Salam all, In 6145, 16115, 2173, we are prohibited to eat (taAAima) the blood which can mean both to eat and to drink. If the God means only to drink the blood, the verb used to mean it is shariba the drinkers alshsharibeen (4715, 1666, 3746, 4715) drinking, They drank shariboon (5654, 2249) drink shurb (5655) he drinks shariba (2249) drinks masharib (3673) daman masfoohan (6145) brings an additional information in order to make the difference between the blood which remains in the body and the blood which leaves the body after slaughtering the animal.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts darcus. It's always interesting to see verses through someone else's 'eyes'. Don't worry about conforming to other people's thoughts. Everyone has their own 'clicks'. Case and point? - 81... Peace be with you

Salaam DHULQARNANE, Thanks a lot for your reply and inputs. So, I ask you, does it take knowledge of the Arabic language to derive the guidance from Al-Quran or does it take obtaining the knowledge of what the terms are in Al-Quran in order to gain guidance? Do you have to know the Arabic language in order to serve Allah only and alone and practice right thought and right behavior? Well, actually I am already sure that learning the Arabic of Quran is not as important as to be a 'good' person. As you said it right thought and right behavior. To say that Allah demands each and every one of us to really learn the Classical Arabic is, I think, not too reasonable. I want to learn the language because I am simply curious and want to learn more, although as of now my learning is based on Lane's Lexicon and the scholars' translations. GW, I can at least understand stuffs such as grammar rules, verb rules, etc. as I know exist in English and Indonesian. Actually, this is what I'm trying to tell my local Sunnis -- that it's useless to read the Arabic Quran if you don't know the meaning, and you just 'reassuring' yourself that you will receive some sort of blessings or help from HIM (while this might happen) or, God Forgive me, Muhammad. This includes traditional 5 prayers of course... (Insert your imagined Sunni-responses here. Trust me, they're very creative ) A grave misconception regarding one's gaining guidance from Al-Quran is that, one must learn the Arabic language, if that is what you mean by Classical Arabic. I agree and yes, that's what I mean by Classical Arabic (by the way, is the term 'Classical Arabic' correct when referring to the Arabic used by Quran?). I held that misconception for years in my 'old' days, you can thank the ulamas and my ignorance for that. Remembering this, I sometimes felt totally stupid. D how difficult can getting guidance from Al-Quran be? GOD says it's easy. I realize that now. (5417,22,32,40) I have to be honest that I have not been trying my best to uphold Quran without any additional dangerous additive... til a couple of months ago. That is... til I learn, read, and contemplate about hadiths. But, reading Quran as the guidance sure is enlightening. The Quran in short has one message. in my opinion. That GOD is ONE and we should never associate HIM with anyone or anything; and that we have to do good deeds. That's it. So regarding your question... Let me ask you...what can be so complicated about how to avoid...Hell? None actually. Only the 'disease' of the heart which usually hinders people of becoming good. Thanks again. Wasalaam, =adley=

Salaams Br, according to your translation i am sure the sun prostrated to joseph. abraham initially took the sun as his lord. and the sun sets in a pool of muddy water as well. but to me this is a fools world and people will believe in anything said; attatched to Allah or the prophet , but not me - as Allah said weight and consider , and do your own research. Thanks for the reply. God Bless.Bye.

AhmedFrom what I understand, the verse says that God could have made the shadow stationary, and the sun would be an indication of this. that is exactly right bro However, you also said that ancient people thought that the earth was flat and that the cause of shadows was the sun's rotation about the flat earth. If this is true, then the verse could be interpreted as saying that God could have made the shadow stationary and we would know by observing the sun(possibly that the sun would also be stationary). Well, this fits both the modern conception and the ancient one, so who is to know which conception of the universe the verse intended? Do you get my meaning? Could you explain further? sure bro I understand what you are coming from let me try to simplify it we have two opposite understanding The earth is stationary ( The old days ) ( The sun rotates around earth) and causes the shade to change length The earth rotates around its axis ( Th late days ) and causes the shade to change length under the old understanding to stop the shade we need to stop the sun, based on the assumed fact that the earth is staionary already, if the Quran has said so that Allah will stop the sun to stop the shade then THIS WILL BE AN ERROR IN THE QURAN later on when science discovers that cause of the shade and consequently it can't be from God as God should not make any mistakes, as well He told us the Quran does not have any mistakes, this will result in the religion is fake but Allah didn't say He will stop the sun, AND HE ALSO MENTIONED THE SUN IN THE VERSE but to only prove that the shade has stopped ( sure we need a sun or any source of light to creat a shade for any object) and that is what the sun will do to prove that the shade is not moving any more Imagine the sun is not mentioned at all in the verse, just like this "Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how He extends the shade? And if He had pleased He would certainly have made it stationary. period, while the above example of a verse has nothing wrong if the sun nor the earth is not mentioned and the verse can be interpeted as "with the willing of God" He can just stop the shade, without giving us a hint in how He can do that BUT The SUN was mentioned, I believe to give the later people a hint on what God meant to say, for the old people it will go unnoticed as mentioning the sun as an indictation of the still shade may be understood as stopping the sun because they thought the shade movement is the result of the sun movement while the earth is stationary and the Quran already told them that the sun swims in an orbit and also it told us the the sun runs to a destined location, no chance of conflict here Mentioning the sun in the verse as an indication of the still shade is the hint to the later generations as far as a believe, because it means f"or me" that Allah did not mean to stop the sun as if He meant so he would have said so when He mentioned the sun, but He included it without saying it will be stopped rather a second event following the first event (stopping the shade), the second event will be to prove that the shade is still, you see proving that the shade is still does not require mentioning the sun or the earth as an evident to the stopping, because people will see with their own eyes that the shade has stopped, consequently mentioning the sun is a great sign as far as a believe for us to recognise that Allah meant stopping the earth BUT HE DID NOT say that so His message is not compromised as the early people back then most likely should have thought that Mohammad (pbuh) is crazy to suggest stopping the earth Allah knows best Peace

Salam, TH-Fa-RA can be read as thufr = nail, claw in the singular form or thufur which can be considered as the singular or the plural form of thufr. Let us suppose that TH-Fa-RA means claws in 6146, the birds have also claws/nail like human and several animals. From 7160 we read that the people of Moses enjoyed delicious bird meat (quail). The hunting animals like dogs, some birds (falcons), lions are quilified as aljawarih in the light of the Reading (54). all that have claws are not under the hunting animals/aljawarih. Looking for your thoughts, Salam This my reply to JM Maybe they have...The accessory, or dew, claws have short conical horn capsules. Those of the pig are quite well developed. http//137.222.110.150/calnet/Lfoot/page3.htm Maybe?! Well, don't you KNOW? If you are claiming that pig is haram, then you must be certain of your facts. The article you posted begins with the following Anatomy of the Ox, Sheep, Goat and Pig's Foot The article, relative the hoof being referred to as a...claw, means that, the hoof of these animals consist of two "dew claws", however, this notwithstanding, the aforementioned animals are said to have hooves not claws. Once again, if these animals truly had claws, then the sheep, goat, and ox, in their entirety, as well as the following, would have been haram to the Jews the deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope and the mountain sheep. Jews, both before and after Al-Quran and the Torah, ate these animals. Thus, thufr, in ayat 6146, cannot mean "dew claw"/hoof, likewise, khinzeer, cannot mean the specie of animal pig, otherwise, the goat, ox, and sheep would have had to have been haram before Al-Quran and still be haram today, if thufr means\t "dew claw"/hoof and not simply claw. Is this not correct? Looking toward your reply.

Salaam mquran, Thanks for the swift reply. Yes, I have to also make sure that the suggested meaning should fit in every Surah that begins with Alif Lam Mim. And yes, I agree that 3 letters probably means there is 3 significant 'things' that ultimately can be treated as one concept. It's just my opinion. Allah Knows Best of course. Btw, does ALif Lam Mim in Surah 2 must be exactly the same (in meaning) as in Surah 3? What do you think? Wasalaam, =adley=

Peace Layth, This issue has been resolved with one username currently in operation. As for the previous banning, that has been suspended based on the word of the user to adhere to the forum rules. Layth, this guy MADE UP a quote, ("I on occasion smoke weed"), claimed that I wrote it. Thus he implied I engaged in criminal activity. Do you want him to declare he's the anti-christ before you ban him? Oh well, its your mulk, you rule as you see fit. I made up no quote in your name, STOP LYING. The quote was jaxal's. My God, can't you get anything right??

You nor any of the others, have given a Quranic refutation to ayats 4160, 55, 6146, and 16116. Refuting 'ayats' ?? Are you really aware of what you are writing? Peace. Better...are you aware of their meanings?...apparently not.

Salaam AB, well I will not make you disappointed but who have said alcohol is forbidden? God point out in Quran that there are both negative and positive effects in both alcohol and hazard games. Peace Sis Maria Hello sister no I'm not diappointed, beacuse every human carry the onus of the self on the own neck yes I agree that the Quran stated that there is lil benifit to those two but the same verse stated that its harm is far more than its benifit and consequently it is forbidden and we should not come near it I used to gamble and I used to frink over 16 years ago, I relaized the lil good in it but I have also seen the huge harm in those two acts so both has topped for me and been classified as very bad to come near it peace be with you

Salam, 'aam in Arabic is commonly used as "a year". I know what it's used in Urdu since i speak urdu but ive taken Arabic classes at the Islamic University and hence know that 'aam is used generally for "a year". We cannot just equate a word which sounds similar in another language to mean the same even if that language is derived from the former since there are always slight and sometimes greater vaiations. This is known as the error of equivocation. Though 'aam in Arabic can also mean "common" that would be a 2ndary meaning. GOD Bless!

Salaam Sultana, sultana wrotePeace We essentially live in our hearts. Peace resides in our hearts and not in any particular place or building. We submit to Allah in our hearts and not through any ' physical form' of worship. We believe in the unseen hidden rahmath of allah as Allah commands us to have faith in. Mosques or masjids are not the places of worship for best place of worship is one's own heart. May our hearts be set at peace. Yes ,I can very much agree with you because you will attain peace in your heart first of all. But there can be public places you can attain peace in too like a mosque because who have said you must perform rituals in the mosque? Peace Sis Maria

. The People Of Authority are those who were appointed to set right our needs and affairs. In my house they were my parents when I was young; when they become old they entrust their responsibility with me. When I go out taking my helper or servant with me, he takes over certain responsibilities of mine. So I have to follow him when I place my trust in him. The people of authority are with regards to the worldly affairs upon whom we have placed our trust, next only to Allah. Look at the folowing verse "... and take counsel with them in the affair; so when you have decided, then place your trust in Allah; surely Allah loves those who trust." .

. The Quranic Way of Life Do not Follow the Majority Way of Life for if you read Quran we see a life of total contradiction to the life of the world. You might even be driven to the point of death in the course to become shaheedis. .
