Earth is perfect. Look at yourself, you are a perfect creation. Every particle that makes you up is exactly where it belongs. Why is there suffering? Well you know how in life, you can not know something for 20 odd years, it causes you obscene pain and then suddenly it's like click and you make the tiniest difference and everything's all good? Same thing. Adam and his wife did something they shouldn't have and that gave them knowledge of good and evil and here we are. Earth is a perfectly harmonious place for the harmonious of intent and hell for those who seek hell. Open your eyes and ears. Are you bringer of heaven or bringer of hell, that's the question you should be asking. Don't worry about how Earth sucks, concentrate on how YOUR piece of earth sucks and rules and suck all the suck out of it. Look at the difference between people who desire the hereafter in quran and those who desire the life of this world. There is profound irony - those who desire the life of this world will continually regret their past and always plan for the future as if they're the overseers of their own lives. Whereas those who desire the hereafter are conditioned to live in the immediate now and leave all up to ALLAH.

ALLAH is independent of all those who claim to believe in him. Belief is a state, not a label. People are led to believe that as long as they say they follow this thing called "Islam" with a capital I, that they're going to enter heaven. These are the same people that believe that if you say certain things 33 or 32 times (depending on the hadith) that you'll get a free ticket to paradise. Ah, if only it were that easy. Your faith will wax and wane but remember this - the fact that YOU exist and that you are inseparable from this thing called "ALLAH" means that ALLAH exists, whether in our imaginations or in reality. In THE objective reality, there is ALLAH and he is lord of all things. In your imagination, for all we know, ALLAH could be some guy with a really long beard that says he'll strike you with his vengeful wrath. Don't trust your imagination all the time, trust the signs of the objective reality to guide you. If you are meant to believe then you will believe through hell or high water, even if you hang onto your belief by a thread of consciousness.

How did you get to such conclusion, can you please explain for us here? When Allah said "Hurrimat 'alaikum almaitatu..." 53 that means "Forbidden to you is that which is dead...". What and which dead are haraam? Dead goat, dead sheep, dead cow, dead camel, dead fish, dead prawns, what? Who died in accident by a vehicle, died by beating it with stick, died by falling from ceiling, which one is haraam? The aayat includes all, cause, the aayat was said without any condition. In same way, when Allah said "...Allah will protect you from the people..." in 567, it cover all areas, be it a murder or by poisoning or anything else. If it is illogical to say "prayers AND the middle prayer", what about "And when We made a covenant with the Prophets AND with you, AND with Nuh AND Ibrahim AND Musa AND Isa, son of Marium, and We made with them a strong covenant."? I was raised and confirmed catholic before i eventually reverted to submission to God alone. For me when I catholic/christian holiday comes up, God willing I'll be inspired to read Quran more. For instance, the past couple of christmases, I was inspired to read sura 19 'mary'. On a secular level, I also enjoy exchanging gifts with family and friends. Catholics celebrate lent, where they give something up they enjoy for forty days, so last year, i gave up facebook for that time period. It wasn't to show that I was catholic or that i want to show solidarity with catholics, but the forty days reminded me of noah and moses and the age mohammad was went he first received scripture. Most of my family are catholic, and although they know i'm no longer catholic, God willing they might understand that their holidays may inspire people of others religions reflect on how they know God.

Most people just flinch at the very thought of being unafraid about their own selves, when that is the very thing leading them into utter ruin in the end.

The simple solution is accept the ahadith which do no contradict the Qur'an. You will find that your fellow community-dwellers are not in the occupation of killing apostates and most probably you are not a doctor expected to carry out certain traditions (only then would you need to raise the argument). Sunni/Shia Islam are fine to dwell in provided you do not actually accept what they accept as religious law necessary for guidance. Following a few examples in the ahadith is ok. The prayer is ok but better not to mention Muhammad (SAW) during the actual salah and to do it in moderate tone always. Eating with right hand etc. is ok but beard-growing is the thing. If they want you to grow a beard then that gives you an excuse to push a part of your view some more (with moderation and reason). Good luck!

The early history of us is in the Quran - we have been around since Abraham's time. What is recent is the internet, and that is where the "movement" is happening right now. We are geographically separated, but not isolated. We have managed to find each other and communicate. This is a blessing, and a first step. Peace!

Be cause I don't accept that one root gives us such opposite meanings. I have found the understanding of this term to be consistent using a meaning of recording and preservation. Imraan
