In case (1), the word aydeen can be seen in the proper meaning, provided one cuts both hands of the thieves (that's the opinion of saladin in this forum). peace, I think the answer is quite simple. The reason is probably you/we are trying to understand a system that is giving us guidelines for every aspect in our lives that we may encounter, and is trying to realise the human potential. With such a huge topic and scope, of course there will be differences of opinion, and that is why The Quran itself promotes consultation, following what is best, increasing one's knowledge, verification, reflection etc. Now, as we all know, to specifically make clear solution to every situation we may encounter in our lives is impossible, as it would be infinite, however, what a book can do is point us in the right direction within limits of flexibility. This inherent flexibility is not a disadvantage in my opinion, it is a mercy.

Peace, I have noticed in Free Minds? Quran translation in verse 56 that the word ?the feet? is treated as the verbal object of the verb to wipe. However, ?arjul (in Hafs an Asim) is in the accusative case, which renders it the verbal object of the verb to wash. Therefore, it would read ??then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads, and wash and your feet to the ankles??, as opposed to ??then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles??. Fa/ conjunctive preposition ighsiloo 'to wash' is the beginning of the verbal sentence that governs several objects. Imsahoo bi ruoosikum wipe YOUR head (as you are washing) ruoosikum 'Your head' is the object of the verb imsahoo 'wipe' Imsahoo bi ruoosikum as part of the verbal sentence construct as such its governed by the verb ighsiloo 'to wash' In the process of washing be sure to take your hands and wipe over your head....

Good observation siki! Here's what I think We bear witness about something when it's unknown to some. There's no meaning to bear witness to the messenger that he's the messenger, or to God that he's his messenger. But God bears witness that they are hypocrites because the messenger and those who believe him to be the messenger of God do not know they are hypocrites It's a fact unknown to some. bravo I agree yes God knows, but Mohamed does not, their intentions (what is in their heart), which does not match what they said "We bear witness that you are most surely Allah's Messenger".

Obviously, If your just reflecting upon the english interpretation, 'its 'simple'. But the true meaning is indicated in the grammar of the Quran. nazzalna means order, arrangement, the verbal form of the word 'II' indicates a time element and repetition. 'Time' is inherently 'order', successive order, successive repetitive order. What about the 1788 and your theory...

What is the Quranic take on slavery. If it is not allowed, then why was it allowed in the time of the prophet? I understand that it was not liked, but nonetheless it was allowed. Lots of non-muslims ask me this question and I honestly cant answer it. The only thing you need is Quran 2433. Now, for humans being muslims and obeying the god and taking the example of the prophet. They'd be keep to those words, and on top of that would have been spreading the message aswell. Then again, why would anyone want to become a slave? Better than starving. Oh and it's alternative to the massive scale modern methods of welfare. That is, where you allow the movement of responsibility regarding the most poorest from the community as a whole, to those rich enough to look after such people. Sounds more better than welfare. Unfortunately, the welfare of the "slaves" depends upon the quality of master. If slavery still existed, then the first solution to prevent atrocities against humans, would be to get a license to owning slaves. Maybe we'd see Finish driving license style examinations. This is the only reason I can see why the god did not forbid "slavery", or that which your right hand holds. And I can see the benefit over the current welfare model. By the way, your government does own you, and can sell you. They do this in China. They sell you alive, or dead... to rich Japanese patients waiting for organs. peace al, He means he pays no attention to grammar when "translating". He also forgot to mention he pays no attention to cross referencing of word usage. Simple, is well known for keeping it simple.
