. Shaheed means to raise one's self above the worldly ways to lead a life inscribed by Allah and stand tall as model amongst your umma and a witness over their deeds both in this world and in the hereafter. Peace .

Peace, I think dar al-salaam refers to the system promulgated in alquran. I'm not sure so don't take it as a fact. ) Joe Hello Joe I would say you are right to a degree, what you said can be logical as the only method of "Dawa" that Allah is using with us, in the arabic verse we read "Allah Yad'oo" to the destination (the Dar of peace), Dar means "House" in arabic btw, so "Dar Al Salam" should be the destination "a Place where there will be peace" and the only method of "Dawa" Allah used with us is the system and laws in His Quran peace

Peace ichephren Let me add my 2c the whole sura is talking about an imortant law to humans, "Divorce" this law by Allah was explained in great details in this sura Allah is telling us what we should be aware of in case a divorce will happen between a man and a woman the point is Allah does not want a divorce to happen if the woman is pregnant, makes sense for sure so Allah is telling us the women who do not get monthly period any more, we should wait 3 months before divorcing them to make sure that they are not pregnant the second part of the verse is talking about women who do not get the monthly period because they are pregnant and cosequently Allah want us not to divorce them untill the baby is delivered in both cases the man will have a chance of a few months to consider not to divorce his wife Allah knows best peace

Peace, This is nothing but a long winded exposition based on religious notions. Religion is a concept nowhere found in the reading, a book of reason and logic. "And We sent down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism)." Healing is a poor choice of words and has been used in religion to foster magical thinking. The use of the word believers has the same effect. The word is better rendered as convinced. ?Shifaa?un? is a relief? I won?t bother commenting on the fairytales called hadith that seek to explain what the writers failed to understand.

No you're starting again. Not very mature. You changed subject by relating to another thread whick I will reply to, jusy be patient. Changing the subject? My subject of life itself is al-quraan which tells me O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not? Grievously odious is it in the sight of God that ye say that which ye do not.(61/2-3) So really, if you leave people hanging after they've wasted thier time answering you, you shouldn't accuse others of the same thing. Obviously you have no actual knowledge of the Torah. I you have had so, there would have been an explanation right here to your view that lacks any substance Yeah, 'obviously'. The possibilities that 'no i can't' means a. i dont have time b. im not feeling well c. i dont think you're worth the time d. the moderators told me to lay off the subject 'obviously' do not exist because being a virtual Allah, you have ilmul ghaib, right? That's why you're so confident as to use the word 'obviously'. You gotta share your secret of nubuwwat there, buddy.

JM, wrote We have no direct knowledge of whether or not God forbade the Jews to eat pig. The torah may have been altered, so, it cannot be regarded as a reliable source of knowledge. You are distorting what I have said, by quoting only a part of my post. Yes, we have no direct knowledge, but (as I have explained it) we have indirect knowledge, by combining and , and reminding the grammatical rule. See http//www.free-minds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4031&start=625#55493 And http//www.free-minds.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4031&start=625#55205 Your statements have been refuted again and again. I will waste no more time with you.

Salam, We made the Quran easy to remember(li-Dhikirri). Does any of you wish to learn? This verse and three similar ones in the same sura indicate clearly that GOD made the Quran easy for anyone of us to memorize it as compared to any other revelaed book and ofcourse all ordinary human books. And it is true. Millions of people in the world today know the Quran by heart word for word. There's not a single known book, religious or non-religious, in the world other than the Quran which has been memorized completely word for word in its original language, neither are the translations memorized word for word. Thus this is indeed a unique feature in the Quran which allows us to memorize It and we should appreciate it. Since GOD is calling us to memorize It i volunteered and am trying to memorize the Quran from now on by GOD's Will. GOD Bless! Why is it that you want to memorize the qur'?n and what in your opinion will you benefit from it? I'd rather say that the dhikr encouragement refers to perceive on a deeper level, to sense the echo of something deep inside your mind and belief. The text of this reading works very much as a mirror, not actually creating the sunlight (our spirit, ruuh, nafs...) but rather passing it on to ourselves letting us see it for our own eyes, remembering what is unfortunately buried inside most of us. Furthermore, I do not consider the qur'?n much more difficult to memorize than any other book of this structure. Good luck with whatever dhikr training you get on with! /St?phane

but the singular form of the word "yaum", without personality relating suffices(general counting rule which was applied to all words counted by RK) like yumakum, yaumahum meaning your day and their day repsectively, occurs exactly 365 times without personality ? .. who are you trying to kid.. Edip Yuksel left out many other singular forms of "yaum" to maniplate his count He left out "and THAT day" which occurs 5 times BUT he INCLUDED "and THE day" He left out "THAT day" which occurs 65 times BUT he INCLUDED "a day" Khi- Salam. As i said 'that day' 'this day' (yaumaizin) is not the same as yaum. It is a sufficed form. 'Allahumma' is also not counted when wer counting the word 'Allah'. And what you propbaly mean is the form 'yauman' with an alif at the end. This would be counted and the same has been done with the word 'raheem' where 'raheeman' was included also. It is because adding of an alif doesnt change or add meaning to the word. Ive seen this rule being applied consistently for absract nouns. Exceptions are non-abstract nouns like Quran and Rasool. In both these cases the forms with alif appended were NOT included. So again we have consistency in that category. Ive made a list of the rules of counting http//19.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=18570&rid=222 GOD Bless!

Peace Pam, However, in this article it is said that both versions has 7 verses for the first chapter/surah of the Qur'an. If that is true then how come the Free-Minds version as 8? Who came up with this and why? The 7 verse numbers between Hafs & Warsh are not the same. Hafs counts the 'Basmalla' as # 1, while Warsh leaves the 'Basmalla' out. The Free-Minds translation treats all 'Basmallas' as part of the original revealed Scripture and this numbers them as # 1 (thus, if you are using Warsh + recognizing the Basmalla, then the total becomes 8 ). Treating The ?Basmallah? All existing printed editions of the Scripture treat the ?Basmallah? (the title which reads ?In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful?) as a stand-alone verse and is thus not numbered or included in the body text with the exception of verse 11. A study of older copies of the Scripture have shown that all the ?Basmallahs? are in-fact part of the revealed text and were previously separated by a ?*? or an ?/? as were all the other verses. xxxxxxxx image here xxxxxxxxxx Image from chapter 3 of ?Gold Quran? dated around 800 A.D. which shows a verse stop after the ?Basmallah? This translation treats all the ?Basmallahs? as fully revealed verses and thus includes them in the individual as well as total count of verses (even though the older written copies simply used a ?*? or ?/? to mark the verse stops, numbers have been assigned to the verse stops in this translation to ease reference).

Peace Albion, I imagine that Al Nassaraa are the people from Nassrah TAJ with this in mind could you look at the following two verses and tell us if you think "Nasarahu" has been translated wrong by the translators 940 If you fail to support him 940 Illa tansuroohu faqad nasarahu Allahu Nassara (masculine singular simple past tense)- Yanssuru (masculine sigular present tense) is more than just to support. It is like when you rush to rescue someone from a seriously difficult situation a life or death situation, even if that rescue could cause you your own life. That is how Nassara goes among people. With God it is like this when I say that God is my Nasseer or (another derivative) Naasser, that mean that I am under the full protection of God and that God will not allow any harm to reach me and that God will make me win against my (His) enemies. So in the Ayah you mentioned , Allah is telling those who had failed Muhammad, who had failed to be there for him with full support and protection when he needed it mostly, that their careless position will not matter because Allah was the One to protect Muhammad. Here we have Nasara (Christian/Nasarian) with hu (Him), so shouldn't Nasarahu be translated as a Nasarian/Christian Male, Christian Him, Him a Nasarian/Christian. instead of "supported him" Christian him!? And have the translators confused "Nasarahu" for "nasarnahu" which is also translated as "supported him" in 2177... Notice "nasarnahu" has an extra "n", so they appear to be two different words... 2177 We supported him against the people who rejected our revelations. They were evil people, so we drowned them all. 2177 Wanasarnahu mina alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatina innahum kanoo qawma saw-in faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeena I would be interested in knowing what your understanding of these two words are thanks ie nasarnahu vs nasarahu The pronouns are the difference, but the meaning of the word Nassara remains the same. Na here is like we in English. Hu here is like him 'Hu' could also mean 'his', but not in that word here. 'Na' could also mean 'us' for plural and dual, but not in that word here.
