Actually one of the very things that i got out of Islam was not to kill myself. Even when i turned atheist/agnostic, i still kind of carried that along. Do not commit suicide, God is merciful (429) Do not kill your children out of fear of financial burden (1731) Do not kill the soul except for a rightful reason (1733) don't kill yourself if you want something...a better life or your pains to go away kill not yourself out of fear of want! write down what would stop you from killing yourself...see you want it!! ALLAH sUffice me

The biggest problem, other than sectarian Islam in general, is the collusion of middle eastern leaders and/or rebel groups with USA/Israel. Russia is not too different, as I am concerned with the relationship between oligarch Roman Abramovich and Putin. In short, it seems to me that the Middle East as well as Asia are falling victim in the crossfire between the imperial Cold War superpower nations (USA/Israel and Russia).

Peace Bahman, You had entered Quran through 1736. You shall know that the chronology or the starting point for you to begin your journey on the Guidance, does not set out from 961 but from 1736, according to your own statement. 961 Rehearse in the Name of your God who Created. What shall be our understanding from the above ayat? How to understand this ayat? Why to understand this ayat? When to understand this ayat? Where shall I understand this ayat from? Some where you have to start to understand the ayat; that somewhere or some point is decided by Allah alone; there is no human conjured chronological way in this. Let us see each of the above questions as to what they mean by it? What do you understand from this ayat 961 I have to read and that is it. I have to read and memorise. I have to read and understand. I have to read, understand and remember. I have to read, understand, remember and recite. I have to read, understand, remember, recite and rehearse. I have to rehearse the command of Allah, and be a model myself In the Name of Allah, The Creator. Which is your chronological order by which you would like to follow the ayat 961 from the above; it is up to an individual's capacity where to start with and that which is decided only by Allah. If you ask me I will take the last one as the first one to begin with as Allah has given me interest in this line to use His Quran; none but Allah could cause such intimacy with Quran; so I am propelled into it by His Mercy. Since In The Name of Allah, the Creator I had started my life every new day He Creates for me as a new bliss and beautiful environment for my mind and soul, I say "All Glory Be To Allah, The God of the Creator of The Universes." By this I mean I have read this ayat, understood it, remembered it, recited it, rehearsing it without forgetting Him or to Praise His Glory. Thus my chronology starts with remembering Allah and praising His Glory. And before that I seek help from My Creator to save me from all evil, shaitan who would make me forget You or fail me in remembering You. Therefore, to me to attain the straight path from the Holy Reading is first to remember 1698. So when you rehearse the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaitan. Thus if you take Quran as your Guide given by the Merciful, then follow Allah, clearing yourself purified from shaitan. It is Allah who would cause and make the universes fall at your feet for you. He would raise you to the Throne of the Universes, upon the Arsh. The chronology is your ascent from the dust to the top. Unshackle from the clutches of shaitan pleading with Allah and In His Name start ascending to the throne by His Mercy and Benevolence. Thus the chronology to a believer is this "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed shaitan All glory be to you, the God of the Universes You are Most Benevolent; Most Merciful You are the Master who would honour me to the Throne Unto You is my obeisance; and Thine is my help Conduct me in The Loveliest Way - The Way You had shown to the Blessed ones; and Not of the way, whom you had left astray." Peace The Most Gracious.Teacher of the Quran.551-2 We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn? 54 17 22 32 40 Do not move your tongue to hasten it. It is we who will collect it into Quran. Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran. Then it is we who will explain it. 7516-19 My only teacher is God Alone and He is the one explains His messages. You may instruct those that can not read and write or don't have access to this screen. Quran is completion of all scriptures and essence of all messages is in 262 Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in God, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. If we believe in 1 and 2 but do not qualify for 3 can not be accepted . Zoroastrian have explained righteous Good taught Good act Good talk any body with any belief can be righteous but believing in God and Day of Judgement need proof for existence of God and then divinity of the book. That is the path I believe in Quran because I understood it and have verified for over 14 years by publishing it and asking "Produce one like it" Simple to understand Impossible to imitate we should let the people to do their own search and study and do not instruct them do it this way or that way. My search for avoiding multiple topic took me here that you explain order of revaluation. I have come here to find the truth and answer to my questions not how to read quran by your learning of your teachers. Please let us do our search, if you know why 96 is 1 and other chapter too please post it . Peace.

peace Scribbler, But in my all humbleness, I do not agree with their arguments since there seemed to be many flaws both logically and linguistically. And if I accept their rendition of Masjid Al-Haram to not mean a physical location, then it would clearly create a lot of contradictions with other verses of the Quran. Feel free to elaborate here http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9604467

I like all of these possible answers. It occurs to me also the possibility that it could also be referring to our duty of exposing and apprehending/removing the "heads" (leaders) of corrupt organizations and cutting them off from their unlawful means of operating/survival. Ahem, AIPAC. They will be wrought with cognitive dissonance and inner terror, but Allah won't destroy them--unlike the kool-aid that the Sunnis believe. It is up to believers to bring Israel and their proxies to justice through due process of law. Really, it makes you wonder if the manifesto of the kufar and related propaganda has intentionally been sandwiched into "hadith" and scholarly opinions. I like your understanding. salaam

IMPORTANT! When Science is Context Three Questions Show The Men of the Quranic Lot Story Are Heterosexual men not Homosexual men Introduction Today, there are many studies showing sexual orientation is not environmentally influenced, but rather individuals are born with a sexual orientation. See Parts I-IX Below Applying these studies as an element of context within the Quranic Lot story, the story shows a condemnation of lustful homosexual acts of heterosexual men, and not a condemnation of homosexual acts of homosexual men. In other words, and the thesis of this short article, the men of the Quranic Lot story are heterosexual men not homosexual men. To support this thesis, I will share three commonsensical questions that must be asked about the Quranic Lot story when these studies become part of the story's context. First Question The first question that must be asked when these studies become part of the context is found in the Quran verse 781. The verse states, ". . . with lust you approach men instead of women . . ." (Quran 781, M. Asad) As seen, this verse uses ?instead of.? This usage shows the men of the Quranic Lot story are heterosexual men. How? Because the question that must be asked with science as context Can homosexual men approach women ?instead of? men? Second Question The second question that must be asked when these studies become part of the context is found in the Quran verse 1178. The verse states, ". . . Said "O my people! these daughters of mine they are purer for you ! . . ." (Quran 1178, M. Asad) As seen, this verse states that Lot offered his daughters to these men. This offering shows the men of the Quranic Lot story are heterosexual men. How? Because the question that must be asked with science as context Would Lot offer homosexual men his daughters? Third Question The third question that must be asked when these studies become part of the context is found in the Quran verse 26166. The verse states, "keeping yourselves aloof from all the spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? . . ." (Quran 26166, M. Asad) As seen, this verse states God created spouses for these men. This creating of spouses for these men shows the men of the Quranic Lot story are heterosexual men. How? Because the question that must be asked with science as context Would God create women for homosexual men? Conclusion When science is context, these three questions are enough to rightly question the long held belief that the Quranic Lot story is a condemnation of homosexual acts of homosexual men rather than a condemnation of lustful homosexual acts of heterosexual men. • Does "Khamr" mean Wine or Intoxicants?

Peace sushi1992, I think you did not read carefully enough or I expressed myself poorly. I said that alcohol could be associated with khamr in Arabic due to its condition. These middle-eastern languages have a habit of using a word that describe its effects as noun. Khamr could thus be other drugs too and not necessarily only alcohol. The word or derivative root is used in a verse where it talks about women covering too. It is obvious that the word indicates the kind of state you turn into while consuming "khamr". Your mind is clouded and you cannot think straight and thus reducing the clarity of your Communion (salat) and you might ramble unwise things to The Lord. Wine was obviously a popular khamr in the past and is mentioned a lot in the Bible and Hafez the Persian poet wrote a lot about it (and strangely enough he wrote about praying and prayer mats too and despite wine being forbidden in "Islam&quot. But it has undesirable effects in some people such as aggression and many become "light-footed" if you understand what I mean. Khamr comes in Heaven too as per a verse in The Book, but its negative effects seem to have been removed then and only positive narcotic effects. I can wait until Heaven for khamr. God bless you Peace, I understand you more clearly now. I thought you're previous post was saying that it can be called alcohol but that's all. Thanks for the explanation. Yep I agree that you are discouraged from being intoxicated while performing salat, because you won't really have a clear conscious of what you're saying. Peace peace

Religious people are scary and we don't need to be "Muslim" . . we just need to be a "human being", as we used to be during our childhood. Absolutely agree on this!

Peace Two words were discussed in the post, KALB and SADR , many of the responses just rushed into explaining the "heart" without considering the use of these 2 words within the Quran. All lexicons and concordances we use were written very recently and will not compare with the use of a word within the Quran in bringing the exact meaning to such a word. The two words are used in the Quran in simple conversations and in matters where the verse communicates clearly without a hidden element , again rushing to call these Mutasaabihat is naive at its best. Please check all the application in the Quran. Rushing to call many verses in the Quran as metaphors has become a fashion for people who do not even know the definition of "metaphor". mmkhan, thanks for bringing up Fuada this is very relevant. But we both know its not the physical heart either. There is a difference. Lets discuss it. manoffaith , zulf , it is another level of understanding. God bless.
