Sent down or handed down or given means the religion that comes with the scriptures. The Tawrat is not what Gabriel revealed word by word. I think the Tablet came directly from God word by word, there was the 10 commandments in them. But the Koran can mean here the religious knowledge that the scriptures contain.

Peace, What keeps me wondering is... Did he kept standing on this place while building the kaaba... did not he move around? Also, the height on the kaaba.. he could not have make is this high with such a low standing point.
