Spiritual harmony be upon you, Optimal Unity, I think you greatly misinterpret my words seeing your reactions. But you forget I speak not on a sect's behalf but I speak for God. Well of course there is no need to compromise seeing that everything is Islam, i.e. faith/confidence/wholeness (to God). Cooperate when the goal for everyone no matter "label" is to 'be thereof one in God/Allah'? People who call themselves Muslim just refer to themselves as "believers" or rather ones with faith as the word might suggest. Jews, by word, consider themselves guided and thus helpers, if even one of them still know why they are called that. This was because the 'Children of Israel' was to safeguard the Ark of the Covenant and act as the likes, but as you have seen through history the events have shown that they have not really kept their duties. The conjecture is what causes the differences between the sects or otherwise they would simply have the same foundation, because as I said, the prophets did not have any different teaching. If they taught something else then they would have been a false prophet. The solution is to erase the sectarian belonging and label altogether instead of some kind of compromise. I would gladly let people who indulge in rituals continue if they so stubbornly insist, but not would I compromise in saying that it is what God says lest I would lie. No prophet sent by God would take a group identity but would always refer to being one in God and the realm and by spirit thereof. If a prophet or messenger came now they would not call themselves Muslim either except by explaining what the word actually stands for. The Biblical scriptures are mainly lies to a big extent although a bit may be true. There were prophesies made by prophets in there, but the interpretation just like Quran is way off. Predicting the future is prophesying, but people generally do not know what a person who prophecies actually can do. A prophet can in the spirit of God prophecy events absorbed in God that will come true and be thus done from the prophet's will. Someone being of God can, believe it or not, make things come true through faith alone. Jesus tried hard to make people realize this. He said anyone could be like him. The problem is that very few have the personal capability to reach there. Not sure if the Astrology part made you annoyed, but that would in that case be a mysticism phenomenon similar to the code 19. May be true, but has little relevance except give some people faith if they need it. I have noticed that I am tending to find myself unintentionally acting very alike the Zodiacal sign I am, i.e. Taurus, but for the decree and what it teaches it makes no difference. All prophets would be calling out for unity and would call for people to treat everyone with respect, kinsman or stranger alike. Just look at what Jesus says in the Bible; "if you only look towards your own kin what difference does it make?" A primary lesson is to kill that ego of oneself and get soaked up in God and the realm and live as "We" and not "I". Why do you think Quran often phrases it as "We" for no (other) apparent reason? Be of one with God Peace be with you, I guess my motivation is how do we fix this mess? May Allah guide you...

Did you read the original stuffs Adam Smith said about capitalism? They are actually very eerie. Wolves have a habit of wearing sheep's clothing. You are right when you said that invisible hand is metaphoric. However, that wolf Adam Smith's capitalsim formula was made mainly for the elite society. Target was to make the rich richer. He prescribed the idea of government intervention/security mainly for elite class. The point, according to him is that when the rich will get richer the poor will envy and even try to loot. Bad intention is found within both capitalism and socialism. I wouldn't try to connect invisible hand with God. Capitalism with the concept of free hand is impossible to run because businesses always know how to game the market.

The perception that God must be pleased by a lot of ritualistic behavior has its roots in human ideas of what is God and the "object God" comes forth in their perception while God in fact is an abstract entity which can impossibly be personified as a standard character and since That God is omnipresent, available at all locales, then also common rituals lose their meaning. Earlier people may have known this but then their imagination turned them into using something such as "Kabah", an innocent building, as so-called qiblah or focal point (which the word does not translate into), so that God becomes an image of something so they can materialistically worship something just like their gods of old which they put into stone statues or whatever. People do something just like what father Abraham was so much against during his life and then also defend it that this man was praying for rituals (!) or other invented nonsense. Talk about "shirk" while the man never even uttered a thing like that. Salamun Alaikum. I have some comments on the above. Instead of diverting too much from the original topic in this thread, I have started a new thread here http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9606914.msg357650#msg357650 Best regards, Arman

We are, unfortunately, caught in the line of fire when "Islamophobes" are looking for a scapegoat- at that point any Muslim of any stripe will do. I run across the kind all the time in reading the comments on news stories (Yahoo! News is notorious for the amount of hateful people who comment), and every time I see X or Y being said about Muslims or Islam in general. They'll go on an on about how evil we are based on something someone did sometime or whip out a cherry-picked sura or hadith to prove this or that. My solution to it is to call them out- they want to provide a cherry-picked sura from the Qur'an, that's fine, but provide exactly where they got it and the context it was given in. Give me a hadith number and whose book it came from. In almost every case, they won't do it so I provide the entire sura and the surrounding context so that others who read will see the original commenter is woefully unprepared. I'll also go to lengths to explain there are differences within the Islamic community, and- just like Jews and Christians- we have our differences in how we practice the faith. I explain about the hadiths and how they are almost always twisted and are completely unreliable in any case. I will also put out an appeal to everyone who reads my response to go to the Qur'an for themselves and read it with their own eyes so they'll know what it says about any given item. I tell them to stick to the Qur'an and don't even try to make sense of the hadiths, even though that's what most Muslims profess to follow to some degree. We cannot stamp out Islamophobia in one giant hammer blow, but we can each do our part to chip away at it and when confronted with false or out-of-context 'proofs' call then out on them and correct them and point out that we are all not cut from the same cloth. The best proof of that is our own example- don't get dragged down in flame wars online, and if it's in person be respectful but firm.

May you be spiritually whole, They likely had more humor and less seriousness than what the sects portray about the prophets. Sister huruf gave one good example of ironical humor. I find that the scene were Abraham watches the sky and "tries" to find what is "God" is a kind of humor. Apart from what is in the narration, lots of moments of the lives of the prophets is not narrated in the recorded scripture called Quran. They most likely joked a lot in their lives. One can understand that they had many different personalities and hence also joked in different ways. Be of one with God

I agree with Sony. I first heard it from Icke and I just think just like Alex Jones, he is an agent. Otherwise, he would have been dead long time ago. Doesn't matter who you agree with. The question is, have you been looking deep enough within yourself?! Peace, R.

May you be so spiritually whole, One can be a good person simply by adhering to and living by the simply list of commandments revealed to Moses and this covenant taken back then. The Torah/instruction, possibly keeping in mind what Jesus taught a while after that about the commandments being the least thing one should do. For example; "Moses told you not to commit adultery, but I say to you that the only one who looks upon another woman with desire other than his own has already commited adultery in his mind". He did not invent more rules, but he arose awareness that what God revealed to Moses is open to flexibility and it is the underlying intention of being of good behavior and deed that counts. The tablets on which the decree was revealed on was also a distinction between good and bad. The whole point in the faith is the distinction between good and bad, and to tread in the Light. Commands are very simple and for the right person it is not hard to live in the light as long as they do something about that ego. The ultimate person could even live without scripture as long as they keep their ego in check mate. It is no a secret that people like Abraham or Noah had no scriptures to rely on. Quran is more a resum? than something new. Be of one with God

reel, I know all about the matrix and probably much before you were born, and I know all your sources and catechisms, so please don't parade your cleverness and assume that everybody who does not agree with you is an idiot. Its not cleverness, but awareness. Looks like everyone got it except you and that's what we were pointing out. Question If you know so much why are you defending today's feminism? The fact is that there are a bunch of ideologues that take some truths and shake them well with the usual womanhood hate crap and sell that as something revolutionnary and shockingly "revealing". Last time I saw feminists hating women. Headline Jane Caro compares housewives to prostitutes on ABC?s Q&A program source http//www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/jane-caro-compares-housewives-to-prostitutes-on-abcs-qa-program/story-e6frfmyi-1227044623648 Headline I was ambushed by the Twitterati feminists who in actual fact HATE women source http//www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2480538/I-ambushed-Twitterati-feminists-actual-fact-HATE-women.html You are first a believer in that mixture and only much after comes the Qur'an if at all. You have yet not defended anything at all based on the qur'an instead of on the antifeminine crap. I thought the thread was not mainly about Quran, but discussion on the society. Let me still say that I can't find any verse in Quran mentioning divide and rule. In fact, it says "The believing men and believing women are allies of one another" 971. If I push my ego on men I don't think I will help the woman race. Sound psychological changes come in humans through cooperation and not division. At any rate about those poor boys condemned to pay alimony, no, sorry, support for their children, the mothers of those chidlren must by now possess big properties in the Riviera or Florida or Tahiti with all that child support, the way to become rich in no time, much much better than prostitution, aren't they evil. Actually yes, thats why, our single mom tenant drove Acura. She also had a house, but the only reason she rented was because it was paid by the government. We have almost 40 to 47% kids born out of wedlock every year. That your country is going down the drain like so many countries of course it the fault of femnism, that is women, bad women, whereas good women are like you, perfect. It is the bad women who follow the devil, who let themselves be temppted by the serpent who9 are to blame for everything. One should not listen to women becaus they do not have a mind capable of sound reasoning. Only the Virgin is to be trusted who by her virginity vanquished the serpent, waw... I wonder why you are ignoring my statement I am making on and on about single moms' children and girls being pressured to have sex. It looks like you do support the rape. How do you explain this message from feminists? http//media.nbcphiladelphia.com/images/620*393/Melbourne2.jpg http//static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2011/5/9/1304965175650/Slutwalk-007.jpg Congratulations the matrix-cum-sinner Eve has really managed to teach you all, even about Spain. My! you do cover ground. You are right, do not let the Qur'an interfere with any of that. And you are right, there are good reasons to lame women for anything, There are big treaties onn that from every age of humanity, must be true. I am not Christian and I don't believe in christian version of Eve. Matrix cum sinner is fictional Lilith aka Laila. About Spain, I already provided the ppt of it above and I am quite used to Spanish music videos which tend to be far more open than American music videos in terms of sexual objectification of women. You are right, do not let the Qur'an interfere with any of that. And you are right, there are good reasons to lame women for anything, There are big treaties onn that from every age of humanity, must be true. Sorry, despite the fact that West somehow is always using Quran laws, I cannot tell the countries upfront that they must adhere to all the verses because they are not Muslim. Only in Islamic countries where the women are having trouble can be shown the way. Unfortunately, I am not living in any of them. The only thing I can do is help the women here in US see and accept the truth. Western feminists only criticize the harsh conditions of women of those countries. They are not doing anything to help them. I guess this one piece sums up everything. http//38.media.tumblr.com/cb84c8a74452110776b8accb3ffe3333/tumblr_nc4vz4Nb5X1syitgfo1_500.png

Coffee has a stimulating effect; may depend on person, but a sensation of improved mood and drive is the usual center of effect. However; it is a myth that it helps one "wake up" or stay awake, although the stimulating effect in conjunction with increased activity due to it may cause difficulty falling asleep at night. Personally I have paradoxically felt that without increased activity it is actually easier to fall asleep afterwards, perhaps due to the drug's stimulating effect on the brain. An orange or some sweet fruit is better for the purpose of waking up. It may cause a downer side effect afterwards just like any other drug. And abstinence causes headache. It is wise to drink moderately and not too often, especially if someone has difficulty controlling drinking just as with alcohol. Be of one with God

AS take it that the Prophet at some time did have some civil authority and the amdministration of the accounts or moneys, so he is there mentionned as an administrator to spend or distribute with equity the contributions of the people for the general welfare. Salaam

good reply. How do you consider Quranists, are they not a new sect? Salamun Alaikum. Per my humble understanding a "sect" is a group of people who subscibe to a set of beliefs and practices and consideres every other group that does not subscribe to their beliefs and practices as wrong. For example, if someone belongs to an atheist club - which views everyone who is not atheist as wrong - that club can be called a sect. There are certain people who call themselves "Quaranist" and promote the blief that anyone who doesn't subscribe to a belief system or practices sanctioned by "Qur'an alone" - are worng. This group, per above definition, is a sect. May Allah guide us all to the straight route. Regards, Arman

There are many common everyday consumables that could easily replace drugs. And a healthy living and care-taking of one's body can make drugs unneeded. Diseases, many of them, come for various reasons due to unhealthy living, and also not judging with God's decree may cause stress-related generated diseases. If still diseases come to us then I suppose it is wisest to take as little drugs as possible to cure the ailment, and if there is a cause due to health deficiencies then the person ought to take a look on that. Mere faith also helps. ditto! And yes, natural honey has powerful antioxidants and healing properties and unlike antibiotics, does not wipe out the beneficial bacteria - essential part of the gut flora - rather adds to it. Antibiotics are disastrous and should only be used very sparingly, in severe cases. Honey is not exactly an alternative, but over the long term, a far superior healing substance.
