Jaffar funny as ever, (Allah) Rules the cosmic affair from the heavens to the Earth. Then this affair travels to Him a distance in one day, at a measure of one thousand years of what you count. so if 1000 years of Jaffars count = 1 day then 23 years = ? I think that network is not that down grade rotfl

Peace. Well, if you interpret Islam as submission then you can maybe say that all monotheistic religions are valid. No such thing as valid religion either.. If you're a keen observer, you shall notice that Religion functioned as political party in ancient times... you can see political tendency in every religious manifesto that's why we have so many war/conflict between religion. Saying only 'monotheistic religion are valid' is as ridiculous as saying 'only socialist party are valid'.. Thus the statement of "The only religion in sight of God is Islam" is as ridiculous as "The only political party in sight of God is Democrats"... Now you need to dig out the original word of such statement.. as it turns out the word being used is "Dien".. and "Dien" is NOT religion... The same thing in other verses... you can see how they put words in brackets to orient the meaning of verses into something which is align to their religious manifesto... Next, let's discuss 'monotheist'... Monotheist being surfaced due to the introduction of Polytheism.. For those who are never exposed to Polytheism.. they will not even recognize the 'issue' of Monotheism.. Thus Monotheism by itself might not be relevant at all.. for people who never exposed to Polytheism.. Now... what's the true problem of Polytheism???? Perhaps you can answer this question? Salam / Peace

peace Noon, Peace Wakas, 411 ... indeed The God kna/is Knowing Wise Thanks for the verse. After looking into it more, it seems "kana" can indicate the present tense. As a side note, same with "kuntum", sometimes translated as "you are" / "you were".

Salam, all I've seen lately a lot of Muslims talking about Allah being a concept of reality, or just the life force that powers the universe and as such is not a deity, nor should be worshipped. I ask, why must it be exclusively one or the other? My understanding is that Allah is both, and beyond these definitions also. Just trying to understand your viewpoint. Its not a trend.

Salaams , So if they did really love peace why did they send letters out to other countries to convert or face war? I think simply because they never followed the quran but where Hindus in disguise! love a rebuttal though - thank you. God Bless. The Sects claimed that verse 9.5 abrogated the defensive wars of the Quran to an offensive war. This is due to the hadith that says Ibn ?Umar related that the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, said, ?I have been ordered to fight the people until they testify that there is no god except Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer and pay the zakah. If they do that, their blood and wealth are protected from me save by the rights of Islam. Their reckoning will be with Allah.? (Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.)? This of course contradict many verses of the Quran which forbids offensive war and religious coercion. 1682 But if they turn away from you, your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message . 6107 Yet if God had so willed, they would not have ascribed Divinity to aught besides Him; hence, We have not made you their keeper, nor are you a guardian over them. 479-80 Say'Whatever good betides you is from God and whatever evil betides you is from your own self and that We have sent you to mankind only as a messenger and all sufficing is God as witness. Whoso obeys the Messenger, he indeed obeys God. A nd for those who turn away, We have not sent you as a keeper." 1128 He (Noah) said "O my people! think over it! If I act upon a clear direction from my Lord who has bestowed on me from Himself the Merciful talent of seeing the right way, a way which you cannot see for yourself, does it follow that we can force you to take the right path when you definitely decline to take it? 1753-54 And tell my servants that they should speak in a most kindly manner. Verily, Satan is always ready to stir up discord between men; for verily; Satan is mans foe .... Hence, We have not sent you with power to determine their Faith. 21107-109 (O Prophet?) 'We have not sent you except to be a mercy to all mankind" Declare, "Verily, what is revealed to me is this, your God is the only One God, so is it not up to you to bow down to Him?' But if they turn away then say, "I have delivered the Truth in a manner clear to one and all, and I know not whether the promised hour is near or far." 2267 To every people have We appointed ceremonial rites which they observe; therefore, let them not wrangle over this matter with you, but bid them to turn to your Lord. You indeed are rightly guided. But if they still dispute you in this matter, `God best knows what you do." 24.54. Say "Obey God, and obey the Messenger. but if ye turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and ye for that placed on you. If ye obey him, ye shall be on right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to preach the clear (Message). 8821 22; And so, exhort them your task is only to exhort; you cannot compel them to believe. 4828 He it is Who has sent forth His Messenger with the Guidance and the Religion of Truth, to the end that tie make it prevail over every religion, and none can bear witness to the Truth as God does. 3616 17 (Three Messengers to their people) Said, "Our Sustainer knows that we have indeed been sent unto you, but we are not bound to more than clearly deliver the Message entrusted to us.' 3941 Assuredly, We have sent down the Book to you in right form for the good of man. Whoso guided himself by it does so to his own advantage, and whoso turns away from it does so at his own loss. You certainly are not their keeper. 426 48 And whoso takes for patrons others besides God, over them does God keep a watch. Mark, you are not a keeper over them. But if they turn aside from you (do not get disheartened), for We have not sent you to be a keeper over them; your task is but to preach .... 6412 Obey God then and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away (no blame shall attach to our Messenger), for the duty of Our Messenger is just to deliver the message. 6725 26 And they ask, "When shall the promise be fulfilled if you speak the Truth?" Say, "The knowledge of it is verily with God alone, and verily I am but a plain warner." 10.99-100. If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! No soul can believe, except by the will of God, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand 28.55-56 And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say "To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you we seek not the ignorant," It is true thou wilt not be able to guide whom thou lovest; but God guides those whom He will and He knows best those who receive guidance. 109.1-6 Say O ye that reject Faith,! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship, And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship, To you be your Way, and to me mine. 74.11-17 Leave Me with whom I created alone!, To whom I granted resources in abundance, And sons to be by his side, To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable, Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);- By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory!, Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! "So have We appointed for every Prophet an enemy - devils of men and Jinns; who inspire each other with seductive, deceptive speech which leads astray; but had thy Lord willed they would not have done so. So leave them with what they do devise. And let the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter listen to it; and let them be well pleased with it; and let them gain what they can gain!" 6113-114 "And when you see those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they meddle with another topic. And if the devil causes you to forget, sit not, after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrongdoers. 668 2256 There is no compulsion in religion, for the right way is clearly from the wrong way. Whoever therefore rejects the forces of evil and believes in God, he has taken hold of a support most unfailing, which shall never give way, for God is All Hearing and Knowing
  • Why, are rituals alone not helping??

Thanks for commenting, Loxbox13. I not trying to downplay the importance of rituals but wondering why they are not helping us achieve objectives they are designed for. The rituals are designed to make people goes to mosque.. and give donation to the priest/clerics/ulema.. Organized religion rigid and mechanical rituals was started by the Jewish priest during Late Hellenism period.. due to the fact that the new ruling power (Greeks + Roman) keep all of the tax $$$ to themselves which forced the clerics to devise something else to keep the $$$ flowing to them. And then those who invented Islam the religion just copied and paste everything from Judaism.. with slight modification of course to make it 'better'.. In the past, in spite of these rituals, the Muslims achieved great success in all fields of life. And the mechanized rituals actually has nothing to do with it... The 'free thinking' does.. It may be, perhaps, due to domination of secondary sources, we regard these as the bare minimum/maximum to required to achieve Jannah. "Jannah" is attainable through good deeds and character and not through rituals or belief.. rituals have become a means of earning personal sawwabs/rewards (in fact tons of them) through rituals alone. Plus $$$ of donation to the priest and clerics... The world, however does not work this way. Allah has made life a sum of cause and effect. Correct.. We only reap what we sow and due to neglecting our share in this world at the cost of hereafter, we are down in the dumps (and quite content as secondary sources preach that this world is not important, and that what happens to us after we die is what we need to worry about). Truly.. a leap forward for those who used to think that Death is more important than life itself.. (i.e. ancient egyptians and their "Book Of The Dead&quot Allahs Signs are not only in His Books but are spread all over nature and we ignore them to our peril! 100% true... and for the conservative.. despite 'those which was written in the book' does not match the reality / fact which 'are spread over the heaven and the earth (which cannot be forged by any human hands).. they keep on clinging to their old thought for the sake of 'conserving the tradition'.. And they labeled those who dare to go against their opinion as Shaytan, Murtad and Kuffars... Things which has not changed a bit up until now... Salam / Peace

Dear All, To add to the discussion, sharing what I read recently What is DAROOD or SALAWAAT? The word DAROOD is not Arabic. The word SALAWAAT is Arabic. It is usually believed that if we read SALAWAAT on Muhammad for a certain number of times, our sins will be forgiven, so on and so forth. If we see Quran, we come to know that it is not only human beings who are to do SALAWAAT but Allah, His angels as well as the prophet also do SALAWAAT on human beings. Please see the following Allah?s SALAWAAT on human beings 2156 When a calamity befalls them, they do not waver. Rather, they say, "We are for Allah, dedicated to His Cause and every step of ours will advance in the Direction shown by Him." (9159). 2157 It is they on whom is SALAWAAT from their Lord and blesses with His Grace. And it is they, they who are guided to the most desirable destination. The above verse clearly indicates that SALAWAAT can also be on human beings from Allah. Now does this mean that Allah reads for a certain time SALAWAAT on people? It does not make sense. Rasool?s SALAWAAT for human beings 9103 Accept their contribution for the community. Purify their thoughts with proper education and training so that their "Self" may grow. SALLI ALAIHIM Your SALAWAAT is a great source of peace in their hearts. Allah is Hearer, Knower. In the above verse Allah has ordered Muhammad to do SALAWAAT on human beings. Does this mean that Muhammad reads SALAWAAT on people for a certain number of times? It does not make sense. Allah?s and His Angels? SALAWAAT on human beings 3343 He it is Who bestows His blessings upon you, and supports you , and His angels, that He may bring you forth from darkness into the Light. And Merciful is He, indeed, to those who attain belief. In the above verse Allah and His angles do SALAWAAT on momineen. Does this mean that Allah and His angels reads SALAWAAT on people for a certain number of times? It does not make sense. SALAWAT of human beings for RASOOL 999 And among the Bedouins are those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and consider their spending as a means towards Allah and a means of SALAWAAT-E-RASOOL . This will raise their ranks with Allah. Allah will embrace them with His Mercy. Verily, Allah is Forgiving, Gracious. The above verse explains the concept of SALAWAAT by describing ?Spending? as a means of ?support?. Now see the most commonly referred verse according to which momineen should do SALAWAAT on Muhammad 3356 Verily, Allah and His angels bless the Messenger and support his Mission . O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Support his Mission in total submission. Consider all the above verses and decide yourself. Is SALAWAAT just from Momineen for Muhammad ? The answer is no. The SALAWAAT is also from Allah to human beings. The SALAWAAT is also from Muhammad for human beings. So when Allah does SALAWAAT on human beings, Does He read something for a certain number of times on human beings? SALAWAAT is not reading something for a certain number of times but practically doing something i.e. supporting Muhammad?s mission by whatever means we can. SALAWAAT is not something that should be a bone of contention whether there should be a SALAWAAT before azan or not. It has an utterly different meanings and objectives. Thanks for answer So is there any connection between arabic word for prayer and arabic word for help/sipport (salawaat) ? Im talking about arabic grammar

i dont remember who, but someone here on freeminds wrote once that 'ikra' means 'hate'. La ikraha fidden would then mean that there are no hate in attitude. Ikraha = forced/dictated to, disliking, compulsion.. Nonetheless the next sentence said Qod tabayyana al-rushdu min al-ghoyi As Truth stands clear from bullsh*t.. well perhaps muslims would wait untill they are so many that the rednecks would become the silent minority and not be able to do anything. And by then the Muslim will also already be a minority... The sunnis managed to exterminate the jews.. the shiites managed to exterminate the sunnis.. and the shiites has successfully manage to exterminate themselves... a huge war among themselves happened due to the disagreement on the actual size of Khomeini's testicles... in every case... the world would be much better without the enslavement of religion. And it will.... religion will be something of the past very soon... Our children will talk about Al-Qaeda's Jihad, 72 virgins myth, Wahhabism, Sunnis, Shiites, Jesus Blood, Trinity in the same manner as we today talk about Osiris, Amon Ra, Marduk and Human Sacrifice ritual... Thus please keep your children away from religion.... We're f&*d up generation already... our children don't deserve to inherit our madness... Salam / Peace

I think that we can never 100% know the truth about it So here is what we have Translated by Yusuf Ali And behold, We said to the angels "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis he refused and was haughty He was of those who reject Faith. 234 And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels for none are arrogant (before their Lord) 1649 They all revere their Lord, high above them, and they do all that they are commanded. 1650 Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam" They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers! 1850 And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. 1527 The Hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire no helper wilt thou find for them 4145 Except for those who repent, mend (their lives) hold fast to Allah, and purify their religion as in Allah's sight if so they will be (numbered) with the believers. And soon will Allah grant to the believers a reward of immense value. 4146 Verily Man is in loss, 1032 Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy. 1033 Translated bu Shakir Say O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! Thou givest the kingdom to whomsoever Thou pleasest and takest away the kingdom from whomsoever Thou pleasest, and Thou exaltest whom Thou pleasest and abasest whom Thou pleasest in Thine hand is the good; surety, Thou hast power over all things. 326 a) Angels have no free will and jinn is not one of the angels b) Angels have no free will except jinn. He is one "race" of angels with free will c) Angel is a just a tittle (kingdom) who is given to a special being who obey 100% God and when Angel doesn't obey God, tittle is taken away by God As I know the nature of angels directly is not mention in Quran. Maybe according to "b option" it is not mention directly in Quran because jinn=angel and angel=fire So what do you think which one could be the correct one. Is there any other option that I have forgotten to mention. God knows the truth

Ruuube, I have begun reading the one posted on the free-minds site, but I will have a look into the one you mentioned also. I am unfortunately a very shallow person, so if something requires me to go too deep in order to gain understanding, I will more than likely avoid it. Hopefully that aspect of my personality will dissolve as I get older. One of those things I don't like about myself but find almost impossible to change. With Peace, Amina

I put my reply as separate thread.. http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9604141.0 However it's true that islam will takeover the world.. however it's islam the attitude and not Islam the religion. Islam the religion is on it's way to extinction... perhaps in the next few centuries...

Wow. Lots of opinions Just like the scholars of hadiths Ok just need to clarify further. In the context of the Quran (please dont quote other scriptures), is Gods prohibitions supposed to be very clear? If we are not allowed to get tattoos, shouldnt there be a verse which goes something like this. "Thou shall not get tattoos or ink your body".

Peace NielsJacob. What about this verse 1850 We said to the angels, "Fall prostrate before Adam." They fell prostrate, except Satan. He became a jinn, for he disobeyed the order of His Lord.* Will you choose him and his descendants as lords instead of Me, even though they are your enemies? What a miserable substitute! You can check different translations also. Peace
