Salaam I am pondering this part of 738 "Our Lord, these are the ones who have misguided us, so give them double the retribution of the Fire!" He replied "Each will receive double, but you do not know." peace I Think God is talking about your religious leaders each of them will get double retribution but you will also get a part for following them>

Thanks Wakas. Upon reviewing whole concept of Kafir. I am retranslating the first verse as following. Al-kafirun (Historically The Disbelievers. ) Surah 109 1 Wake you, lethargic in unwise actions, the ones hiding the sufficient and fulfilling knowledge; due to the denial of facts and the ingratitude of all benevolent acts. Surah 109 2 Neither are you created a slave, nor, to seek to be slaves and worshipers. Surah 109 3 Have not I made you complete, potentially perfect and free from deficiency? Are not the ones being worshiped, like their worshipers. Surah 109 4 Neither do I want servers and worshipers, nor you to worship or become slaves. This is to be complete, potentially perfect and free from deficiency. Surah 109 5 Have not I made you complete, potentially perfect and free from deficiency? Are not ones being worshiped, like their worshipers. Surah 109 6 Then enough is enough of subjugation and being in a state of low prestige and low esteem. You hold full command (of your actions) in subjugation, to be in a state of low prestige and low esteem. Abdun Nur http//servantofthe light.com/ content/view/ 95/126/ Badar

Can you read it? www.studyquran.org has some excellent links to aid in your studies. I have found these books quiet useful Fundamentals of Classical Arabic Arabic grammar book. Part 1, Part 2, and finally part 3. Source www.studyquran.org Once you get the hang of it, you will be amazed by the language of the quran. The translations just do not do it justice.

Peace, Respectfully. I've been calling some people to Islam and The Quran on this link http//www.topix.com/forum/religion/islam But rarely do they want to learn. Most of them want to argue and insult me. Which some do. Some are nice, met some nice people there. Glory be to our God, Peace.

I don't know how many times, but I know it occurs more than once, a reference to the sun and moon being in a fixed orbit. Such as 3640 "The Sun cannot overtake the Moon, nor can the night outrun the day each floats in it's own orbit." Is this implying the Sun and Moon orbit the earth which we know today is not the case? That is true, but the sun does have a fixed orbit around the Galaxy.

"irrelevant and off the cuff" is the qualifier. And it is evident. It is not something that one thinks but is what others find and see. Hence the question is even irrelevant and off the cuff. Thanks. Who are you talking to ?? What are you talking about ??

Dear brother Prince, I am going to jump ahead. This due brother Herbman asking a question. Dear Herbman. I will tell you first how I arrived the understanding in my translation of Al-Fil. Subsequently I will share with you that due increasing understanding of language everyday. Why now I understand it to be incorrect. The word initially I translated as combination of two. and . Where is of comparison and for root I used meaning as ?you be quick and swift in incline and decline?. Please see links below. http//www.studyquran.org/LaneLexicon/Volume8/00000252.pdf http//www.studyquran.org/LaneLexicon/Volume5/00000348.pdf However, since I worked on AL-Asr. I understand above to be incorrect. This is based on presence of a Jezm on Sad. Hence I understand that word is a combination of three not two. First is as above, root followed by used as personal pronoun instead of as I described in first verse. More later. Badar

Peace, Respectfully. I tried calling them to get united in the Central London Mosque but got banned. I'll try at the speaker's corner, Hyde Park, this sunday, God willing and i'd like at least some of you brothers and sisters to join me, if you want, can and have the time. They want to prove it to me that i'm misguided and a kaffir and all i'm trying to do, is calling them to read and follow The Quran. Peace.

The total No does matter since there is this information Had the total number of verses been odd it would have hurt the perception infolded in the word/Root. Grand Qur'aan is void of any contradiction/conflicting statement. Significance is this. It may not seem significant to those who are in the habit of reading books as novels and for killing or passing the time. The Book is something serious while majority of people is always non serious. Only that Book creates a liability to be followed strictly which is void of any contradiction and conflict in it. This is why it is significant.

yaktuba (&#1614 verb 3rd person singular masculine imperfect verb, subjunctive mood (228219) ... he writes ... In word by word translation how can we also reflect the subjunctive mood of the verb since "he writes" perhaps does not convey the perception or complete perception of the word.

Peace, The evidence is in the existing old manuscripts (of which some screen shots were placed in the Preface). The older manuscripts did not have any chapter names/headings. They simply had some calligraphy or other such marks to show the end of a sura. Of cource, even in the absence of such marks, you can tell the begining of a sura from the header "bismillaarahmanalraheem" which prefixes 113 chapters. Thanks for replying! I know that pictures of the Gold Quran and the Sanaa Quran are shown in the Preface. Were other sources used? Also, can anybody tell me what are the oldest copies of the Quran out there? I assume they're in a museum or something but I don't know what they are. ??? Peace peace peace peace peace
