Salam ade_cool, My story is similar to yours, although I study Christianity and Judaism. And try to debate some of them (read try to convert them to Suniism). I applied the "same standard" to my Sunni beliefs...(especially the illogical shahadah) and BOOM, I'm a God Aloner...

The mindset of the Sunni who does not believe blindly is very good, I suggest you all take notes from that. Not that the hadith are even worth a second glance, but a lot of these people mean really well.

You are very young, but I know that there are young people who have been into religion and seeking a faith that fits them well. Especially with such a weighty Revelation as the Qur'an, it is a bounty and blessing that you were seeking to investigate the Truth. I was also very young when I began searching for a faith for me, that it unfortunately separated me from other people. But despite the fact that many of us on this forum are young, it is our generation that needs to change become more spiritual, instead of focusing on the rituals and little superstitions that divide us. I find it funny how video game lead me to free-minds. I play Rome Total War and was on twcenter.net talking to others about the up-coming release of Medieval total war 2. Then I found someone's signature on the forum and found free-minds. Then I found the forum because I am a forum freak. Same for me. ;D

I lived in Lahore, for nearly a year and a half, back in 2003/2004. I also visited Islamabad 4 times. It is a very clean city. I have also been to Murree. It reminded me of the northern states because of all the pine trees. peace, dotty

Peace to al, I have to agree we owe a bit of thanks to Rashid Khalifa, i knew absolutely nothing about Islam or Quran until I converted, the first time I ever read the Quran was online and at submission org, i didnt even know there was a difference between hadeeth following muslim and us Quran alone at the time, when I read the Quran at submission I converted with tears in my eyes, i knew it was the truth and still is, so I do thank Khailfa, i do not worship him, i do not even really think he is the messenger of Quran as some say he is, i kinda believe in code 19 or at least I believe it could be true because it would be easy for God to do if he wanted to, but im not a mathamatician and im sure if some math genius were to try to tell me the code is wrong i would probably believe him too, bu if he told me the Quran is not from God I would never believe him, no matter how many math codes he uses to prove it.
