I haven't read it, but from the website it seems the author is familiar with my articles on "salat" My article, quote Familiarity? That looks like a full copy and paste job to me. Here's his e-mail address if you have anything you'd like to ask or discuss with him [email protected] I got this e-mail address from his other website Islam of Allah Somebody from the ourbeacon forum claimed that the author is Aidid Safar under yet another pseudo name, but he provided zero proof to back up that statement. I seriously doubt that it is Aidid. Aidid's name is already both famous and infamous (depending on which side of the fence a person is on concerninh him) so why would he craft another pseudo name when the name he is already using carries enough weight and popluarity? He already has a dedicated following and using another name would mean losing that following in search of a new (and probably different) target market. One last thing; as far as I know there is no free download of this book which let's me know that it isn't Aidid. This isn't his way of spreading his message. Even if the book is for sale, he will still have a free download option available on his website just like how he had it for Arab Conspiracies, Hijacking of Islam and now Mental Bondage.

A couple posters have mentioned eating organic and the like as they feel like it fits the spirit of what Allah wants. It kind of depresses me but I want to do my best so that's the direction I have moved. I still plan on eating all seafood, eggs, and diary. So far I have stopped eating cow for the most part. I also try to eat organic and cruelty free when I can.

Peace Confused, Thanks for responding, but I am not sure what the significance of the word Khizy is in these ayat. Could you please clarify? In all the occurences of the word "khizy" in the great reading, it is the god that does the action and not people. There is no imperitive verb used ordering people to do anything. Peace Andantino, Yes, Jonah is yunus (Sura 10, Jonah (Younus) and Zal-Kifl by many is believed to be Ezekiel Also, Ismail, Idr?s, Zal-Kifl; all were steadfast, patient. Remember Ismail, Elisha, and Zal-Kifl; among the most righteous. There's another 'hint' provided by Genesis and Quran which might able to serve as a 'clue' to indicate which 'species' (or remains) is under AMH / Adam progeny or not (or hasn't yet). I don't see any need to diminish Torah or the New Testament at all. There is harmony between them and the Qur'an so far as I can see. In fact, some of what you quote below gives further evidence that the Qur'an explicitly supports my manner of understanding things. The full context here is a chastening from Allah. It was according to His will that people should understand these things. He intended for them to but because of their own failings they failed to. This is why he graciously forgave and why in verse 5 He said "Surely We will make to light upon you a weighty Word." The fact that Allah forgave them for not knowing means that in due time He would go ahead and bring that understanding when it became immediately relevant to do so. Hi Everyone, Jafar... I agree with most of what you say. Rabbinic Judaism doesn't accept Jesus nor Muhammed. However since the fall of the Temple in 60CE Rabbinic Judaism is pretty much all that is left. Yes there are a few groups here or there that are not Rabbinically based. But they are very few and very limited. I don't believe the Quran was written for Jews. I believe it was written for everyone. Just like I think the Torah was written for everyone. I think many Jews today can't get past the media hype against Islam. Otherwise I would imagine they would get along fine with muslims. They are essentially the same religion. Minor difference that people seem to amplify. They take a small crack and turn it into a canyon. Andantino... Go see Jewfaq.org. That is a good resource to understand a lot of the Jewish point of view. Remember not ALL Jews feel this way. But it is a starting point. Trinity in Torah... No way. The main prayer in Judaism is the "Shema" which is basically... "Hear O'Israel Adonai is your G-d, Adonai is One". The unity of G-d is imperative. Same as Islam. I have issues with the Torah and NT. As intoxicants which would cover drugs and alcohol is generally considered forbidden, what is the stance on narcotic painkillers? I use a narcotic pain killer which was prescribed by doctor for chronic tension headaches. What is your view and (if you are aware of such a judgement) what is the "traditional" view? And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess ." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses that you might give thought. 2219 According to the 2;219 there is benefit in intoxicants in a moderation. All the intoxicants effects human body and brain, for example the morphine/methodene normally prescribed for cancer patience to ease their pain. But if a normal person start taking these drugs it will dis balance its brain and harm the body. Peace

Yes Jewish dude. Please do share your experience if you go. Checked out the site. Better than locking the women up in the basement like they do at my local Sunni mosque (I'm exaggerating. They don't really lock them up... For too long). But a little TOO progressive for my liking. I don't think I'd feel comfortable and could easily be distracted if there's a woman next to me while I'm doing Salat. The smell of her perfume, shoulders touching, etc. We humans are genetically programmed to be aroused by smell, touch and visuals from an attractive member of the opposite sex. God made us that way. And women in front of men? Not saying this in a sexist way but think about it... There's an attractive girl in front of you, prostrating, bending over with her hands on her knees. How comfortable a situation is this for the men or the women? Salat should be between the individual and God. Eliminate as many possible distractions as you can. That's my opinion. The Submitter mosque I've been going to for the past 5 months has a healthy balance. Men and women pray in the same room but the men are in the front rows, women in the back. There is no Hijab or head cover required for women. After the prayer and during Quran studies, there is no segregation. Men and women eat and sit together and act like normal human beings. I think this is a normal set up without going to extremes on either side. Good point. I think that prayers as you said is not a place for distraction. But I think this will come by experience. We still have not really practiced any of the stuff we said. In time we will be able to figure things out.

Hi, It is me again. I should admit that I know nothing about arabic. But I'd like to share my opinion on 17. The word "An'Amta" should be translated as joy, not blessing. I dont know what you mean by blessing but I think it is better if you translated as joy. Why? Because God way is joy. If you read Tanakh and a few of the quran, it is written that God's way is joy. That translation also give us understanding and motive for our life to search for joy that pleased by God. God told us to marry, is not it a joy. It is different if our motive to have intercourse just for lust, it would hurt somebody. Most of the prophet is a rich man, we can see Dawud, Sulayman, and also our father Ibrahim. Most of them even had more than 1 wives. I dont say we had to have more than 1 wives, but as a man, dont you also think having a lot of girls is a joy? What about war is you ask, did not God told us to war when we are offended. Did not it is not a joy. Yes of course. But sitting duck when we are offended is much worse than not fight back. By fight back and win, we can earn joy. Not waiting for our slaugther. Well, I know my opinion is flawed, and maybe look ridicoulous. But on my mind, Gods way is joy. No, not one bit. We are talking about a god feeding people and providing for them and this is s story of a man losing his son and the reaction to that. I asked 3 questions which interest me. Well, 3 and a half actually. So what does a story about the death of a son have to do with it? Regarding your 3 questions about why god and not nature. Nature is an unconscious matter that can't manage or make any decision whatsoever. also humans and all other creations don't have any power to manage its own evolution through time. Now if we speak logic then we got 2 wrongs and which is the nature that don't got the ability to think and the creation that got no power to fix it's own evolution through time. 2 wrongs never gives right as an outcome in logic. Now which make sense to you when compared to a super entity that gots power over everything which created the unconscious nature and the living creations and manage and control everything in our universe. Of course it is up to you whether you want to believe what i had believed,but for me i found case 2 to be the wise choice and case 1 to be nonsense if not even stupid one.
