My question is...how can we learn in peace to respect the religion of our brothers and sisters, muslim, jew, hindu, christian... God is one, so we should be as one too. The creator created the universe with opposite polarity, the IS and the IS NOT. In order for "peace" to exist and recognizable then it's opposite "not peace" must also exist. The existence of "not peace" makes one recognize peace and then desire peace. Thus answering your question of "how can we learn peace" can be approached by understanding and learning it's opposite, not peace. The cause of "not peace" has been highlighted by your depiction above, namely "we want to have power for our own, or money, or whatever" Thus how to obtain peace can also be determined by inversing the cause above. I am a 42 years old Successful Software Entrepreneur, Alhamdulilah. I have been gifted with an analytical brain as well as a believing heart. However, I believe both knowledge and belief are like Yin/Yang. One dies off without the other. Not until we marry both Knowledge and Action, Humility and Confidence, Fear and Hope, Truth and Love, Religion and Science, Ritual and Spiritual, Happiness and Patience, Belief and Inquiry - we can't become both holy and whole at the same time. I think, most of the the problems of Muslims stem from outdated translations, exegesises and interpretations. Think about it, the first translation of Quran in English by a Muslim was done in 1910. After that we see some translations of Quran which carry a similar theme and without much creative dismantling of the message of God. Translations or Exegesises of Quran are currently more like words of popular people, which you either accept or reject. When was Truth about popular opinion of People or labels? Shouldn’t truth be a free inquiry? Should we fear God alone or the popular view among Muslims? What I don’t like about the state of affairs of Muslims is our reliance on Schools of Thoughts than our own Self-Knowledge and original Sources of Islam. Especially now, when a lot of Science we’ve discovered and a lot of knowledge we have gained, the text in Quran translations remain the same, ambiguous, unfulfilling or unapproachable for the most part. But nothing is lost! I am trying to bring together people who can work with me on this great cause and do it with me. My idea is to create a wiki/open-source one translation and exegesis of Quran that is open with debate format for skeptics, believers, philosophers, theologians, epistemologists, psychologists, economists, legalists, and scientists. Everyone has a say, the only thing is he/she has to prove why his/her translation is more accurate/updated/legit/simple/clear/scientific/true. And this way, the work on Quran is also never closed but remains open for all and is continuous. Shouldn’t this be the case from the day one? I mean, Quran is not like a Harry Potter novel, which if once translated by someone, should become stale, unchallenged and uncreative with repetitive thoughts and hopeless attitudes. Quran is not a work of fiction. It is a book of Wisdom, Guidance, Lessons, Science, Miracles, Realizations and so many meaningful things. A single human is beyond the capacity to translate it accurately. We all have to put our efforts now that we're in 2022. So if you're with me on this cause, lets join hands together and form a body that helps us in our mission. How the words 'Ardhi Mislahunna' have been mistranslated to mean Seven Earths even when the word 'Ardhi' is singular. It actually means 'Earth is just like Planets'. How 6 periods for Universe creation and 2 periods for Earth creation are accurate to the ratio of 4.54 billion years (Earth's age) / 13.8 billion years (Universe's age) matching perfectly with Quranic ratio of 2/6. How the 4 periods for the age of 'Plate Tectonics', loosely translated as Mountain is 9 billion years. How the other bodies of Solar System are 2 periods as well, meaning 4.5 to 4.6 billion years. How the Cosmological accounts of Muslims in the past is wrong to mean Big Bang and how it is actually Solar System Creation story. How Evolution is true, even the Adamic Evolution and how it doesn't disrupt the general understanding of God creating Adam's Soul in Heaven. They are created in the manner of vertically layered one above another in harmony/adjoining one above another. A rhetorical question is a question used for dramatic effect, getting the point across, and is not intended to be answered by the audience the question was directed. Welcome to the forum. Islam has nothing to do with the religions that are about including traditional Islam. Islam is with GOD not from GOD. This in itself indicate that everything created by GOD has to obey GOD s system and laws and we also obey whether we choose the obedience or disobedience- free will- (Tawan or Karhan). So Islam to GOD is a state of mind followed by a way of life. Qoran is not a book for just" Traditional Muslims", It is a book for all the humans. Al Naas No need to change into religions of Men. One can be a Muslim to GOD in any religion, by obeying and following GOD Alone. Let me give the example of Moses and the cow in an analogy about religions of men Moses said to his people to sacrifice-Idhbahu- a cow.( He did not say The cow .i.e no specification , knowing there will be questions to follow) His people obviously thought what type of cow to which Moses answered I am not ignorant- i.e I have knowledge about this type of cow- So they asked the questions 1- What type. A= Neither old nor very young. In between the two. 2_ What colour A= Yellow - A striking colour that lets everyone know its state just by looking at it. 3_Give us some additional details to know for sure A= A cow full of itself/confident... that does not till the earth/prepares the ground nor does it water it, Appears peaceful/good-Musallamatun- and does not benefit anyone or anything. So they obeyed with reluctance/fear of what becomes of them./consequences from people... Our benefit from this story can be a general lesson to all the generations regardless of time and place Moses is asking all of us to dissect our religion_ a cow- as each party has different religions - _Idhbahu is not Uktulu, the difference is the first one you benefit from it- in other words check your religion by dissecting it to understand it using your faculties that GOD gave you . Ask the questions 1- Are we following the old or the very new blindly and mixing . i.e pick the best from both through your effort with your faculties and reasons. Following either blindly must be avoided. 2_ This religion of ours could be ill - Its yellow colour shows its state-and others see it as such by just looking at our ways.Do we clearly see flaws in a religion and still follow by ignoring our instinct. 3-This religion looks like it is preparing us but in fact it has no life The people look confident with it but gain nothing from it. So dissect such a religion and only pick the things that agree with GOD s message. Otherwise we are killing our spiritual self. Welcome . GOD is the source of everything including "Islam". His book -Qoran- defines it as a state of mind of the individual not a religion with issues/problems. There are general human issues and Islam is supposed to free the individual and solve most of these human problems about life and religions. Peace Ervin, I want to address the 'pray according to...' concern. There are in my view three chapters which by their nature and structure are 'prayers' in The Quran, 1, 113 and 114. My suggestion would be to leave the first word out of your prayer in the case of the final two chapters and to recite the remaining words for reasons that should be obvious to any thinking person. Those who do or insist on saying the word 'qul' or 'say' as part of the prayer are simply parroting the words as an incantation. Those who understand what the first word is telling them in contrast, have understood the message and are reciting the words to The God indeed as a prayer. Peace to you.

I am learning Arabic, i want to master it. But first i will have to learn Arabic for a few years, study the Quran for another few years and that's when i will start my reformation. It's important to talk with knowledge and at least know Arabic. So many times people didn't take me serious because i didn't know what the ACTUAL Arabic Quran was saying. A translation is only enough for those that want to read, but for those who want to speak, it is a must, to ACTUALLY know what you are speaking about.
