As for your shahada question, submitting to God is a mental state. It has nothing to do with signing up to be a Muslim at a mosque and receiving a membership certificate to prove your Muslimness.

Their contract is with who? Dubai employers or local agencies in their own countries?

As for your comment on the Mexican immigrant - this example is totally different. The Mexican breaks the law of his own volition to attempt to earn money in the U.S.A.. So stories about the poor lives they lead or their desperation is only their fault because they have made their own decision. These people, in Dubai, have done everything legally (for instance I remember reading an article about a doctor who came from South America do U.K. could not get a job and worked as a menial worker, he wrote to the newspaper and was castigated for this).

Then just like the Mexicans they can just stay the hell in their own countries. If they dont like Dubai then dont go there.

The fact that they have such primitive laws and morality, despite their lifestyle, is proof that Dubai is the 3rd world with money.
So what if Dubai is a 3rd world country? Nobody in the world ever said Dubai was a developed country. Developments in Dubai are still happening all over the country. I dunno why you seem to be so jealous of Dubai's success. Like I said despite its drawbacks Dubai and other Gulf States are still ahead of the rest of the primitive Middle East.

Thanks for your response,and iam not offended at all.Actually what i feel is we cant say why we fall in love,how we chose a person,it just happens,and then becomes our weakness.I might have got a better Hindu man for sure but i felt i will be very happy in the company of a perosn whom i love.By the way except in the matters of relegion he is quite a nice person,very very caring.But when he is angry its like he cant control himself,but i think love is all about tolerating a person even when he is at his worst....... )

Yes we cannot choose love. It just happens. All Im saying is that culture and finance can become fatal factors for love if you know what I mean. Lets face it in reality love alone isnt enough. We have to make a choice in life. If you are happy with your choice then so be it.

Meh, I fail to see the problem. No country is perfect. An-anti American journalist for example can also write similarly negative article about American society. Those unfortunate people in the article should have learnt about Dubai more prior to going to the country. There is no such a thing as heaven on earth where you can party 24 hours without expecting repercussion. Its similar as a story about a Mexican immigrant who risked his life to crossing the desert into USA only to get arrested by the American border patrol upon reaching the Land of Freedom.

With all its minus, the Arab Gulf States are still much more advanced relatively socially and especially economically than the rest of the Arab World. Just remember Rome wasnt built in one day. Just 20 years ago UAE was nothing but desert. It took USA 200 years to get where they are now. And dont forget just 30 years ago in USA people with black skin and white skin couldnt share the same bathroom, drinking fountain, school, or seats in public places.

In my opinion the problem with Dubai is that its moving too fast. However I can understand this because Dubai has nothing but oil and sand. Now the oil is dwindling and they need to exploit it as quick as they can in order to have a country with an economy independent from oil. Lets see what will become of Saudi Arabia for example when oil stops serving them. They will be back to their camels and fighting over water wells.

Sexual drive keeps humanity going. But I do think that the drive in men is way too much. Maybe in the past its good for men to have the urge to spread his seeds everywhere because infant mortality used to be very high especially when they were still apes in the jungle. But today its more of a burden.

Salafism is stronger than ever. I cant wait for the emergence of alternative energy so Saudi Arabia will be back to its desert way fighting over a well and not having enough money to build 'evil' mosques throughout the world.

Most converts in the West seem to turn into Islamic extremism. Its very sad. I mean I talked with a recent young Australian convert who was very extreme that she crossed out any picture of her in the past in which she wore no veil. I tried to talk some sense into her but she ended up calling me kuffar and stuff. WTF!

Yeah, as a youth growing up in America I can testify this by my own experience. The Muslim youth in America scare me more than those in the motherland. All they think about is kuffar this and kuffar that. They hate Jews, Christians, Americans, or Israelis 100X more than Muslims in Muslim countries and they take more pride in being a Muslim 100X also.

I asked this 'super Muslim' youth one time who claimed to read Al Quran regularly. I said, "Is dog haram according to Al Quran?" And without hesitation he answered, "Yes it is haram in Al Quran!" )

Although men are more violent and aggressive than women (just think of prison inmates statistics), yet peaceful men are much, much more than violent ones. Where is their tesosterone gone?

1. Social factors (education, environment, childhood experience, standard of living, social conditioning, etc).

2. Testosterone level in men vary. Once I read for example that average East Asian men have lower level of testosterone while African men have higher level of testosterone. I dont mean to be racist but it seems this is the reason why many African men are relatively more aggressive and muscular while Asian men tend to be comparatively softer and smaller.

Speaking of sex hormone, a study also showed that women with high level of estrogen are more likely to cheat on their partners and hop from one man to another like many men. So if you want a faithful partner before you marry him/her test his/her sex hormone level. ;D ;D ;D

This is a no-brainer question.

The answer is obviously men and it can largely be credited to a biological cause. It has been proven scientifically that testosterone is the main driving force behind the high level of ambition, aggressiveness, sex drive, and insensitivity in average men.

Just today in my Psychology course I learned that most inmates involved in violent crimes have relatively high level of testosterone.

So I guess God is partly to blame for making us men the way we are. ;D ;D ;D

I might be kind of busy this week, a man I know is coming from NJ to see me because we are thinking of marrying, it is our first time meeting and we are both so excited. He is originally from Chad, Africa....hope he likes pale white Minnesota women like me, LOL....he's seen my picture so I don't think I will shock him to much. yay If things continue to go well with us then he will move here in the summer and we will marry then. Beware of culture shock. Unless he grew up in USA you need to make sure you know what he expects from you as a wife and he knows what you expect from him. Its a fact that most intercultural marriages dont work.
