where is Allah?

For Allah? Where?
17111 Say "Praise be to Allah, who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!"
This just says he wouldn't have a son, but that does not directly translate in him being genderless. You are attempting to stretch things.
1123 He begetteth not, nor is He begotten
1124 And there is none like unto Him
Yeah, no male like him. A unique, all powerful male
Anyway, how come it doesn't say that there is none like unto her?
Oh please, don't even bother to try it. You're wasting your time and my time.
Yes, while the Quran says that ALL things are created in pairs. Whoops.
Well, I don't know about that. But it all sounds like evolution, natural selection and survival of the fittest to me. That's what you are inadvertantly borrowing from whether you realize it or not. Remember, doesn't Allah completely decide who survives and who doesn't?. You're talking natural selection and survival of the fittest. Boy, you guys borrow from anybody.
Oh, so a male can't create beings with genders? What precludes that? Anyway, why does it always say "he" instead of "she"?
See SHM's post.

Actually, the role of genders is very clear and obvious. Remember, you need the RTM build of the human brain to understand. Alpha or Beta builds just won't cut it.
Yeah, no male like him. A unique, all powerful male
What a conclusion.
Oh please, don't even bother to try it. You're wasting your time and my time.
Duh...

You are struggling between the concepts of an active and passive God. I'm borrowing from reality, which shows genders have a very specific role in creation, what are you borrowing from?

We are talking about the creator of the concept of genders, not the creator of gendered beings (though they are the same thing at the grandest level). As for the latter, does it slip through one eye and come out of the other? Sheesh. To borrow your own words...
Oh please, don't even bother to try it. You're wasting your time and my time.

es, while the Quran says that ALL things are created in pairs. Whoops.

Oh, it doesn't say that? Oh really?
You are struggling between the concepts of an active and passive God.
I am not at all. Passive means that it's set to work on it's own. Active means that continual action has to be taken. There. Pretty simple. Now stop with the nonsense. I'm not misunderstanding anything, and I told you exactly why Allah can passively prevent the moon and sun from catching up to each other while both orbit the earth by merely setting their orbit speeds correctly. Why did you ignore that? So passive or active really doesn't have much to do with the issue becauise my idea can work passively or actively. So why do you bother? you're just creating covolutions to veer away from the heart of the matter, that's all.
I'm borrowing from reality, which shows genders have a very specific role in creation, what are you borrowing from?
Someone who could have been male and therefore created the male before the female and has given special preference to the male and always is referred to as "he" as opposed to "she".
We are talking about the creator of the concept of genders
Actually, that would be the creator of genders. WE are the creators of the concept.
not the creator of gendered beings (though they are the same thing at the grandest level). As for the latter, does it slip through one eye and come out of the other? Sheesh. To borrow your own words...
Why don't you just simply tell me why it never uses "she"? Pretty simple, right?

This is unrelated to the "meteor" argument. God can be either active or passive in the grandest sense, meaning that God can be the watchmaker God, or the lazy God (Be, and it is), I go with the latter.

Yawn...
Actually, that would be the creator of genders. WE are the creators of the concept.
Nope. The creator of the concept is the one that decided to implement the concept, who decided the roles each should follow, and so on, and so on, and who controls the balance through hormones and other biological things. God, Zeus, Allah, Ra, physics, nature, whatever. I call it, the creator.
We didn't create or assign the roles of genders, genders were around for billions of years, long before "we" came onto the scene.
Why don't you just simply tell me why it never uses "she"? Pretty simple, right?

Second lesson in Arabic for you
Arabic has three genders expressed by two particles he and she, no speific particle for the non-specified-gendered/neutre nouns. (i.e a bi-gendered language)
***"She" is specific to feminine (humans; objects; animals; plants..);
***"he" is specific to
1- masculine (humans; animals; objects; plants..) and2- The "unkown/neutre/genderless", whether it is a creation or God Himself. For "someone" or "nobody" for example, in Arabic we refer to this person as "he", who might turn out to be a "she". This has nothing to do with faith or fairness. Each language has its characteristics. You cannot refer to something wihout gender except in languages that have three particles for the three cases of gender. French is the same as Arabic in this since it is a bi-gendered language. English, though not gendered, has its gender-based bias. Language is not prejudiced. The way people use it is.
English is not gendered. How do we refer to "God" in English? If we say "She", then we decided that God is feminine. But if we want to refer to Him as "genderless", we use "He" which is also used for the neutre.
It is also worth noting that the masculine plual is either a group of males only, or a group where there is at least one male. A feminine plural is ONLY for a group of 100% females.
And a last note The women movement that inspired politically correct changes to the English language (e.g. chairperson instead of chairman; them/their instead of he/his; herstory for history of women...etc) was inspired or triggered by the heavy anti woman bias in the Christian thought (story of the Fall; longer impurity after birth of female than that of male...) and the bias in the usage of the English language in general {Mister/mistress; professional (for male) and professional (for female)}

I meant that there is a reality, and then there are concepts that we create about reality through observation, but that flew right past you.

Dammit, this is the 4th time I've asked about this and everyone keeps repeating it. This does not say anything except for she is feminine and he is masculine. So what? That is the case in any language.

No you don't, that's bull. Actually, if anything, inanimate things that are adored are usually referred to as she.

The active God doesn't exist.
I meant that there is a reality, and then there are concepts that we create about reality through observation, but that flew right past you.
The concept of gender existed long before humans. Everything knew its place in the system. We didn't create the very concept of gender, God did, and we named it thus. The creator of genders defined the roles of genders, and we play no part in that, except of our own. Still, men can't get pregnant yet.
So why does it always say he instead of she?

Well obviously, that's not true as there are asexual creatures. I'll leave you to that..
The active God doesn't exist.
There is no active God? Everything is preordained and runs on it's own? Ya' know? This is all completely wild conjecture on your part and this is starting to go downhill.

Peace,
I was watching a lecture regarding this question from the IRF (Islamic Research Foundation), which Dr Zakir Naik is a part of. I dont know the name of the speaker, but he was saying about people who say that God is Omnipresent. He said that thought was Kufr, and that God is in arsh, the throne. I thought, if he truely thinks this way, his way of thinking is more kufr then God being Omnipresent, or in no location at all.
Peace
-
GOD the controller of the total system or one whos in arsh(throne) makes more sense than the omnipresent thing.
he has given us the 6th sense or the power to do certain things which GOD only can do otherwise.
ie like going against GOD's system, yet he is the controller, change us or make us repent when we transgressed the limit, we are able to understand our mistakes as k for forgiveness and do good to nullify the mistakes.for ex... theres this global warming which is man made and we are know able to sense it and do things to reduce that and to save our earth.
no other creations go against GOD's system, except human with their god given ability.

Peace Amin

If arsh is literally a place, wouldn't that mean that God is confined to a certain point? Then again, the same could be said about if God could lie, or make a boulder too heavy for him to lift, and still be omnipotent.

Peace,
Try to think of a place where the god does not exist, or where he cannot exist. ???
Peace all
Good thread
and a good reminding question bravo -
God is "everywhere". The Universe was created by GOD in seven Layers (seven Heavens) (seven Strengths). He is firmly established on the thrown and we are currently under the lowest "heaven" or "layer". He surrounds "Everything" ... so He surrounds the Universe from ALL sides. His Spirit and Angels regulate everything in the Universe at HIS command. 2 Angels are by our side at ALL times ... protecting us by the Command of GOD and recording all that we say and do ...one of them will be our witness and one our marcher on the DAY. The Quran is not "just" a literal piece of reading ... it has many hidden meanings which only those chosen by God can understand. The understanding only comes with reading it over and over and over and correlating everything in it. The light starts to shine throw clearly when GOD choses to let it shine on someone. Mankind has lost its footing and the promised punishment will come.
God Sees thrown every eye and He Hears throw every ear ... HE is everywhere. All livings things were created from fluid (Maa), Maa is fluid not water .... but water is a fluid. So what do you think GOD is IF 'everything" living came from fluid??

Peace,
When I was pregnant with my children, many people referred to my baby as "he". So what? All it really meant is that the gender was unknown. Why is it so important to figure out whether God is a male or female? As I read earlier... "he" is a gender free word in the arabic language. Is that hard to understand? If it's a gender free word then it makes perfect sense... since God has no gender.
Blessing to all!
