What is the nature of God?

I don't know what God obtains from creation either. God owns everything and God knows everything. All I know is that we have been made and we must save our souls first and then ask these questions at God - hope I made sense.

By Mohammad Rafique Etesame Every year when 12 rabi-ul-awwal comes, a community of Muslim celebrates Eid meelad-un-Nabi PBUH i.e. ‘Eid of birth day’ of the holy Prophet PBUH and they take out processions to the market and bazars, with music and a statue of the shrine of the holy Prophet PBUH by some processions also. The question is whether all this is permissible in Islam and whether the holy Prophet PBUH and his companions and those who came after them, celebrated Eid meelad-un-Nabi PBUH? So, assuredly not, but reality is that, almost one thousand years after the passing away of the holy Prophet PBUH, we do not find such type of example in history. https//youtu.be/dC-KgFI3y6U In principle, this is an occasion of great happiness and good luck for every Muslim but, how to celebrate it, so scholars differ in this issue. The best way of it is, to recite Drood Sharif more and more on the holy Prophet PBUH, and to mention the good attributes of him and also to intend firmly to follow the uswai-hasana i.e. the good example of the holy Prophet PBUH. And it can be witnesses for years that, those who celebrate Eid meelad-un-Nabi PBUH in this occasion by taken out processions, have not changed themselves according to the Islamic teachings yet. https//cdn.modernghana.com/images/content/yet2xkj77q_islam.jpg Purpose of life and the right solution of depression and other problems By Mohammad Rafique Etesame The holy Qur’an makes mentions, “Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things. ﴾1﴿ Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving” ( Surah al Mulk2). These verses reveal the purpose of life of human being that Allah Almighty tests him that which of them does good deeds? Now the question is what are the good deeds, because people relating to other religion, have the differing point of view about them. But, only those good deeds will be accepted that are done according to the teachings of Islam. The holy Qur’an makes mention, “For, if one goes in search of a religion other than self-surrender unto God, it will never be accepted from him, and in the life to come he shall be among the lost” (Al-Imran (The Family of Imran) 385). Allah Almighty sent His holy messengers (peace and mercy of Allah be upon him) to tell the people about the good deeds, they practically explained by setting up a goodly pattern and guided their people about them. Now the question is why a Muslim is being tested? The answer is because a believer faces many problems and different state of affairs in his life, for example, sometimes he is a poor one and sometimes a rich, and sometimes he is upset due to be an unemployment or sick etc. And along with it, Satan Iblis and inordinate soul are behind him, they try their best at every time to mislead him from the right path. Now, he is carried out in trial that how can he faces these problems besides worshipping Allah Almighty? Notable that accepting good deeds are conditioned by good faith, it means that, first the man should put faith in Allah and then verify the Prophet hood of the holy Prophets PBUT and particularly believe in Mohammad PBUH; now he is a Muslim and his good deeds will be excepted. In another way, man is tested as the holy Qur’an makes mention, “And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, who say, when a misfortune strikes them Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2155 These verses reveal that Allah Almighty tests man by afflicting him in fear, hunger and in other problems, but glad tiding have been given to those who have patience over them and are successful ones. So, these calamities are the part of life and man should not worry about them and should not be despair the mercy of Allah Almighty.

This is the religious practice of living apart from the world, usually secluded in a community of like-minded people, to avoid sin and grow closer to God.” This is the specific way adopted by some people in order to grow closer to God, as regards the religion of Islam, so it is against it as a hadith of the holy Prophet PBUH reveals as - Anas declared that God’s messenger used to say, “Do not impose austerities on yourselves and so have God imposing austerities on you; for people have imposed austerities on themselves and God has imposed austerities on them. Their survivors are to be found in cells and monasteries.” , “Monasticism, they invented it; we did not prescribe it for them” ( Al-Hadid 5727). The question is what does a man do to become a monastic? So, there are many ways to become a Monastic or Monk but a common thing is that he does not marry so that he may separate himself or herself from society either by living as a hermit or anchorite (religious recluse) or by joining a community. But the best way to get oneself closer to God is, to accept Islam and to act upon its teachings. In this way a faithful believer, not only can fulfills his natural desires or other requirements i.e. to get married, eating delicious foods and drinks, having children and to pass a luxury life etc. And also he can gets himself closer to God along with it. Also he can attain the highest position of spirituality in the best manner than the Monasticism or Monkhood. But Some Monastics, Monks and those who left social life and take refuge in jungle, mountains or caves, they claim that they do hard exercises to gain high spiritual places. But if considered, then it becomes clear that living in the society and act upon the teachings of Islam is more difficult than these exercises. Reason is that, when a man gets used to any hard work and toil in any circumstances, then, by and by this work becomes a feature of his nature and he feels no difficulty to do it. For example, if you see someone walks on ice even in winter season, or eats leafs of a tree as his food, or uses any other abnormal foods, then people become surprise to see him, while it is his routine work. On the other hand, when a believer who passes a routine life in society and eats every delicious food and drink, meanwhile, the month of Ramadan falls. Now he is bound to stop himself from eating, drinking and fulfilling sexual desire at least for sixteen to twenty hours more or less, except in the time of ‘suhor’ when he begins his fast or when he breaks his fast at evening’ this is for a month. So, actually, this is difficult because this is not his routine habit. Similarly, offering prayers for five times daily regularly both in summer and winter season particularly when he is busy in his business or service, as the holy Qur’an reveals,” Seek help in patience and prayer; and truly it is hard save for the humble-minded, Who know that they will have to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are returning” ﴾Al-Baqarah 46﴿. And along with it, to become safe from unlawful earnings and other bad acts like telling a lie, betrayal to others and adultery etc. These acts are not impossible but difficult, also paying all the rights and duties to his wife, children and of other people, all these acts are difficult than Monasticism and other hard exercises of None-Muslims like Sadhu and Guru others. So, the best way to get real spiritual purity and pleasure of God is, to join Islam and act upon its teachings.

Mohammad Rafique Etesame According to the teachings of Islam, the purpose of life of human being is the worship of Allah Almighty and He is responsible for his sustenance and other needs of life. He sent His Holly Messengers (Peace and mercy of Allah be upon them) to the people to guide their Ummah as to how they worship? They established a good example by acting upon the commands of Allah Almighty and lead their Ummah to the way of salvation i.e. the religion of Islam. Now it is necessary to everyone and particularly those who do not believe in God that they should recognize Allah Almighty to follow His commandments so that they may be successful in this world and also in the Hereafter. Now the question is how can one recognize Allah Almighty because He is invisible and no one can feel His existence? So there are two ways for this purpose- (1) First is to consider in the horizontal signs. (2) Second is to consider in the signs of man’s own soul. The Holy Qur’an reveals,” We shall show them our portents on the horizon and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the truth. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things?” (Fusilat53) It is clear that if someone considers over the creation of the universe, the skies, the Earth, the Sun, the Moon, the stars, the Planets and how they do motion? Then he/she can surely recognize Allah Almighty. The Holy Qur’an reveals,”Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of night and day, and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to man, and the water which Allah sendeth down from sky, there by reviving the earth after its death, and dispersing all kinds of beasts therein, and (in) the ordinance of the winds, and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth are signs (of Allah’s sovereignty) for people who have sense. “(Al-Baqarah164) We see that the Sun rises from the East and sets in the West for centuries. It has not been seen so far that the Sun, sometimes rises from the west or from the South or the North rather than the East. Similarly, we see that the Sun, the Moon, the stars and the Planets, never overtake to each other or knock to each other. Reason is that Allah Almighty Has fixed their ways for motion as the Holy Qur’an reveals,”And the sun runneth on unto a resting place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise. And for the moon We have appointed measuring till she return like an old shriveled palm-leaf. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.” (Yassen40) Please read these about the signs of Allah’s existence- . He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected). . And among His Signs is this, that He created you (Adam) from dust, and then , - behold you are human beings scattered! . And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect. . And among His Signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colors. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge. . And among His Signs is the sleep that you take by night and by day, and your seeking of His Bounty. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who listen. . And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, by way of fear and hope, and He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and therewith revives the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who understand. . And among His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command, then afterwards when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (i.e from your graves for reckoning and recompense) Ar-Rum 3025. These are some horizontal signs and as regards the signs in the “nafs” so the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that the one who had recognized himself, could recognize Allah Almighty (Al-Mishkat). It means that if one considers into his creation that how did he come into being? Because he was only a drop of thickened fluid at first. And then he remained in the womb of mother for a fixed period, then he was delivered in this world and was at that time a very small baby, then by and by he became young and strong, and then he became an old man. The Holy Qur’an reveals,” Has there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered? Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing.” (Ad-dahar2) Therefore, in order to become the successful one and to be entered the Paradise at the Day of Resurrection, the man should recognize God, Allah the most high and have faith in Him by considering the above mentioned signs and by following all of His commands. Ameen.

Two and Two Make only “one” and not four? welcome Muhammad Rafique Etesame Allah, the high Exalted and the highest is the only One having no partner as the holy Qur’an reveals,” Say He is Allah, the One! Allah, the eternally besought of all. He begetteth not nor was begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him” (Al-Ikhlas). And except Him, there is the system of “two and two” in the entire universe. It means every living creature has been created by two parts or two ingredients. And the twain parts are vitally important to each other for their existence. And in case, if first one is not, then second one is nothing any way. As detail, body and soul, engine and body of car bus, motor and electric power (for any type of electrical equipment), key and lock etc. And also we see that every engine consists of more than two parts at first, and then entire parts move by fixing into each other and making a “chain” of two and two. In short, Allah is the One, the Living and the Eternal, and established by His own power not by any other’s help or back. And, the entire creation is made by two parts or pairs as, the holy Qur’an reveals,” He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride”. (Az-Zukhruf 12) This universe is also created by two parts i.e. the Heaven and the Earth as the holy Qur’an reveals,” Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth, Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said We come, obedient. Then He ordained them seven heavens in two days and inspired in each heaven its mandate. (Hameem As-Sajdah 11) (Also See the Big Bang Theory) According to the commentators, Allah intended to create the universe by meeting the Heaven and the Earth, when they met, then the Earth heated up by the Sun and it created steam that rose up to the heaven and then clouds were created by it, and then it rained. And from it the earth produced greenery and other productions for the life of human beings and others living creatures. Look, how the greatness and the oneness of Allah is! That except Him, there is the system of two and two in the entire creation. As mentioned before that every single part of the two, (both living creatures or any inventions) is Essential to other one for its existence. For example, body of an animal or human being is compulsory and inevitable to its soul, because no soul cannot come into being without a body. The same applies in the body and machinery, as the body is useless without machinery or engine, after meeting or joining the two, a “complete one” comes into being. Now I come to the real point, necessity and the invention is another variety of “two and two”, as it is said that “necessity is the mother of invention.” So, we begin to apply this reality from human being because he has been created only for the worship of Allah the highest as the holy Qur’an reveals,” I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. Lo! Allah! He is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of Unbreakable might”. (Az-zariyat 5 Therefore, worship is necessity and man is the invention to fulfill it, both are the “two units” and compulsory for each one. And this is the universal truth that if the invention does not meet to its necessity, then it is quite useless, and if it is a machinery, then it turns into scrap. As it is mentioned that man is a combination of two parts body and soul physically, and he is also a combination of ‘two’ i.e. necessity and the invention spiritually. And if he wants to be exist for a luxury and everlasting life, then it is necessary to him that he should meet his second part or unit (necessity). And if it is so, i.e. he worships to Allah Almighty, then he will get the great reward as the holy Qur’an reveals,” Whosoever does right, whether male or female, and is a believer, him verily We shall quicken with good life, and We shall pay them a recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do” (An-Nahal 97). And,” A similitude of the Garden which those who keep their duty (to Allah) are promised Therein are rivers of milk whereof the flavor changes not, and rivers of wine delicious to the drinkers, and rivers clear-run honey, therein for them is every kind of fruit, with pardon from their Lord.” (Mohammad 15) And, on the other hand, if he does not meet, then a painful doom will be his fate and he will become a dead one forever as the holy Qur’an reveals, “And they sought help (from their Lord) and every forward potentate was brought to naught; Hell is before him, and he is made to drink a festering water which he snippets but can hardly sallow, and death comes unto him from every side while yet he cannot die, and before him is a harsh doom.” (Ibrahim 17) May Allah give us power to fulfill of purpose of life (necessity), so that we may enjoy an everlasting and luxury life, Amin.

https//storage.nu.or.id/storage/post/16_9/mid/15356740545b8886c69fae0.jpg Real meaning of Tawakkul (Putting trust in God) By Mohammad Rafique Etesame Almighty Allah Says in the holy Quran, “And whosoever putts his trust in Allah, He will suffice him” (At-Talaq 3), also Says, “In Allah let believers put their trust” (Al-Maidah 11). According to the teachings of Islam, every faithful believer should put his trust in Allah Almighty every time and in every event. Human being is a weak and helpless creature and seeks someone who can support him and can solve his problems. So, Allah Almighty is the best Supporter and the best Helper of a faithful believer as the above mentioned verses reveal. He is the absolute King of the universe and is able to do all things and nothing can be done without His will and command. If He wants someone to profit him, then there is none to loss him, and if He wants to loss anyone, then there is none to profit him. So it is necessary to a faithful believer to put his trust always in Allah Almighty and make Him a Protecting Friend. This is the Divine law that every work and need of human being is fulfilled by some sources and means. For example, Allah has promised for provision to mankind, but it can be had only by striving i.e. by business, service or by someone’s help, though Allah can send it down directly from the heaven, but it is against His law. But the real meaning of tawakkul is that human being should put his trust in always Allah although he does not find any apparent sources for his requirements. Because Allah is the Causer of causes, and the One who can causes things to be done. His decree is first, then it is decided that by which means it will be enforced. So a faithful believer should make a supplication to Allah Almighty asking for his needs and desires and should not think about their apparent origins. Then Allah will meet to his need according to His wisdom and expediency. The holy Quran reveals, “But His command, when He intends a thing, is only that he says unto it Be! And it is” (ya Sin 82).

In the Qur'an we see our Creator asking His servants questions. Because of this, some people raise objections such as, "Doesn't Allah already know everything, why does He ask?" Of course God Almighty knows everything. Even what will happen in the future. The reason He asks questions is not to learn, but to give His servants what they deserve and to make them live. A question is not necessarily asked to learn. 1- It is also asked in order to give that person an experience they deserve. 2- Questions are also asked to strengthen expression, to make one think, to give a message, etc. Aside from that, Allah is already making us experience what we deserve and confronting us with ourselves in this 2-day summary test life. The afterlife itself is based on such "questions whose outcome is known to Allah". Because our Almighty Lord already knows very well what we would do if we were to live in this world forever, and He makes us live a 2-day sample test life that summarizes this. In my work titled "Destiny and Free Will", I analyzed this in the light of verses. Al-Baqarah 260 Remember when Abraham cried out "My Lord, show me, how do you raise the dead?" "Did you not believe?" he asked. "I believed," he said, "but only to satisfy my heart..." Allah said "Take four of the birds and make them warm and accustomed to you. Then place a piece of them on every mountain. Then call them. They will come to you running. Know that Allah is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. These are all experiences that serve the plan of making people face the truth and themselves. And questions are part of it. This way you have no right to object in the Hereafter. Surah A'raf 12 Allah said "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" Iblis said "I am better than him, you created me from the fire, and you created him from mud." Here again, our Lord gives His creation the experience it deserves. He knew that Iblis was one of the evil ones and this had to be revealed. So far Iblis had been doing whatever he was told to do, but Allah knew that he would not do so if He confronted him with the option of prostrating himself to Adam, so Allah brought this test to him. In other words, he was confronted with the evil in his heart and the necessary evidence against him was revealed. Iblis realizes that he has been trapped and says the following He said "I swear by You that You have tempted me, that I will be set upon Your straight path to lead them astray." When Iblis says, "for you have tempted me," he is referring to this entrapment. Because Allah knew well what Iblis would not do with free will and where he would show his true face, Allah made sure that this Iblis would be put to the test where he would display his evil and show his cruelty. In short, our Lord is not asking a question here to learn something, but rather to teach and make him experience something. In other words, He gives them what they deserve... Saba-40. On the Day when He gathers them all together, He will say to the angels, "Were these the ones who worshipped you? Saba-41. They said, 'You are the Exalted, our guardian (friend) is You, not them. No, they were worshipping the jinn. Many believed in them.' Here again, Allah does not ask what He does not know, He knows best. Again, He gives His servants the experience they deserve. He also explains in these verses how jinns and devils mislead people disguised as angels, spirits, etc. and warns people against these tricks. Surat al-Ma'idah 116 Allah also said "O Jesus son of Mary! Did you tell the people that they should take me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?" Jesus said "Glory be to You. It is not for me to say what I have no right to say. If I have said it, surely You know it. You know what is in me, but I do not know what is in you. For You, yes You, are the One who knows the unseen!" In the same way, our Lord is not asking the Prophet Jesus here out of curiosity, He knows the answer, and He knows exactly what Jesus will answer. Also examples of questions that our Creator asks to strengthen the expression and to make His servants think ANBIYA (30) Have not those who disbelieve seen that when the heavens and the earth were joined together, We separated them and created from water all that is alive? Will they still not believe? SURAH FATIR Have you not seen that Allah sends down water from the sky? With it We bring forth crops of various colors. Even the mountains have layers of white, red or colored layers. Some roads are black. Likewise, people, animals and livestock are of various colors. It is for this reason that it is the scientists among His servants who honor ALLAH properly. ALLAH is Exalted, Forgiving SURAH TUR 35. Or were they created without anything, or are they themselves the creators? or did they create the heavens and the earth? No, they do not have access to the necessary knowledge! or are the treasures of your Lord with them, or are they the owners of power and sovereignty? As I have said, the fact that our Almighty Lord tests us in this world is actually a "confrontation of the servants with themselves", the outcome of which is known to Him. In this way, not only do the servants have no right to object in the Hereafter, but they also taste some small punishments and rewards in this world. The ships that sail in the sea like high mountains are among His signs. If He willed, He could stop the wind, so that they would remain on it. Verily, in this are indeed signs for him who is patient and thankful (Surah 42 Shura, 32-33). The message of the verse is clear. If we can do something in this life, or if something happens, there is a reason for it. If that which makes it happen is removed, then that work-occurrence also ceases to exist. Nowadays, whether the ships are powered by solar energy or not. Again nothing changes. This time, if the sun's light is stopped, if the sunlight doesn't reach our world, our ship is left stranded. Or if the ship moves with oars, if the laws of physics that enable movement in this way are eliminated, the ship will be immobilized. Of course, what is described here applies to all areas of life. Or if one of the elements necessary for life to continue is removed, there is no life on our planet. If the laws of physics that keep an airplane or a bird in the air are removed, they cannot fly. Surah Nahl 79 Have they not looked at the birds in the void of the sky, subjugated to a command? None holds them except Allah. Surely in this are traces-signs for a people who believe. In short, the "sailing ship" in Surat al-Shura refers to both "the sailing ship", "all other technological means", and "all the things we do or have done" in our lives. By giving a small part of the whole, the whole is brought into view. Yasin And We have created for them other things like ships that they may ride on. Everything that we think we do or that we think happens spontaneously can actually happen through the order that Allah has created and/or other things that He has created. Or, in other words, they are directly realized and created by our Lord. Surah Vakia And certainly you know your first creation. Then why do you think! What about the seed you sow! Do you bring it to completion, or is it We who bring it to completion? And if We had willed, We could have made it a dry stubble, and you would have been babbling in confusion "Surely we are much in loss!" "Indeed we are utterly deprived!" And what about the water you drank! Did you send it down from the cloud, or did We send it down? And if We had willed, We could have made it bitter water, so be thankful! What about the fire which you kindled! Did you create its tree, or did We create it? We have made it a sign and a source of benefit for those who dwell in desolate places. So glorify the name of your Lord, the Exalted. 75, 76. I swear by the places of the stars - this is indeed a great oath, if you know Another example similar to the immobilization of ships is given for human beings in Surah Al-Baqarah The lightning will almost strike away their eyes, and whenever He gives them light, they walk in it, and when darkness falls upon them, they are immobilized, and if Allah had willed, He would certainly have taken away their hearing and their eyes, for Allah is All-Powerful. O mankind, worship your Lord, Who created you and those before you, so that you may be protected. And He has made for you the earth as a mattress and the heavens as a building, and He has sent down water from the sky, and with it He has brought forth for you a sustenance of fruits and crops, so do not associate partners with Allah while you know. We are able to realize what is called science and technology thanks to the laws of physics established by Allah and the wisdom and knowledge He has given us. In short, both natural and technological blessings are all the work of Allah. Past, present and future... Surah Nahl 8 He has created horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride and as an ornament. And He creates what else you do not know. Surat al-Nahl 81 Allah has created for you shade from what He has created. He has made for you houses of shelter from the mountains. He has also made for you garments to protect you from the heat and garments to protect you in battle. This is how He completes His blessing upon you, so that you may submit to Him and attain peace. It was already programmed in our destiny that people will discover and use what and when. In fact, all this is for us to face ourselves in our 2-day test life, to see what we deserve in the Hereafter, and to taste some small rewards or punishments in this world Surah Al-Jaziya 22 And Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. So that every soul may be brought face to face with what it has earned, without anyone being wronged. Surah Najm 31 Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth belongs to Allah. This is so that Allah may punish those who do evil by their deeds and reward those who do good and think well. Allah's continuous creation of things over and over again is perceived by humans as if it were a mechanical order that occurs spontaneously, when in fact it is the direct creation of Allah Surat al-Naml 64 Or is He better who begins to create and then creates again and again, and watches over you and provides for you from the earth? Is there a god besides Allah? Say "Bring your evidence, if you are truthful." Surat al-Ankabut 19 Have they not seen how Allah begins creation, then repeats it again and again?
