A couple of verses so you may have more conviction that Quran is the only source 1689 ...we have revealed to you the Book as an exposition of everything... (۔۔۔وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ۔۔۔) 1037 ...and a detailed exposition of law... (۔۔۔وَتَفْصِيلَ الْكِتَابِ۔۔۔) I am a converted Belgian Muslima who fell in love with quran 10 years ago. When I converted I had no knowledge of hadith. When I learned I had to accept hadith as devine law, next to quran, this led to a crisis of faith. I learned about quranisme and found my bearings again. Recently I was confronted with extreme sect behavior in my local mosque wich renewed my intrest in connecting with other quranis.

I think no one will ever know the truth the way he or she want it. Even Quran starts with a verse which translates to "unseen". Now you go on and try to explain unseen, you would have many explanations of which no one will ever know the one 21 ALM. 22 That is the book, which is without doubt-a guide for the righteous. 23 The ones who believe in the unseen, and hold the indoctrination, and from Our provisions to them they spend. So I guess every one is for himself, believe or not, upto him. The fact of matter is that in every crestion of God, there is good and evil in every sense and how one overcomes the evil and follow the good is The Test which creator has put on. Does not matter you did not hear about Quran in your life and die, you will be judged on your own understanding of what you made of this world? there were enough signs in your life that you could have listened to and turn your face towards the creator. In todays time we have the whole Quran compiled and easily acceible to us in the confort of our living room and we go about trying to explain, and make sense of every single verse? Lets go back in time like 200-500 years after Islam was born, do you think every single Muslim (who got converted) would have access or time (from his daily chores) to read and understand each verse? It was about basic good things which Islam taught, which is affirmation of the previous religion/prophets which is to believe in one creator and not associate partners and then to follow as much as you can put load on yourself to learn about Quran etc. I believe we should do that same, take a chance and believe in the unseen and follow the good path in every humantiarian way (under Quran now that we come to know about it) and worse case if we were wrong, we would not have lost anything because we genuinly led a decent life with honor and being good to all. Was the Injeel originally written in Aramaic? Or was it in Greek? I went to an Aramaic Church and they told me it's Greek? It does make sense if it's Greek, because the Israelites rejected Christ and the Injeel was given also to the Romans. Jesus spoke in mostly Syrian Aramaic, the native tongue of Galilee and Syria , with addition of Greek/Latin (When talking to the Romans) and Hebrew (when talking with Judean, especially the Rabbis). It will be similar to a today's European who speak Dutch, German, French and English choosing the appropriate language to use depending on the context and the people he met with. Jesus never wrote a book (and so does Mohammad or Moses for that matter) infact none of his students ever wrote any book. It seems Jesus sees writing a book as something that is not important. Yet he teaches his student on healing, specifically spiritual healing, it seems Jesus put more importance on healing compared to writing a book about his life. You better wonder why it is so... The book that made it to the 'official bundle' as released initially by Roman Empire was written by Matthew in Hebrew, Mark, a student of Peter. the actual person who met and interact directly with Jesus, in Greek, Luke in Greek and John in Aramaic. There are many other writing materials which refer to the life Jesus The Nozirith and his cousin John which didn't make it to the official bundle as released by Roman Empire. While the official bundle authorized by Roman Empire was initially released in Greek, since it was 'stamped' in Nicea, (Today it's named as Iznik in Turkey) a greek city where the official language was Greek. Salaam everyone I am a Muslim. Sunni because my father and mother are Sunni. Beyond Sunni I don’t know the sect I belong to. I have asked my father many a times same question and got the answer too but never remembered. I am not too religious or too ritualistic. I don’t offer prayers five times. I don’t fast (of course for reasons). I do offer a Salah every day and like to go to Friday prayers. Fast forward – I am middle aged married to a Hindu wife and have two beautiful kids in their teens (a son and a daughter). By education I am an Electrical Engineer and have been working in IT for a little more than couple of decades now. Why I am here I am a person of reason and logic so do not follow things just because someone has said it and it’s written? I question, enquire and research before forming my opinion. Somehow, I have never been a follower of Hadiths as I don’t know which one is right or otherwise. There are thousands I guess. Some say this on this is the best and others say that one. As any other non-Arab speaking person, I have read Quran without understanding it. Since past few years, whenever there is a question in my mind about any religious thing like for example Islamic Calendar, Women Empowerment or some misconception, dietary prohibitions, alcohol, and others I research internet and more often than not I have chanced upon articles on Free-minds.org that are meaningfully explained with interpretation from Quran and contextualization based on those times. By the way, I am not good at writing long paragraphs, probably this is my first and last big one. Peace adisaat. Welcome. This post will deal with "reason" as seen by "my mind is restrictive/brainwashed and made up" ideas of most sects. For example some Muslims think that they are using reason to come up with a conclusion that traditional Islam is the right religion!!! like Being able to use our reason, and come to logical conclusions is a God-given blessing, and in addition to this, thinking, reasoning and contemplation are essential parts of faith. Thus, a person is reminded to use rational thought processes to come to logical conclusions. Without knowledge and understanding a person may not recognize God or worship Him in irrational or forbidden ways. " And "rrationality could be described as one of the characteristics of unbelief, idolatry, or hypocrisy. Lack of reason hinders a person’s ability to recognize the truth, and the value of religion. " They use Qoran verses to draw your attention to GOD wanting us to use our faculties and senses to investigate the truth. Then they hit you with this hammer of a trap on the head to knock out your reasoning "And it is through reasoning we conclude that if we are convinced that Islam is the true religion of God based on its fundamental teachings and the proofs it offers, then that implies accepting all that it teaches even if we are not able to understand certain things or the wisdom behind them due to our limitations." This contradiction above is asking you to use your reason first, then stop using it and just accept certain things-Traditional Islam- you are not going to understand!!!! In other words they know the hadiths are contradictory and contain nonsense that people are going to question,but one has to accept hadiths as well. This is their conclusion after we supposedly use our reason "hen our reasoning is based on logical conclusions, God’s commandments, and our own moral compass, we feel comfortable and confident in our faith. Islam allows us to live and thrive in an ever-changing world because God tells us to think. He tells us to use our own powers of deduction, improve our faith and improve our world through reason and religion." They know perfectly well that the majority of the Muslims are not happy or satisfied that their faith has improved through Traditional Islam. On the contrary they are now realising that they are struggling,lost and weak in this world of Science and technology .The majority of Muslims are behind,backward and looking to the west or others for help and support. What reasoning is this? Where is it leading? Is the proof not in the pudding? Does GOD in Qoran not say that the message is a guide to happiness , confidence and peace of mind individually and socially? Or does GOD lie? The penny may drop yet? Who knows. peace, Welcome to the forum. reading the works of academic atheists and theists--the postings of the laymen are nowhere near the academic debates on religion. So I started doing this and overtime, the arguments against theism I've known have been shown to be poor arguments--even by academic atheists! Can you give us a summary of the main/interesting things/arguments you found?

The amazing thing is that the mathemtical pattern and even number 19 has an involvement in my journey. I acknoledged for example as Edip Yuksel points out the odds of the arrangement of the muaqataat in the quran being arranged in this manner giving multiples of 19 is about 1/60,000. HOWEVER when i saw the pattern of JUST TWO VERSES in the Bible i.e. Gen 11 and John 11 when the SAME FORMULA was applied to each of them it resulted in both pi and eulers number to FOUR SIGNIFICANT FIGS exactly, it kinna stuck with me. that was much more powerful with probability lower than 1/1000,000. The previous scriptures were also from God (The Quran says so). But they were corrupted. So we should expect to see some formula of 19 within them too... In fact, if ALL 3 scriptures have an improbable numerical code in them, then that is evidence they are all originally from God (which is what Islam teaches, lol). If the other scriptures don't a numerical code (or a remnant of a numerical code), then that is not evidence against Islam because they could've been corrupted. In fact, verse 7431 said those who were given the scripture can also be convinced through the 19 phenomenon (which is a numerical phenomenon) that the Quran is from God And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. Note that "those who were given the scripture" could also mean "Muslims", but it could also be referring to "Christians/Jews". Thus it could mean Christians/Jews through looking at their scriptures and seeing remnants of a numerical code in them too would be convinced of the Truth of the Quran and Islam. As I said, if all 3 scriptures have remnants of a numerical code, then that is evidence that all 3 are originally from God (which is literally what the Quran says) But as we will see below, those whose hearts are perversity from those who have been given the scripture and the believers, will be misguided through it SECONDLY given that 19 is the number thats so central in the quran it stands to reason that sura 19 verse 19 should be amongst the most profund verses of the quran. Well heres what that verse says 1919 He said I am only a messenger of thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son. That's a non-sequitur. You assume that 1919 must say something central to Islam. Why? In fact, this may be one mechanism Allah uses to misguide those through 19. Allah said that through the 19 thing, he will misguide some and guide others. By putting 1919 he allows those whose hearts are perversity to be misguided, while allowing those whose hearts are open to be guided. For my case, I know there there is no reason that verse 1919 necessarily has to say something central to Islam. Allah could've simply avoided that just to misguide you and others (just as Allah promised--he will misguide some and guide others through the 19). In the context its obviously talking about none other than JESUS CHRIST. imo no one can just chuck this off as coincidence given tht he belevied in code19. Thus God in His providence used the very number 19 to lead me to come home to Christianity. Or God could've misguided you into Christianity...The Quran says Allah misguides and guides whom he wills--and it also says will also do this using the number 19. Ofc there was much more involved in the rpocess of my conversion. Another astounding of what i call a ripple effect within mainstream sunni islam is the muslims in the past evhemently fighting against the mutazila who claimed allah's word the quran was created,, as opposed to the mainstream view tht it is uncreated. muslims even went through persecution to defend this doctrine. Yet this mimicks what happened AT THE COUNCIL OF NICEA CENTURIES BEFORE THAT. For me this was anothe rpowerful evidence of God even leaving muslims with a trail of evidence to come home to the Orthodox Christian Faith which includes accepting the Council of Nicea. I now have a utube channel and a discord sevrer as follows It is a non-sequitur to say that how Muslims act is evidence against the truth of the Quran. That doesn't follow logically. Your arguments are weak at best. I don't see much insight or intellect in your claims. Looks like Allah misguided you through the 19, just as he promised he would.
