Do you believe

Peace Sarah,
I guess so though I will disagree a little in regards to intention. Lot?s of people have the right intention just go about things the wrong way. For instance many Christians have the right intention to worship god etc but I wouldn?t consider it the right way, same as Muslim they have good intentions yet they?re actions aren?t so right. What about having the intention to make the most delicious cake but the wrong ingredients.. Intentions and actions matter, in my opinion anyway.
I understand your point sis and I agree. Intention alone is not enough. I think that's where openness comes in. If we're humble and open, and the intention is sincere, then we're capable of "listening to all views and following what is best".
Peace,

there's a difference between "i intend to follow the truth so i will continue to explore it" or "i intend to follow the religion i was taught or a religion that previously exists with all answers furnished for me"
i figure the first example, intending to follow the truth, is more along the lines of what Tay was speaking towards
most people don't follow a religion because they have the intention to "worship" god anyways... that's all the outer appearance... it benefits them in the community in which they live

Salam Sis,
Though I believe using the analogy was taking things a bit to deep or far.. And I can understand your perspective it?s just an opinion no big deal but please be thoughtful of others emotions )
I hear ya, but really? Do you really think it was a to far? I'm not really sure here about any of this sis. I went back and re-read the thread and I'm sitting here thinking the only too deep or far thing I see is the constant accusation toward me that I'm defaming and slandering, "double talking" etc. I mean how come that's not considered defaming? Just because I choose not to let it get to me, is that reason for someone to say such things?
Lets take a short analysis of the ah so slanderous and defamous (is that even a word?) evidence here
I didn't see Phoenix taking any offense to anything here as much as Tay who is using tactics, much like the US Republican political party, that once someone opposes their views they cry foul and so starts the accusations etc.
Well, the first portion is well figured out by your post above. The second part consists of two key elements that directs my thought toward Tay a. his name Tay b. the word tacticts.
I believe the following definitions work good
3.
(used with a singular verb) any mode of procedure for gaining advantage or success.
4.
(usually used with a singular verb) Linguistics.
a.
the patterns in which the elements of a given level or stratum in a language may combine to form larger constructions.
b.
the study and description of such patternThe third part would consist of much like the US Republican political party
Since Tay continously stresses the his fact that his definitions are different than mine (which is something I disagree with) he therefore appears to be arguing over simple terms and words. Politicians (as well as lawyers) argue over words. Hence the analogy. The republican portion is simply due to the fact that this is a tactic that has been widely used today as we see in the media. It's an effective method that takes any form of non-consent and vilifies the opposing view.I didn't see it being too far off but instead a decent analogy of what I'm seeing happen. As this thread is simply asking about such open interpetations etc. I would think that if Tay was so grounded in his beliefs he probably would not be so overly sensitive to my views. And there would in reality take his own views such as ""listening to all views and following what is best". Instead he appears to automaticly take what is worst. Something that is, nor has ever been intended my me.
some people like to argue A LOT,it makes me want to open a thread about it,but, then i stop and think....it will create more arguing! so no way
its like boredom, lots of it that create these posts, and long posts!
i hope yall reflect and start talking about solutions for all other than personal judgement. me myself, has never been caught up in any arguments yet,nor any members have showed hostility towards me.some disagreement is ok...then debate...and get to a conclusion, quick.
i seek refuge in God from the devil that tries to make me argue. This quote above is a standard example of "mode of control". nope
Think before you guys post please.
peace
