JK- Four witnesses doesnt mean that four people have to witness it at once. Can be one at one time 2nd another and so on. Moreover if a camera movie has been made by one and tht movie checked, verified and shown to the public i say now all those whove watched automatcially become eye witnesses too. To me, this 100 lashes thing makes absolutely no sense. In God's law, every individual is punished by God. Not by the people unless the people are the victims. If a person has irresponsible sex, he or she will face the consquences. JK- As i said the lashed could yet be interpreted as being symbolical and not severe but this is what the majority of the people in a country following Quranic Laws have to decide as they decide on other meanings/interpretations of words. In GOD's law if human rights have been violated, of which irresponsibility is a great part(know that that driving a car too fast or crossing the red light are both irresponsible acts and are punishable by law), there is legal punishment to be carried out by the society. Hello everyone. I recently converted to Islam. When I read the Koran for the first time, I took notice of how often we are reminded that the Koran is perfect. So much so, I'll admit that after a while I found it annoying. I'd smack my forehead and moan silently, "Yes, yes. The Koran is perfect. I. Get. It. Why does this need to be repeated every ten minutes?" Then I discovered hadiths, and it was all too clear why that message needed repeating. Because even after being told a zillion times that the Koran is perfect, some people still don't get it. brickwall Thank you for making this website and forum. (God is the Most Glorious) However, I came on this site to know more about the Glorious Qur'an and know it in its spiritual than literal meanings, free from the sectarian dogmatism of Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahhabi and other thoughts. Although I am a Baha'i, I still have problems accepting hadiths, because of the multitude of them and how the Qur'an is 'complete' and free from extra-Qur'anic sources. The hadiths are used to 'prophecy' Lord Baha'u'llah's coming, but I believe that the Qur'an alone is sufficient instead. We don't need extra-Qur'anic sources to understand the Qur'an, nor do we need extra-Biblical sources for the Bible, nor extra-Tanakh resources for the Tanakh! God's Words are perfect and without blemish, and to abuse and pervert the true meanings of God is to pervert God Emself. "O my friend, were the bird of thy mind to explore the heavens of the Revelation of the Qur?an, were it to contemplate the realm of divine knowledge unfolded therein, thou wouldst assuredly find unnumbered doors of knowledge set open before thee.
