I think those who received previous revelations are everybody, since the Qur'an itself says that God has sent messengers to all peoples. As to ahl al kitaab, we should first deal with what the "kitaab is. It is not the Qur'an , since the Qur'an has its own name in the Qur'an itself,. The kittab is one of the constituents of the Qur'an, hikma, is another constituent of the Qur'an. Salaam Read verses 4.153 - 173. Maybe because of the reference to the divinity of Jesus did some people think it also talks about Christains. This is because some Jews claimed Jesus claimed divinity and that is why they reject him. In reality Jesus's laim that he was the messiah was the reason. The verse I mentioned clearly is talking about the Israelites.

Salams and nice to see you again as well ) Sorry i didn't respond sooner as my internet connection is weak, and i'm kind of busy. No i do not currently partake on traditional Qurban, but you can certainly can. Historically, yes i did make offerings to God, i think it was out of being Thankful. I did not sacrifice Animals however, it was actually plants, since that was all i had.... But You can certainly go ahead and sacrifice and feed the poor. However, Meat is kind of expensive and not that calorie rich.... I would suggest giving to the poor calorie rich foods like bread/sandwiches... or you could donate to Hunger charity and save yourself some time and money.

1587 And infact We have given you the seven oft-recited (verses of Surah Al-Fatihah) and the Grand Qur'an. Is Surah Al-Fatihah not part of Quran? 15 Show us the straight path, http//www.islamawakened.com/quran/1/5/default.htm Is this verse speech from human being? If you remove the parenthesis from the translation you quoted(?), not much remains of your question. Check your assumptions! What if you are erroneously assuming that 1587 even refers to chapter 1? Any reasoning, no matter how seemingly logical, based on such an assumption must inevitably lead astray! I think al-Fatiha is a very interesting topic. I find the chapter helps me greatly in daily life. It serves as a most powerful reminder of many profound truths that ought not be forgotten.

Peace, As far as I can remember, the quran gives some guidelines regarding talking or discussing with people, and it is about the manner in which you do it... like don't take part in vain talk, leave such companies until they change the topic... always be respectful when talking to people... and similar things. I don't recall any details, and I cannot give you any verse numbers on the fly... but perhaps those who can will take time to post an answer to you. My main point is that, I don't think that the quran differentiates between different people as far as discussions are concerned. It more talks about different types of subjects and different types of manners. Kind regards Salaam, I agree. Further more... 16125 16125 Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided. Main important point to remember while discussing or debating is "to call to the path of your Lord". We are not allowed to invite to debate hadith or some other scrap. Nor we are allowed to debate or discuss to win. Secondly, our way for discussing or debating should be as per blue highlighted part in above quoted aayat. Unfortunately, most of us forget the red part most of the time. Please check 12108 also in relation to this. 5329 5329 So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life. "Aa'radha" does not mean "turn away" but it means "ignore/take easy/don't give importance" and there is no "Our message" in Arabic as translated above. It says "zikrinaa" means "our remembrance". 463 463 Those are the ones of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them and admonish them and speak to them a far-reaching word. Highlighted part in above aayat says "and admonish them and say to them that which reaches into their souls/nafs". 668 668 And when you see those who engage in discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversion. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people. "Aa'aridh" is used once again in this aayat. Please also check 4140 in relation to the above. May Allah increase us in knowledge and guide us to His true path pr mmKhan

Peace Faithful-Jinn. I have compared and checked facts myself. I suggest you do the same. I also do not endorse any sect or group. However I am giving you this link That started me on my search http//www.submission.info/quran/miracle/simplefacts.html The facts that I could confirm were enough for me as a proof . Also my faith got stronger through studying the Qoran and seeking GOD s help. It is a long and hard journey, I am still on that journey seeking the Lord Alone. I do not belong to any religion or sect. Peace.

Because Allah swt wanted so. Simple, no? that doesn't convince me, there must be an intelligible explanation to that rabbana ma khalaqta hadza bathilan sub7anaka faqina 3azaabannar What are these dirty tricks you're talking about? the dirty trick is on behalf of the patriarch oriente system the patriarch oriented system has deviated from the path somehow and Allah SWT is trying to correct it through the concept of 3eesa AS You mean Qur'an never mentions prophet Sulayman? Sorry, I don't quite understand, English is not my native language and obviously, neither is yours. So, please explain. Thanks. Salaams. where in the Quran does it mention "Sulayman ibn dawood"? i see "3eesa ibn maryam" and "ibn ummi" salaam

Farida, I agree, but I am not sticking around another year to find out personally. I know that is disobedient in regards to what the Qu'ran gives, but I have to save my sanity and quickly. And I kept reciting that verse over and over and over again for two years ...praying, meditating, waiting...nothing got better. In my opinion, this marriage was a result of my own stupid decision...I got myself into it, and I am getting myself out. I think it would be better seeing that my religious views are changing, too. Salaam Only you know what you are going through we can only pray that there is a best solution for you and your daughter as she too will getting out of it. Often life is harder for all parties after divorce. Peace

salam scaredmuslimah, i also don't believe in the original sin so what if their life generation becoming shorter is due to the decrease in their understanding to the absolute truth..? as generation drift away from the correct connection (salat) to Allah SWT by means of spiritual and physical understanding of the absolute truth they severe their harmony with nature and themselves, so they have less guard (libaas) against pathology be it physical or spiritual the more awareness of the absolute truth, the more chances that we implement(tend our choices/longing/love toward) them correctly the better libaas against those pahtology, and the better life expactancy wallahua3lam Awesome insight!

Peace All, What Al Quran says about people who lack knowledge about laws and yet advice others? OR Even better proclaim what they say/think is to be true? Regards Salam ignorant.quotient, There are principles in the Quran on how to go about searching for knowledge, i'll mention some 3918] Sahih International Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding. And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except conjectures, and they are not but falsifying. Indeed, you are in differing speech. ( Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. (9) Destroyed are the falsifiers (10) Who are within a flood and heedless. (11) They ask, "When is the Day of deen?" (12) the Day they will be tormented over the Fire (13) , "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." (14) Some new agers are so believing in the idea that they can change the world beyond what Allah SWT bounded. I believe this is what Ifk is all about. Delusion beyond measures. Their ifk(delusion) will khara9 (falsify) the absolute truth, about the day of deen(Recompense?/reckonning?/truth?/beliefs?). So as long as we can justify by the words/terms of the Quran, we won't deviate too far from the 9iraat al-mustaqeem. The more we can connect between the dots/verses/signs the accurate we will be in the aim to absolute truth.. this is what i understand of the meaning Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Wallahua3lam

Not going to answer because it is an obvious one for me, anyway. But I will wonder why one will pick the Torah over the Bible. Should not the Bible contain Tanakh/Old Testament which then includes the Torah? Unless we're talking about Hebrew Torah here S

Salam Gnosis, I think if Sulayman AS was calling for help from Jinns, what's it different from us calling for another human's help? I think there is a way for us to communicate with Jinn and it has to do with the state of Sakar and it has something to do with the usage of grapvine and fruit of some sort, Graham Hancock has some mentioning on ayahuascan brew of some sort. Sakar is not intoxicant, since the word sends out a negative connotation unless you regard death as negative. As long as we don't worship the jinn or human in that case we should be safe. wallahua3lam

Peace ephraim7. Islam just means " submission to GOD". Islam existed since mankind existed. What you seem to be talking about is " traditional islam" the religion practised today! Well of course that did not exist before Muhammed, like Judaism did not exist before Moses and Christianity did not exist before Jesus. You will also notice that there are a lot of man made stuff in all these religions. By the way you have not answered in this thread that you have opened, are you still interested? Or are you just leaving others to discuss your " idea"? Peace.

Salaam. "The Arabs say We believe. Say Ye believe not, but rather say "We submit," for the faith hath not yet entered into your hearts. Yet, if ye obey Allah and His messenger, He will not withhold from you aught of (the reward of) your deeds. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. The believers are those only who believe in Allah and His messenger and afterward doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their lives for the cause of Allah. Such are the sincere. Say Would ye teach Allah your religion, when Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and Allah is Aware of all things?" - Qur'an 4914-16 We can see that, in order to be rewarded for their deeds and in order to be considered sincere believers (mu'min) according to Allah, we must believe AND strive in the cause of Allah (i.e. obey His Laws, avoid sins, enjoin what is right, etc.). That, by definition, is one who has Submitted (i.e. a Muslim). Allah implies through these verses that one who has not submitted (i.e. a non-Muslim) is not considered a sincere believer (mu'min), nor is such a person's deeds fully rewarded. We also see that believing in Allah's Messenger (and it is extremely obvious through the context that this is specifically referring to Muhammad peace be upon him) is a requirement for being a Muslim, as well as belief in One God. And the last verse is Allah telling the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to tell the people that this is not a matter of debate. Salam Abdul-Hakeem, I disagree with your interpretation. The definition of a muslim is clear in this verse Sahih International Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims ." The verse on the arabs(bedouins in this translation?) Sahih International The bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, "You have not believed; but say , 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." Clearly shows that to be a muslim is one step toward becoming a mu'min. and to be a mu'min is to have it in their hearts to obey Allah and His Messenger. This notion is fortified in the verse you quoted Sahih International The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful. So it's totally different concept between a muslim and a mu'min. And to deny others to be called a mu'min let alone a muslim is not good as per Sahih International O you who have believed, when you go forth in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted. wallahua3lam

Peace Andia Primanda. There is a direct line to GOD . Only HIS authority must be upheld. Only HIS word must be followed. Actually if you hold any other authority as part of your system/din/religion, you are committing " idol worship". Only HIS commandments/laws/rules must be followed 6150 Say? Bring your witnesses who would testify that GOD has prohibited this or that.? ( or made this rule and that rule! if they are not mentioned in HIS message!) If they testify, do not testify with them. Nor shall you follow the opinions of those who reject our revelations, ( and make up their own rules!) and those who disbelieve in the hereafter ( do not really believe they are accountable!) and those who stray away from their Lord.? ( They like power and want the authority for themselves?) There is no other authority . Only GOD Alone. Peace. I bet a lot of traditionalists will take issue with that statement! They will claim the priests (dead imams, ulama, mufti, etc) has some say in religious matters and must be followed. Then again, it is this very attitude that I want to confront. Most people are happy to give up authority and submit to "knowledgeable" humans. Perhaps because it's the easy way out, let someone else do the thinking.

It's obvious to most people that Salafist/Wahabbis are hypocritical. Personally i don't think relics of the past should be destroyed, even if they are idols, but they pick and choose. As for ancestor worship, they don't even follow their own hadiths. I don't remember specifically, but there are some which say your heritage is not important, your faith is, so they are being hypocrites again. You can't go wrong with just the Qur'an.
