interesting, i've been told also by many hf that this site and anyone who thinks this way is wrong and evil and trying to mislead muslims... i of course would only like to know how exactly? by saying quran doesn't support violence, cutting hands off of thieves, beating wives... ?

I would never pay that much for a book. I think the most I've payed is $150 but that was for a stupid text book for college. -
According to this cartoon I recall watching when I was a kid (I might've been , books were so very expensive in Europe a few centuries ago that this guy sold his castle to buy one. I don't know if that's true or if my memory - which praise God is normally phenomenal - of what I saw about 13 years ago I think is a bit distorted.

Tayunfortunately it's very hard to have a conversation with Rifat because he insists on saying "praise be to Allah" every two minutes (fan of the literal interpretation, i'm assuming). and he keeps calling me arrogant and what not, so...
I'm not sure if it was right of me to post this but I thought it was absolutely ridiculous how he was accusing free-minds of decieving people and I thought i'd bring it out in the open so it can be discussed and the accused can defend themselves.

20 pounds is cheap. it was for my stupid engineering class. and that wasn't the only expensive book i've had to buy.
and you can't buy em used because they change the edition every year. effing scam. -

I had a discussion with him online and we concluded that he has to have blind faith to believe what he does, but then he forgot that whole conversation and keeps arguing that his beliefs are the right one and there's plenty of evidence. but he never gives me any. -

Generally speaking, the more difficult something is, the greater the reward. I think this is particularly true when it comes to career/job/profession.
If it's easy, many people can do it, high supply of skillset, lower wages.
If it's difficult, less people can do it, low supply of skillset, higher wages.

uhhh I have no idea. but if I'm lucky I'll be working with what you call "motor vehicles."
