Salaam all, isn't the purpose of the Hajj currently being fulfilled - even if you don't go on a pilgrimage to Macca and Medina? Tv's ,Article's , Internet e.t.c Is it really worth the bother of setting it up like in the days of abraham -even though these communications vehicles were not available then. Salaam

peace laytth (- The Quran uses "Masjid Haram" primarily to identify it as a "Qibla" (focal point), and that we should turn our faces towards it wherever we may be. ) 1 Could the "Masjid Harram" be the parlimentary body and the "Bayat Harram" house of parliment (institute)were the Parlimentary body sits. Bayat haram (house of parliment) is the kaba (base) were the Masjid Harram (parlimentary body) sit which in turn makes it the belivers QIBLA (focal point) to turn look towards for guiadance were ever we are. peace saleem

Peace All, I am just putting some points down for discussion and would like as much input as possible as I believe this issue might be nearing a closure... Some choice of translations Bayt is an "Institution" Hadi is "Donations" Qalaied is "Regulation" Shaier is "Decree/Awareness" Tawaf is "Partake/Serve" Ateeq is "Welfare" Qaim is "Enforce" Ameen is "Sanctuary/Preservation" The related verses "O you who believe, do not violate God?s decrees, nor the restricted month, nor the donations, nor what is regulated, nor the sanctuary made by the restricting institution; for they are seeking a bounty from their Lord and a blessing. And when it is permitted for you, then you may hunt. And let not the hatred of another people; because they had blocked you from the restricting Temple; make you aggress. And bond together in piety and righteousness, and do not bind together in sin and aggression. And be aware of God, for God's retribution is severe." (52) "O you who believe, do not kill any game while you are restricted; and whosoever of you kills it deliberately, then the recompense is to value what was killed against the livestock, which shall be judged by two equitable persons from you, and to make such as a donation to reach the Kaab?a. Or, its expiation shall be in using it to feed the needy ones, while he abstains from it; that is to suffer the results of his deed; God forgives what has past. And whosoever returns, then God will seek vengeance from him. God is Noble, capable of vengeance." (595) "God Has made the Kaab?a the restricting institution to be an enforcer for the people, and for the restricted month, and for the donations, and for regulation; that is so you know that God knows what is in heavens and what is in earth, and that God is aware of all things." (597) And We have revealed to Abraham the place to make the institution ?Do not set up anyone with Me, and purify My institution for those who will partake, and those who will enforce, and those who yield and submit.? And let the people hear about this through debate, for they will come to you walking and on every transport, they will come from every deep enclosure. "So that they may witness what benefits for themselves, and that they may mention God?s name in the appointed days over what He Has provided for them of the animal livestock. So eat from it and feed the needy and the poor. Then let them complete their duties and fulfill their vows, and let them partake at the institution of welfare. That, and whosoever honours God?s restrictions, then it is better for him with His Lord. And the livestock is made lawful for you except what is recited upon you. So avoid the foulness of idols and avoid saying false statements. Monotheists to God, not setting up anything with Him. And whosoever sets-up partners with God, then it is as if he has fallen from the sky and the birds snatch him or the wind takes him to a place far off. Thus, and whoever honours the decrees of God, then it is from the piety of the hearts. In them are benefits to an appointed time, then their place is to the institution of welfare. And for every nation We have made a rite that they may mention God?s name over what He has provided for them of the animal livestock. So your god is One god, thus to Him surrender, and give good tidings to those who obey. Those who, when God is mentioned, their hearts revere, and they are patient to what befalls them, and they hold the assembly, and from what We provide them they spend. And the animals used for offering, We have made them for you as decrees from of God, in them is goodness for you. So mention God?s name upon them while they are whole, so once their body becomes still, then eat from them and give food to the poor and the needy. It was thus that We have made them in service to you, that you may be thankful. Neither their meat nor their blood reaches God, but what reaches Him is the righteousness from you. It was thus that He made them in service to you, so that you may glorify God for what He has guided you to, and give news to the good doers." (2227-37) Layth

Peace all, In 595, would we read alnnaAAami or alnniAAami? Does the word ?al-anAAami? in 314, 6136, 4119 is a plural form? Does this word ?al-anAAami? exist in the singular form? Thanks Marie

Peace upon all, I have analysed the sentence structure of the verses containing the verb Haajja, I have noticed two common points (and / or) between these verses, the verb hajja concerns two interlocutors i) two groups or ii) two persons iii) a group and a person. The second point is the object of the discussion / the debate which is Allah, the scriptures, prophet Lets see the following verses (I quoted just a fragment of some verses) Then they would use it in argument against us at your Lord (276.) Liyuhaajjookum bihi AAinda rabbikum Do you debate with us regarding God (2139) Qul atuhaajjoonana fee Allahi Did the news come to you of the person who debated with Abraham regarding his Lord, (2258.) Alam tara ila allathee haajja ibraheema fee rabbihi If they debate with you, (320.) Fa-in haajjooka Whoever debates with you in this (361) Faman haajjaka feehi O people of the scripture, why do you debate us regarding Abraham (365) Ya ahla alkitabi lima tuhaajjoonafee ibraheema Here you have debated in what you knew; so why then do you debate in what you do not know? (366) Ha antum haola-i haajajtum feema lakum bihi AAilmun falima tuhaajjoona feemalaysa lakum bihi Aailmun See also 373, 680, 4216, 4047 About the verb hajja, there is any verse where the expression haaja albayt is used and there is a difference.between the verb hajja albayt and the verb haajja which is often accompanied by the letter BI (at) some things or FEE (about) some things (prophet, scriptures, God..), this characteristic is valid for the verb Jaadala fee (to discuss, to dispute, about truth, Allah, His verses). The verb Haajja can also be in the pronominal form (ex yatahajjoona fee alnnari = they argue (between them) in Hell 40 47) Alhajj shall be observed in the appointed / specified months / in the months which have been marked (2197). The fast is decreed in the month of Ramadan, it is a specified month because Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people, clear teachings, and the statute book / the criterion (2185) If one knows the exact date of the revelation of Quran, this mystery would be solved. Salat is also decreed / prescribed for the believers at specific times (4 103). The number of these appointed months is at least equal to 3 and this is God who specifies them. I think the answer is in the Quran and We will find it inchallah with the help of God. Hajj shall be observed in the appointed / specified months, Whoever sets out to observe Hajj shall refrain from sexual intercourse, misconduct, and arguments throughout Hajj. (2197) Alhajju ashhurun maAAloomatun faman farada feehinna alhajja fala rafatha wala fusooqa wala jidala fee alhajji The new moons are a timing device for the alhajj (2189), but there are not sufficient to determine these specified months. They ask you regarding the new moons, say They are a timing mechanism for the people as well as for the alhajj (Pilgrimage). (2189) Yas-aloonaka AAani al-ahillati qul hiya mawaqeetu lilnnasi waalhajji Alhajja, alAAumrata are for God (2196) as salat (6 162) And complete alhajja (the Pilgrimage) and alAAumrata (the visit) for God, if you cannot, then make what is easy of alhadyi (the animal sacrifice), and do not shave your heads until alhadyu (the animal sacrifice) reaches its destination. (2196) Waatimmoo alhajja wa alAAumrata lillahi fa-in ohsirtum fama istaysara mina alhadyi wala tahliqoo ruoosakum hattayablugha alhadyu mahillahu There is a continuity in time between alAAumrati and alhajji (2196) If you are secure, then whoever continues alAAumrati (the visit) until alhajji (the Pilgrimage), then he shall provide what he can of alhadyi (the animal sacrifice). As for he who cannot find anything, then he must fast for three days during alhajji (the Pilgrimage) and seven when he returns; this will make a complete ten; this is for those whose family do not live near the restricted masjid (Temple). ( 2196) fa-itha amintum famantamattaAAa bialAAumrati ila alhajji famaistaysara mina alhadyi faman lam yajid fasiyamuthalathati ayyamin fee alhajji wasabAAatin itharajaAAtum tilka AAasharatun kamilatun thalika limanlam yakun ahluhu hadiree almasjidi alharami We dont know the nature of alhajji but alhadyu must reach its destination ..and do not shave your heads until alhadyu (the animal sacrifice) reaches its destination (2 196) wala tahliqoo ruoosakum hattayablugha alhadyu mahillahu They are the ones who rejected and barred you from the restricted masjid (Temple), and alhadya (your offerings) (is) barred from reaching their destination (4825) Humu allatheena kafaroo wasaddookumAAani almasjidi alharami waalhadya maAAkoofan an yablugha mahillahu The destination of alhady is the Kaaba (5 95) From 5 95, I could understand that alhady (offerings) is the equivalent from the livestock which one under restriction kills deliberately, offered (hadyan) to the Kaaba. (the restricted bayt 597) Alhady is as alhadiyya which is a gift offered to somebody (27 35-36) O you who believe, do not kill any game while you are hurumun (under restriction); and whosoever of you kills it deliberately, then the recompense shall be the equivalent from the livestock he killed, to be judged by two equitable people among you, (as) hadyan (offered / offerings) which shall reach the Kaaba, or, kaffaratun (expiation) by feeding poor people, or an equivalent of this/ a compensation of this / to redeem, by fasting to atone for his offense. (5 95) Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola taqtuloo alssayda waantum hurumun waman qatalahu minkum mutaAAammidan fajazaon mithlu maqatala mina alnnaAAami yahkumu bihi thawaAAadlin minkum hadyan baligha alkaAAbati aw kaffaratun taAAamu masakeena aw AAadlu thalika siyaman liyathooqa wabala amrihi If kaffaratun is in connection with the word hadyan, grammatically The word kaffara must be written in this way kaffaratan like hadyan instead of kaffaratun. Consequently, kaffaratun is the second possibility of the recompense (jazaon). or an equivalent of this, by fasting = aw AAadlu thalika siyaman is the third possibility of the recompense (jazaon) I think that aw AAadlu thalika siyaman = or an equivalent of this / compensation of this / to redeem, by fasting in 5 95 and fafidyatun min siyamin = then you may redeem by fasting in 2 196 are similar. In both cases the number of the fasting days is not specified. Fidyatun could be translated by compensation (2 184) or to redeem (2 196) Aaadlu(n) is also translated by compensation (2 48, 2 123) Do not kill any game while you are hurumun (under restriction) (5 95) and particularly the catch of the land (596) Lawful for you is the catch of the sea, to eat it as enjoyment for you and for those who travel; and forbidden for you is the catch of the land as long as you are under restriction; and be aware of God to whom you will be gathered. Ohilla lakum saydu albahriwataAAamuhu mataAAan lakum walilssayyaratiwahurrima AAalaykum saydu albarri ma dumtum huruman waittaqoo Allaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona In 5 97 the Kaaba is the restricted Bayt and and I insist on these two words alhadya (not alhuda = guidance) and qiyaaman (not maqaam). 5 97 God Has made the Kaaba the restricted Bayt (Shrine / House), as qiyaman (a place of gathering) for the people, and the restricted month, and alhadya (offerings), and alqala-ida (the garlands marking them / what is tagged) that is so you know that God knows what is in heavens and what is in earth, and that God is aware of all things. JaAAala Allahu alkaAAbata albayta alharama qiyaaman lilnnasi waalshshahra alharama wa alhadya wa alqala-ida thalikalitaAAlamoo anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi waanna Allaha bikullishay-in AAaleemun Alhadya and alqala-ida are quoted at the same time (5 2, 5 97) Maqaam means a place of residence (1437, 2125, 397), a place (5107, 2739, 37164), a position, rank, situation, (1071, 1779, 1973), stay, dwelling (1071, 2658, 4426, 4451) Lord majesty (1414, 5546, 7940) Qiyaam and alqiyaamati has a common root. Alqiyamati means the Day of Resurrection. On this Day we will be returned together to God / rising in front of God. It is also the Day of Summoning / Meeting (yawm aljamAAi, yawm alttalaqi). This is a revocation from God and His messenger to those with whom you have made a treaty from among those who have set-up partners. Therefore, roam the land for four months and know that you will not escape God, and that God will humiliate the rejecters. Faseehoo fee al-ardi arbaAAataashhurin waiAAlamoo annakum ghayru muAAjizee Allahiwaanna Allaha mukhzee alkafireena And a declaration from God and His messenger to the people on the great day of alhajji (pilgrimage) / on the day of the extended Hajj (Pilgrimage) That God and His messenger are innocent from all those who set-up partners. If you repent, then it is better for you, and if you turn away, then know that you will not escape God. And give news to those who have rejected of a painful retribution. Waathanun mina Allahiwarasoolihi ila alnnasi yawma alhajjial-akbari anna Allaha baree-on mina almushrikeenawarasooluhu fa-in tubtum fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-in tawallaytumfaiAAlamoo annakum ghayru muAAjizee Allahiwabashshiri allatheena kafaroo biAAathabin aleemin Except for those with whom you had a treaty from among those who have set-up partners if they did not reduce anything from it nor did they plan to attack you; you shall continue the treaty with them until its expiry. God loves the righteous. Illa allatheena AAahadtummina almushrikeena thumma lam yanqusookum shay-an walam yuthahirooAAalaykum ahadan faatimmoo ilayhim AAahdahum ilamuddatihim inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeena Here, The restricted months are probably successive and not isolated months. 95. So when the restricted months are passed, then you may kill those who have set-up partners wherever you find them, and take them, and surround them, and stand against them at every point. If they repent, and hold the assembly, and contribute towards betterment, then you shall leave them alone. God is Forgiving, Merciful. Fa-itha insalakha al-ashhuru alhurumufaoqtuloo almushrikeena haythu wajadtumoohum wakhuthoohumwaohsuroohum waoqAAudoo lahum kulla marsadinfa-in taboo waaqamoo alssalatawaatawoo alzzakata fakhalloo sabeelahum innaAllaha ghafoorun raheemun And if any of those who have set-up partners seeks your protection, then you may protect him so that he may hear the words of God, then send him back to his place of security. This is because they are a people who do not know. Wa-in ahadun mina almushrikeena istajaraka faajirhu hatta yasmaAAa kalama Allahithumma ablighhu ma/manahu thalika bi-annahum qawmun layaAAlamoona How can those who have set-up partners have a pledge with God and with His messenger? Except for those with whom you made a pledge near the restricted Masjid (Temple), as long as they are upright with you, then you are upright with them. God loves the righteous. Kayfa yakoonu lilmushrikeena AAahdun AAindaAllahi waAAinda rasoolihi illa allatheena AAahadtumAAinda almasjidi alharami fama istaqamoolakum faistaqeemoo lahum inna Allaha yuhibbualmuttaqeena It was not for those who have set-up partners to frequent (maintain) Gods masjids (temples) while they bear witness over their own rejection. For these, their works have fallen, and in the Fire they will abide. Ma kana lilmushrikeena anyaAAmuroo masajida Allahi shahideena AAalaanfusihim bialkufri ola-ika habitataAAmaluhum wafee alnnari hum khalidoona Rather, the masajida (Temples) of God are frequented ( maintained) by he who believes in God and the last day, and he observe the salat, and he gives the zakat, and he does not fear except God. It is these that will be of the guided ones. Innama yaAAmuru masajida Allahi man amana biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiriwaaqama alssalata waataalzzakata walam yakhsha illa AllahafaAAasa ola-ika an yakoonoo mina almuhtadeena The verse 919 is in the logical continuation of the verse 93 where God and his messenger made a proclamation to the people on the great day of alhajji (hajju albayt) That God and His messenger are innocent from all those who set-up partners. Have you made the watering of alhaajji (the pilgrim) and the frequentation (maintenance) of the restricted almasjidi (Temple) the same as one who believes in God and the last day and he strives in the cause of God? They are not the same with God. And God does not guide the wicked people. AjaAAaltum siqayata alhaajji wa AAimaarata almasjidi alharami kaman amanabiAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri wajahada fee sabeeli Allahi la yastawoona AAinda AllahiwaAllahu la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena On the form, Alhaajj is from the verb hajja as AlAAakif (the dweller 2225, 2125) from the verb AAakafa, albaadi (the visitor 2225), al-tta-if (the visitor 2125) from the verb taafa / yatoofu / tatawwafu, al-ttawaaf Kaafin (sufficient 3936) from the verb kafaa, yakfee (to suffice), haadin (a guide 3936) from hadaa (to guide), alhudaa (guidance) Saa-il (is he who ask) from sa-ala (to ask 701), Ghaafir (Forgiver 403) from ghafara (to forgive)etc I think Muhtaj (protestor) is he who ihtajja (to dispute) or haajja (in) or (at) some things (to argue against, to dispute&#8230. It is as mushrik who set-up parteners = ashraka Alhaajj is he who hajja albayt or perform alhajj i e hajju albayt. Alhaajj (the subject) hajja (the verb) alhajj (the adverb) Those who believed and emigrated and strived in the cause of God with their wealth and their lives are in a greater degree with God. These are the winners. Allatheena amanoo wahajaroowajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi bi-amwalihimwaanfusihim aAAthamu darajatan AAinda Allahi waola-ika humu alfa-izoona God asked the prophet ..and argue / debate (jaadilhum) with them with that which is better.. =.. wa jaadilhum biallatee hiya ahsanu.. (16125) and not haajijhum like hajajtum (they dispute or debate without knowledge) in the verse 366 which is another form from the verb haajja. One could discuss, debate, argue without proof or without knowledge (jaadala about Allah or His verses 4035, 4056, 223) The count of the months with God is twelve months and four of them are restricted 936. The count of the months with God is twelve months in Gods record the day He created the heavens and the earth; four of them are restricted. This is the correct system; so do not wrong yourselves in them; and fight those who set-up partners collectively as they fight you collectively. And know that God is with the righteous.
