Ok johhny,so if there always has to be one cause preceding an effect how can there be a first cause which is uncaused itself?
ps;I do take your point somewhat on infinite time, but its infinite relative to humans....

JK- Thts right theres no first cause. First cause does not make any sense unless we wanna beleive in magic before tht. GOD Bless!

Ok,i agree on that,so where does god fit into this? Why not an infinite number of lesser gods/causes?

JK- Coz over time they would combine into one singularity. Thats why we see the laws of the universe being the same all over also. And even by us humans applying the scientific method wer coming closer together and starting to resolve our disputes. This is how the system gets ahead, otherwise at some stage it would destroy itself and if equal creation and construction occured through infinite time there would be what i previously termed as the infinite intervention problem and nothing could exist. GOD Bless!

Isnt it a law of the universe that no single thing (ie,god.) can be infinite? Only the whole universe considered as a whole can be infinite.
            Creation+god= bigger than just god.......

God is out of the universe?

Is it SERIOUSLY that hard to fathom such a thing?

Tell me how they interact with the universe when they are out of it?

If I knew as much, I would.

But why is an all-powerful entity unable to interact with what they created?

The issue was how can an entity OUTSIDE of the universe interact with the universe?

Ok,we will see what others think,i think an entity that is not of this universe and not subject to its laws cannot interact with the universe, making it moot and fictional....

An omniscient omnipotent entity that CREATED the universe?

Again, I ask, why is it difficult to fathom such a thing?

Its not about fathoming it,its about proofs for its reality, and how this entity interacts with the universe? Why did god say ponder his signs if all we have to fathom is that its a possibility he exists? Why cant a christian say 'why cant you fathom god having a son,or god becoming a man? Isnt god all-powerful enough to become a man on earth...???? who to believe muslims or christians? Capiche?

                              From a Muslim POV

We can fathom God having a son. In the Quran, God denies this. Therefore, we deny that God had a son. Capiche?

"Why did god say ponder his signs if all we have to fathom is that its a possibility he exists? "

Who brang about the matter in the Big-Bang?

YUSUFALI Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

Are we not made of some 80% water? Did we not originate from clay particles and that which is in the soil?

JK- First this cant really be called a law but it is logically true for a finite universe ofcourse. A law is something which is not just true because logic disctates so like 2+2=4. Conisder gravity. Cldve been different. Cldve acted differently like dimishing by the power fourth of the disatnce instead of square as it increases. Electrons couldve moved differently if the laws of the forces were different. Now we already discussed tht 1) theres either an infinite no of, over interrelated relativ infinite time, universes which all interconnected over infinite time becoming an intelligent harmony 2) there is an infinitely great universe like Stephen Hawkins now propoeses which infact also makes more sens eto me from which all things evolve/are created. In any of these two cases a single infinite unit Intelligence is bound to evolve given infinite time which also must have passed if wer not to violate causality. It doesnt make any sense otherwise. GOD Bless!

i had the same questions and a friend of mine told me

every few million years (if i am not mistaken) there's a mutation

Mutations in these genes can produce new or altered traits, resulting in heritable differences (genetic variation) between organisms.

                                    http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution

you mean you haven't seen bigfoot?

                                      Peace "angel",

                                      if evolution is true then...

                                      1. Why has nobody ever discovered a half-man ~ Half-ape creature? there should be a loads of them.

JK- Why exactly HALF man HALF ape. Ofcourse there were transiitonal forms and many fossils have been found supporting this showing PARTLY human and partly ape creatures. Australopithecus, Homo Ergaster, Homo Erectus, Homo Georgicus, Homo Habilis to name a few. Probably youve heard that lie from creationists. Please visit http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_evolution and http//www.talkorigins.org for mroe details.

                                      1. Why are apes still not evolving?

JK- Every living creature including us and apes is in continuous trnasiiton with minor changes from generatiuon to generation. However since most of the apes today and we too are quite perfectly adopted to the environment they and we live in so there arnt any great changes occuring. If suddenly, and this is indeed a rare event, a certain ape species would go off track and starts a livng elsewhere in a diff environemnt then more prominent changes would occur in subsequent generations, since small changes accumulate to form larger ones, ultimately leading for an external viewer to consider the former and the new ceratures he sees now a totally diff creature/species. Here are two videos which demonstarte this quite well

every few million years (if i am not mistaken) there's a mutation

i remember a guy who did a degree on Darwinian evolution claiming that there is no evidence for "mutants" who mate to create new species.

How many contemporary scientists believe in Aristole's theory that the universe has always existed?
