6209 O You who believe! When called for the prayer (As salat) of/on the Day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if you did but know. 6210 Then when the prayer (As salat) is concluded, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful. 6211 But when they saw some merchandise or pastime they break away to it and leave You standing. Say That which Allah has is better than pastime and merchandise, and Allah is better (of)The Providers. These are very familiar verses among conventional Muslims and quran based Believers?.There are so many explanation based on these verses that the salat here is from Midday time? Yes.. beyond doubt this is the salat indicated by verses 2238 and 1778? 4103..For those who say that there is no Salat when the sun declines from it?s peak, let?s see how they deduce?(remember for them only TWO salat/24hrs day namely FAJR & ISHA? So these verse should be one of these two salats.. lets work out) Can this 629-11 be FAJR Salat? As per the context of the three verses? it seems that the trading and much more activities have been taking place when the moment of salat occurs? simply a long day in between an instruction is given to leave the business..Can this be before Fajr Salat? Even in today?s modern life Congregations won?t take place specially for trading (let?s take it as weekly trade fair)? Taking this salat as Fajr is far from certainty?God say Night is for you to sleep and rest and that?s nature and that?s what happening though people do change the nature.. but not successful.. Simply imagining that people were gathered well before fajr in the complete darkness to sell their harvests, etc.. that?s insane in the time of Mohamed? So.. simply it was not FAJR SALAT? Then, Can this 629-11 be ISHA Salat? Remember these verses first of all should suit to the people which were revealed to? whether it suits to later communities like us or not is irrelevant.. Coz trend of people change with the development of technology? Can we compare the trade mentioned here with online trade we deal 24/7? No? Do we really gather now on a given day mainly for trade and amusement? That has no such values? it may be happening in remote villages to bring their weekly harvests to a certain place where people used to gather to buy their weekly requirement? ? but for modern life it is faded off? weekly harvest wont take place overnight to sell it before fajr? that?s totally weird BUT, it was an imperative part and parcel of yester year people? That?s must ?. That?s the life style..so gathering of almost by everyone is much expected?that?s core of their life.. On a such Day when the time comes for Salat, leaving business and gathering to a certain place to perform the salat together (but individually) must have a real meaning for integrity? Coz the salat ISha and Fajr doesn?t seems such prayers according to quranic context of the verses.. even the Midday Prayer on days other than congregation day? God never even ordered perform salat in cluster ? but when people are around and gathered for any purpose it seems like making it together seems kind of hefty instruction? even 4103 Now let?s see 629-11 is Isha salat or not? God says to leave the business but after concluding the salat Disperse and seek the bounty of God?This is not actually a kind of instruction after ISHA salat?Remember Night is not at all encouraged by God to seek his bounty but night is for Sleep, Rest, to praise the Lord, recite quran etc, etc.. but never dealt with the word of amusement or business.. Modern people may do anything? that?s irrelevant .. coz first quran should match to the people it was revealed.. By 6211? it clearly indicates that though salat is concluded, business or amusement is not concluded at all? it was ongoing process? but they are heading towards it with the love in them.. It seems like they were performing salat and finished it and heading? but Probably (Mohamed) was still performing salat in standing (watharaku Kaaima)? coz salat is individual though they made it together? they can conclude when they want? 4103 If we take the salat ended was Isha then business and amusement should be in late night?. But These indications shows us that having late night business and late night amusement is not at all the trend of the yester year people? And even after the salat God instruct to disperse the land and seek the bounty which is totally contradictory statement when God says night is for other matter which was excluded for business and amusement.. ? ?. haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if you did but know.? There is no such statement by God to any Salat? That?s better for you if you, but know, has a real meaning? This is salat has much extended time but still God says when it is called for salat hasten only on the day of congregation?while clearly for three salat times are given and you can perform it within those periods before it is over?but saying to hasten only on the day of congregation must have a real value? ? First of all Salat is a new addition to the life of those Arabs ? ? It may give them a knowledge how Mohamed and others performing it ? Integrity and unity? ? Get to know of people who are Muslims while they are among them performing salat? ? Knowing who is muslim and who is not is very key for the life style of then? Many wars took place? so knowing muslims and their strength ? Coz on a gathered day almost all are there?.can easily identify who is Muslim/Munafiq / Kafir?.that?s a kind of support for the hearts of the very minority of Muslims who were raising a huge community? ? There could be many more reasons?. Anyone can produce such reasons? Can there be only TWO SALAT God ordered in Quran? For me and in my total understanding of quran? NO chance.. Simply question to those who say only TWO Salat is what is the salat mentioned in 629-11? is it Fajr or Isha... ;D

Salaam Sarah 4251 and it is not for a human that Allah talk to him except for 1- through wahi or 2- from behind a curtain or 3- through messengers who inspire with His permission. So Allah has sent His message through His messenger which is preserved in Quran. The first addressee in Quran is the messenger who conveyed the message to the mankind.

This is a reply to Question 19. "19. How many mothers does a Muslim have? Only one , or two , or at least ten ?" (423) " " (336) " " (582) " " Answer Since verses 423 and 336 do not give a specific number, there could not be a contradiction between these two verses. It is only when verse 582 is considered that some perceive a contradiction. My reply has 2 parts To show that there is no contradiction between 582 and 423 To show that there is no contradiction between 582 and 336 Part 1 Verse 582 implies that a person only has 1 mother ? the one who gave birth to them. But it would be a mistake to assume that verse 423 implies that a person has 2 mothers, and here is why There is a difference between ?? (your ?mothers?) and ? ? (your ?mothers-who-breastfed-you?). According to the Quran, if a baby was breasted by a different woman, that woman bears the title ?breastfeeding-mother?. This does not mean that the baby now has 2 mothers. He still only has 1 mother (by definition the one who gave birth to him). The second woman simply has the word ?mother? in her title out of respect (because the title ?breastfeeding-mother? is more respectful and dearer to the heart than simply calling her ?breastfeeding-woman?). To better understand what I mean, consider the various titles that we use in our modern world. For instance, ?grand-mother?. Although this title contains the word ?mother,? we all know that ?mother? and ?grand-mother? mean different things. If a person has a mother and a grand-mother, that doesn?t mean that they have 2 mothers. They still only have 1 true mother the one who gave birth to them. Another example is ?mother-in-law.? Again, this is a title that contains the word ?mother.? So, if a person has a ?mother? and a ?mother-in-law,? they still only have 1 mother. The ?mother-in-law? is simply a title of respect and does not hold the same meaning as ?mother.? And so, using a similar reasoning, it is easy to see that verse 423 does not imply that a person has 2 mothers. Therefore, there is no contradiction between 423 and 582. Part 2 The confusion here only arises if a person is not familiar with Arabic. In Arabic, the word ?? (often translated as ?mother?) actually has many different meanings depending on which context it is used. In the context of family, the word ?? means mother. Ex ? ? (meaning the child?s mother). In the context of a book, the word ?? means introduction. Ex ? ? (meaning the book?s introduction). In the context of anatomy, the word ?? means brain. Ex ? ? (&#1594 (meaning the head?s brain). In the context of the military, the word ?? refers to a flag held at the forefront of the troops. In some other contexts, the word ?? means prominent/eminent/leading/notable/foremost. Ex1 ? ? ( &#1577 (the leading newspapers). Note that ?? is simply the plural form of ??. Ex2 The city of Mecca is sometimes called ? ? (the notable city). Etc. There are still a few more meanings, but I think you got the picture by now. The point is, many words in Arabic behave like this ? their meaning changes depending on the context in which they are used. So, the context is key. When you read in Arabic, it is not enough to know 1 meaning for a word. It is important to be aware that some words have different meanings in different contexts. Verse 582 is talking about a husband-wife relationship. So, the context here is family. The verse denounces a silly tradition that some Arabs used to have. (If a husband had a major disagreement with his wife, he would ? ? which is an expression that means that he would ?treat her like his mother?. So, for instance, he would no longer have any intimate or romantic relationship with her. It?s a silly practice and verse 582 condemns it). Since the context here is family, the meaning of the word ?? is ?their mothers?. And the Quran tells these men that their wives are not their mothers, and that their mothers are only the ones who gave birth to them. In other words, a person only has 1 mother ? the one who gave birth to them. However, verse 336 does not talk about some family dynamics, but rather an entire society the Muslim nation of that time. Therefore, the context here is different. Since it?s not about family, it is actually a mistake to translate ?? as ?their mothers?. Rather, based on the context of verse 336, ?? must mean ?eminent/foremost among them.? And to better understand what this means, consider a modern example in the United States, the president?s wife is called ?the First Lady.? Again, this is simply an honorary title. And since Muhammad was the leader of the Muslim nation at that time, his wives bore the honorary title of ??, which, again, does not mean ?mothers? but ?eminent/foremost?. So, verse 336 does not in fact talk about mothers. Therefore, there is no contradiction between 336 and 582.

Salam! The whole Quran talks about Allah who is one/only/alone/unique. He does not have a female companion (6101) nor he has any parents or sons. Still He has gifted us many relations in this world _ 025054 It is He Who has created man from water then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage for thy Lord has power (over all things). 025054 And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. So, if you have blood ties and/or marital relationships then you are not alone at all. However, when you are lonely or feel lonliness, remember your God much because 013028 "... for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction." Peace!

Peace Kaltun... There is nothing wrong what they use the phrase to the baby or beautiful... but you got it bit complicated, but Novice and NW explained right... Ma Sha Allah is like As God Wished / what God wished... like a phrase ... Used for things that is already happened with the wish of God... mainly used for good things in culture but can be used for something which is not pleasant as well in case if it happened But In Sha Allah is IF Allah Wished... big difference... it is i think for the future... but we don't know whether it happens or not But In Yasha Allah.. IF Allah will/wish... it is like with expectation.... that's what i understand..... take it easy... use God will in English... laugh Slm jkhan, thx for your input also and Ma Shaa Allah ===> what Allah made / what Allah has wished / what Allah wanted use God will in English... )

'The animal offerings are among the rites decreed for you by God.' 2236 There is no Arabic word for "offering" or "rites" in 2236 'Neither their meat, nor their blood reaches God. What reaches Him is your reverence.' 2237 Taqwa does not mean "reverence". It means to save yourself from trouble by following God's commands. God bless you.

peace GL, thanks for your reply, its very useful. purpose is to find a solution. and here we are, thats the only reality. why we are here? and all those questions related with ?why? always b there? so equation is here again we are here so we need to understand if we are here we are here due to a reason. everybody/everything is here due to a REASON as brother cerberus said. everybody have their reasons they start understanding it as they grow older in life. life without reason become a REAL hell. @ cerberus i tend to agree with you what u said this REASON thing is beautiful thing to ponder and give us what a human want. upon aksing these questions i also have similar type of answers like let say PAIN we see PAIN as pain when we see wild life how a tiger hunt deer. we need to see deer is serving a purpose to feed hungry cubs of tiger. and what if that deer requested God to take a purpose from her. our situation is something different. we have builtin with a thing thats dangerous like fire. its our self telling us we are here. at the same time the self is quite selfish too u see the start of us we comptete our five million brothers to coming here. its a struggle and logically more the struggle more sweeter the reward. somehwere in quran ? we have provided you but a little knowledge? ? we have created human being in struggle? although this cigratte example i understand what u trying to say but just wana add in it tobacco is creation of God and due to this creation millions of people are earning their money. it exist as well as other things like TEA human discoverd it with mysterious coincidencial way. tea leaves accidently fell in to hot water and someone tasted it and thats how TEA is in us having a large industry. people who dnt smoke they get cancer too they get died too. so i say its our ? own take ? for understanding whats good for us. example sugar is good for you not for diabities patient.

@ IK I think you got both complicated.... The former should be forbidden or prohibited and the later should be restricted.... Simply saying hajar = forbid / prohibit,........ Haram = restrict... Take the help of verses 2553 abd 2522 ...those are perfect choices.. Unless you not take me as personal you won't get it... God guide us... i dunt know what to do with you. seems have to spoonfeed you at every post.next time take ur time understanding whats going on. member was looking for arabic synonym not english synonym.moreover look all translations everybody used both synonyms. i just updated his knowledge. after he said he didnot find any synonym for the adressed term. so result here is simple some people are careless in their findings some are proper honest and careful. careless research shows shape of earth is flat ( for example) lol

I looked at that site and not only does it look like it was made by a 3 year old lol ~ but all the questions are ambiguous and irrelevant and stem from ignorant assumptions. For example, he says that 5116 represents Christians as worshiping Mary and even admits that pagan Arabs worshiped an idol of Mary, yet 5116 doesn't say Christians, it says people. And its simply God questioning Jesus about that because people did worship them instead of God, including Christians. And they still do! What's even funnier is that whoever made that video and website (with an arrogant intent to mock) wasted alot of time doing so only to be humiliated and dragged into hell on the Day of Judgement, God willing. So just forget about it and stop giving them views unless its to click dislike. We're not obligated to respond to misguided idiots except to warn them of the possible consequences of their rejection. Which isn't the same as someone who's sincerely and humbly looking for answers or if there's an audience who could benefit. In the name of God, the All-Mighty, the Merciful 37 He is the One who sent down to you the Book, from which there are lawgiving revelations; they are the essence of the Book; and others which are of a similatude. As for those who have a disease in their hearts, they will follow that which is of a similatude, seeking to confuse, and seeking to derive an interpretation. But none know its interpretation except God, and those who are well founded in knowledge; they say "We believe in it, all is from our Lord." And none will remember except those who possess intelligence. 488 What is the matter with you that you are divided into two groups over the hypocrites, while God has regressed them for what they have earned? Do you want to guide those whom God misguides? Whoever God causes to be misguided, you will never find for him a path. 2855 And if they come across vain talk, they disregard it and say "To us are our deeds, and to you are your deeds. Peace be upon you. We do not seek the ignorant." 5152 Likewise, when a messenger went to those before them, they said "A magician, or crazy." 5153 Have they passed down this saying to each other? Indeed, they are a wicked people. 5154 So turn away from them; you will not be blamed. 10108 Say "O people, the truth has come to you from your Lord, so whoever is guided is being guided for himself, and whoever is misguided will remain so, and I am not a caretaker over you." 2272 You are not responsible for their guidance, but it is God who will guide whoever He wishes. And whatever you spend out of goodness is for your own souls. And anything you spend should be in seeking the face of God. And whatever you spend out of goodness will be returned to you, and you will not be wronged.

You seem fine to me and I hope you give justice to what you read everywhere by investigating the information properly. Of course I want from me what I want from you and others. I am challenging myself to be good, do good and become peaceful towards all GOD s creations. An ongoing hard task! It really comes down to what you genuinely want to seek. God is the Ultimate Good and no one shall worry about their death knowing they've been pursuing the Ultimate Good throughout their life. This is what should drive "believers". You were brought to life to live for a short amount of time and then you will leave your body and your belongings to decompose to the earth. It's up to you to decide of your ultimate goal in this brief moment in this world. "The weakest home is the home of the spider" and you are the spider. You will naturally love life, and grow attached to the beauty of things around you. You will naturally think about yourself first before others, seek your own advantage over others, try to be better than others. You will naturally want to stack up money and own as much as you can. You will naturally want to belong in a pack and have a shepherd lead you to the barn. etc. etc. But in summary "The life of this world is but a deceiving enjoyment" So you, not really you, but rather your body is engineered to grow attached to this life, and seek this and that. Your mind/spirit isn't. And that's what you need to seek. Find that part of you that is your Mind, separate your Mindful judgement from your Body's wishes, and then exercise Mindful action. You will need self knowledge, so question everything that goes through your head, where does it come from ? what does it lead to ? Be as much awake to what's going on inside you as someone traveling in the night on a dangerous road. People will tell you that isolation is dangerous, and it is indeed, because most people do things for the sake of not being judged, and in lack of any external judgement one can take a dark path pretty easily. But in your isolation you will see your true self free of any acting. So in your isolation you should learn about yourself. God will make manifest to you your hypocrisy. You can imagine that an invisible being is looking at you when no one else is, OR, don't be a hypocrite and instead be honest and truthful in action and thinking, publicly and privately. Hence why the exercise of virtue is what brings you closer to God more than anything else. I would advice you to seek philosophy, it will awaken your mind when religion puts it to sleep and will make you ask relevant questions about YOURSELF more than anything else. I suggest Stoic philosophy for a starter, with Marcus Aurelius.

3000 years ago, the Hebrews were surely not different from most other people at that time and still today in some developing countries, and probably practiced a fierce code of honor where protecting the bloodline was of utmost importance. Protecting the bloodline meant that the honor of the family lied "between the legs" of the women. Therefore, women caught in extra-marital sex or alleged extra-marital sex were killed, possibly by stoning. Occasionally, men could also be killed. Premarital sex was just a particular case of extra-marital sex. There is singular difference between men and women especially regarding premarital sex women can become pregnant and this witnesses extra-marital sex, even without witnessing the sexual intercourse itself. As evidenced by archeology, the Hebrews, before the Exile in Babylon, worshiped a god of storm called yahweh, and whose wife was goddess ashera. Other deities were also worshiped. After return from Exile, the sages of Israel wanted to protect Israel identity by establishing monotheism. This monotheism was probably inspired by zoroastrism of Persia and Cyrus and Darius. This is because usually a tutelary deity protects the city or the state through an Alliance, in which the people must perform some rituals or follow some laws. When the people turn away from these rituals or laws, the deity removes its protection. That's how the Sages of Israel explained the Exile in the Bible. In order to convince the people to worship exclusively the tutelary deity of Israel, i.e. yahweh, the Sages and the Prophets have used a metaphor. Alliance with God is like marriage, and idolatry is like extra-marital sex. As extra-marital sex is an extremely serious matter, so is idolatry, they taught. So in short, when in the Bible, premarital sex or extra-marital sex is forbidden, this is a metaphor to forbid idolatry. But for the Sages and the Prophets the fierce code of honor of their people still held, otherwise the metaphor was senseless. Centuries later, the key understanding of the metaphor was lost, therefore Theologians were left with two prohibitions in sacred books extra-marital sex and idolatry. That's why in the Gospels and in Qur'an both prohibitions still hold, and in Qur'an they stand almost on the same foot. Interesting info Anourshirvan. Although what you've said basically implies that the Quran is not the divine word of God but is just a result of human development throughout history. Not arguing with you, just an observation.
