What is the nature of God?

From what my brain could analyze from reading, well, God is juste. If you do wrong stuff you will be punished if you do good stuff you will be rewarded. If one do not believe but do good deeds, i dunno what will happen to them. I think that as they reject God during their whole life and test, then it's blank, i dunno what else.

that is something i struggle with- the Quran says a number of times that there are men and women who will simply not believe in God- they wish for the stars to realign themselves and spell out a clear message, when the Quran indicates that the natural world, human intellect, ect. are clear enough signs for those who wish to consider Allah. there are also examples of those who argue "if God wanted us to believe in Him, we would!" and i used this argument for a long time myself. Peace enquirer Before I begin I have to say my knowledge on evolution and scientific facts and theories on the origination of life is limited hence if i say something incorrect or i miss something out, please forgive me and correct me or inform me. In response to "why cant i say that energy originated all these things as it has always existed....I mean if you say god is eternal and the originator then you admit something can exist which either doesnt need 'originating' or that is eternal in one form or another....." You can say energy has always been existant but is it not more logical to say that God has always existed. For (If i'm not mistaken {please correct me if i am}) Energy has no intellect or purpose and therefore for it to be the highest source, thing or originator of all things it does not appear to be as logical as there being something or some other source above energy itself which has authority over all things and events including random ones. With regards to your points on the harmony of the Universe. In some cases i think that mankind has been granted the abillity to solve certain issues such as finding a cure for AIDS and Cancer. There are many people in our planet. Out of all these i believe that there have been many individuals who were gifted with the potential to find a cure for cancer or other diseases. I believe that right now there is an individual who has the potential to find a cure for cancer. My theory is that due to the bad characteristics and failures of manking as a nation and due to the fact that mankind chooses not to unite and attempt to be one big community, the consequence of this is poverty and unequality amongst countries. This in my opinion, results in the potential of many individuals which could have done great things to be wasted. I believe that this is the mistake of mankind. Peace, Nyma

OPF,does god need trial and error to progress? Mz,when you state the principle that 'progress' is only going forward does this take into account all species,such as dinasaurs,did they go forward......? I think to say it all goes forwards is just like a simplistic kind of tautology, i mean time always goes forward,does this mean something is directing time,or is this the nature of time itself? Look at the complexity of a computer,a car or a rocket,does this need a 'divine' perfect life force creator to design it? No,it just needs a human sufficently developed,with enough trial and error,resources and experience to make it.... The presence of a watch in the sand does not imply a perfect divine watchmaker,but implies a human watchmaker,no? As we all know The life-force takes very many years to make changes to nature, so it has developed come up with you and me to speed things up - i reckon, and has inspired in us its nature as well, but has warned us that if we go in the opposite direction to its nature we will be punished for it and vice versa. question of dinosaurs- do we still travel in steam locomotives or have we done away with them when we came up with better alternatives? IF God is created, and I wholeheartedly believe he is/was not. He is the creator in my eyes... but hypothetically if he was then who created it, and who created that creator... its an infinite question if you know what i mean...

Peace Truth, We are indeed just the assembled atoms that existed before us but we are something more than just that. What I mean by this is that at the instant of death, all those atoms and matter are still there and yet the life that existed is no longer present. The universe that we can sense is finite and cannot represent anything but a creation that is sustained by the God on an ongoing basis. Ahh so you're saying we're not simply the sum of all the parts, but rather something unique apart from that. Perhaps, at the instant of death all the atoms still exist, but somehow I doubt that our personality or what we like to call 'I' is still around. I think that as soon as we die, our ego vanishes, and we are once again unified with all of creation, so that there is no 'I' to talk about. I agree that our universe is finite in the sense that there may be many more universes, or creations if you will apart from the one we inhabit. Kinda like us being a grain of sand or even less than that. However, I also believe that underneath everything we are in fact god. In this and in your acorn=tree analogy, I see it more like a piano and the pianist. When playing music the pianist and the piano are almost as one in order for that system to work, but we can hardly say the pianist is the same thing as the piano. I see... yes I would have to agree that the piano and the pianist are not one and the same thing. However, I don't look at this analogy as representative of my viewpoint, and I'll have to think on it for a bit. The television and broadcast analogy is a little more complex. I do see us as like the television sets however those television sets do not exist in a vacuum, indeed they cannot exist independently. Their existence is dependent on that signal, that sustenance, that nurturing, the mercy of the God. They are in existence because of His continuous involvement. The God is indeed the creator and sustainer of the universe as we sense it and the continuous uninterrupted source of its animation. Fair enough, but is your view such that there is a 'you' that is created and sustained by a god? I may be getting repetitive, but my view is that the 'I' is just an illusion, and underneath this illusion there is only god. I can compare this to an actor getting lost in a role and actually believing that the role is who he/she is. The role has become an illusion, but underneath it, there is only god. Some of us believe that we are our roles more than others, and this is fine, eventually we will realize that we are much more though. However, I can only state this as my point of view, and in no way do I expect you to accept it. Tay's reference to panentheism is very much like what I am describing as my view however I don't like labels so much. I believe that monotheism in essence has this idea within it as the God is simply the One, the Ultimate, the Creator, the Source. From what I read (and I could be wrong) about panentheism I see it as everything being in god; an analogy being that we are a fish (humans), in an ocean (god). I do not agree with this view for one reason. In this case god is not everywhere literally, but is everywhere in the sense that god surrounds us everywhere we look, or our whole experience is of god. I take everywhere literally to mean everywhere, so that god would have to be the fish just as god is the ocean..there is no seperation between creator and creation. As always this is only my point of view, and of course I don't expect you to change yours; I'm just trying to understand mine better. Peace

Soul is in servanthood because he adores the most ideal ! to adore, to love, to glorify the most beautiful character that one can keep constructing and refining from HIS BEAUTIFUL NAMES. WORSHIPING THE VISION OF GOD. The question for the servant at any moment is What does HE want me to say? What does HE want me to do? Where does HE want me to be? How does he want me do go about this? Peace Tay, You are right, I was only speculating and I am probably wrong, because now thinking about it, animals are more in tune with the system or nature or the laws of the god, more than humans, so they (the animals) should be sufering less. But the human species have dominated all other animals..... so ???

Salam. Free-Will. The most heated debate ever, huh? I believe that we do have a free will but sometimes we're just facing too many obstcales on our way. Sometimes i wonder the same thing, how can i choose something, when i'm prevented to choose it? Suppose i choose to travel to Berlin. I buy a ticket and get on the train. I get to Berlin but get turned around because there is a terrorist holding entire Berlin threating he'll nuke the place. I have to turn around and choose another city. But i really wanted to go to Berlin. I mean, if i decided to go to Berlin, why can't i exercise this plan. My plan is to visit Berlin, for example, but i can't, this crazy terrorist is there. What now? A) I can go to another city, for example, Buenos Aires. B) I can go to berlin and kill the terrorist myself in order to go with my original plan. What do you think i should choose? Peace.

PEace Bro Kevyn I'm not too sure, so i'm only speculating. but i think both genders have different "powers" i guess if you want to call it that. but the quality of the male's power in physical strength is stronger. so i'm assuming that has something to do with it. but at the same time, God is genderless so you can't say His Power is limited to that of male qualities. Allah is neither male nor female. dunno thats my take of it. If only we could all just speak Qur'anic Arabic without having to take classes... gender-neutral pronouns would remove these arbitrary genderings of God, lol. Thanks for sharing! In reading a book about the 'non-existence' of god,a person put forward the comment that seeing all the uneccessary horrendous suffering of innocents in the world,why did god not have the power to let humans exercise free-will which simultaneously leads to only peaceful and beneficial outcomes....? Why cant god grant free-will to all people,but also ensure this free-will leads to peace only......? The comment thus concluded the non-existence of god. If our free-will is absolute or very important in determining what happens to create this suffering,then at what stage (if any.) does god intervene to stop horrendous large scale suffering of innocents? Peace. The God gave us all freedom and to answer your question when will The God stop the war in Iraq, here's the answer the war has already stopped! In the future and it's up to us to stand fast, get together, unify, and fight the bad guys with guns and not just watch them kill the innocent on that CNN!!!!! I wanted to go to Iraq but i'm just one person! I can't stop the bad guys from killing the innocent! Can we? Can we all do that?
