57:3 translation

I'm still not sure about the translation here.
Could first and last be, eternal, and the following statements, a similar use of words, to give another meaning. Possibly to do with how he knows all things.
Maybe understood with regards to verses about being The Creator, The Sustainer.Maybe.. He is the eternal, the all-controller, he has knowledge of all affairs.

having read the quran, where it says adding words to the quran will result in years added to life in hell, i advise the following caution.
please dont add the word eternal.
