    To the real Deen ,History is equally important.
    Evidence Quran has narrated the history of Prophets particularly that of Prophet Moses PBUH in detail.
    And orders
    3042
    (3042) (O Prophet,) say to them, "Go about in the land and see what has been the end- of those who lived before (you). Most of them were mushriks (idolaters). *

    Correct. Though the Quran itself gave the example, which is what we need for guidance. Please differentiate.

      ACK! So now you've juxtaposed me and 'a muslim'. Very interesting. Indeed!! hmm

      You should change your name to "Al3azza" so you get counted with muslims

          Dear friends
          Who is Zaid in this Aya??

          3337

          To my knowledge there is no zaid in the ayah at all.

          And (remember) when (he) said to him ?you have received the grace of Allah and favour "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But didst hide in the heart that which Allah was about to make manifest and didst fear the people, but Allah had better right that he should have feared Him. So when their desire to finally end the union increased We joined her in a new marriage tie in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in the wives yearning/cry, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.

          God Bless All.

              Neither the Grand Quran is inexplicit nor Deen is equivalent to the sum total of Quran +Sunna {here it is meant what is stated by a number of non Arab historians/collections of hearsays etc}. Quran has defined Deen as Millat Ibrahim, which the Last Messenger was advised to follow. The "Sunna" of the Last Messenger is the one recorded in Quran.

              The Grand Quran {not the hadith quoted by someone} has unambiguously stated that Sydena Zaid was the adopted son {a son not born of him but known as son since by the utterance of his mouth he called him as his son}

              ?And We have not made whom you call with your tongues sons as your sons? {Refer 33{04}

                            I had referred to only part of the Ayah which was relevant to the subject/point under discussion. The Ayah on the subject begins with the Name of Allah; ?Allah has not made/created/assigned?; and in the part of the Ayah cut from the original; ?We? does not mean Mazhar and Leoxyz but certainly it means and refers to Allah.

                            YUSUFALI Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce by Zihar your mothers nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But Allah tells (you) the Truth, and He shows the (right) Way.
                            PICKTHAL Allah hath not assigned unto any man two hearts within his body, nor hath He made your wives whom ye declare (to be your mothers) your mothers, nor hath He made those whom ye claim (to be your sons) your sons. This is but a saying of your mouths. But Allah saith the truth and He showeth the way.
                            SHAKIR Allah has not made for any man two hearts within him; nor has He made your wives whose backs you liken to the backs of your mothers as your mothers, nor has He made those whom you assert to be your sons your real sons; these are the words of your mouths; and Allah speaks the truth and He guides to the way.
                            MOHAMMAD ESED God has not created two hearts inside any one human being. God does not consider your wives whom you renounce by zihar as your mothers nor those whom you adopt as your sons. These are only words of your mouth. God tells the Truth and shows the right path.
                            T.B. IRVING God has not placed two hearts in any man's body. Nor has He granted you wives whom you may back away from, to act as your mothers, nor has He granted your adopted sons to be your own sons. That is your own statement made by your own mouths. God states the Truth and He guides one along the Way. Call them after their own fathers; it is fairer so far as God is concerned. If you do not know who their fathers were, then your brothers in religion and your wards.

                            I hope the aforsaid people were not termed/called/identified as "Quranists".

                              Dear friends
                              Who is Zaid in this Aya??

                              3337

                              Salaam Leoxyz,

                              The answer is in the same verse; Recall that you said to the one who was blessed by GOD, and blessed by you, "Keep your wife and reverence GOD," and you hid inside yourself what GOD wished to proclaim. Thus, you feared the people, when you were supposed to fear only GOD. When Zeid was completely through with his wife, we had you marry her, in order to establish the precedent that a man may marry the divorced wife of his adopted son. GOD's commands shall be done.

                              I do not think there is any ambiguity..

                              Regards

                              Ijaz

                                Dear Leoxyz,

                                You started this thread to indirectly suggest that the Quran is not complete to be understood independent of so called Hadith sources/man writrten history. After all this discussion what is your perception now? Whether you still need the hotch potch stories narrated by different people, like said "so and so" and then said "so and so" and then said so and so................? Have you seen now that the Quran is also so explicit and elaborative on the question of "Who is Zaid" leaving no room to be dependent upon story tellers?

                                          To elaborate the substance/concept of the statement instead of Allah "We" was placed therein. I was not translating the Ayah etymologically. Your Zamkhshari jee had also said like that
                                          /
                                          { }

                                          Find some difference in substance. Please also visit thread "Hell", it willhelp you understand. You are not responding on your theory Deen=Quran+Sunna!!
