Let's suppose that the Quran was revealed in English!
And Arabic is a world wide technological language spoken by many nation, including this Forum.
Then we will have some who would suggest it's far better to keep the word GOD as it is, and not translate it to its Arabic form "Allah" which is understood by all Arab speaking world!

4144 Had We made it a non-Arabic reading, they would have said, "If only its signs/verses were made clear!" Whether non-Arabic or Arabic, say, "For those who acknowledge, it is a guide and healing. As for those who reject, there is deafness in their ears, and they are blind to it. These will be called from a place far away."
This verse even says that non-Arabic speaking believers understand The Quran better than Arabic-speaking rejecters.
