I'm very, very tempted to believe that abortion at any stage of pregnancy is murder, but perhaps killing a zygote that's conceived outside a woman's body isn't murder

The above verse clearly says that humans are made inside women so IVF - which involves discarding a bunch of embryos - can't be wrong. I can think of no logical reason (it's almost 4 in the morning) to treat an embryo that is conceived outside a woman's body any differently from an embryo that's made inside a woman's body, but the above verse tells us that human life begins in a woman's womb. Perhaps there's something special about embryos that're conceived inside women.

The verses you've quoted don't really support your opinion. If we pretend like they do, then even dust and sperms must be considered humans (dust and the "tiny drop" are spoken of as things that're outside a woman's womb). The verse I quoted talks about fertilization.

Why would someone plan on killing a zygote? Isn?t the purpose of IVF pregnancy? Miscarriages happen sometimes beyond our control... I guess IVF pregnancies have similar issues, not all people can get pregnant by it. But sure it would be just similar as a normal pregnancy killing it intentionally is almost like abortion.
I dunno too much about IVF though what if the procedure is done faulty and caused I dunno infections or abnormalities would you say killing/destroying it would be wrong? It?s not like a natural pregnancy?

The question is does this make the "morning pill" prohibited? Can we consider a zygot, in a womb or in a lab, a "child"? -

Because it's really hard to impregnate women using IVF, doctors create several embryos and after one has been implanted successfully, the rest are rejected.

There's only a small chance that it prevents implantation so it's likely that taking the morning after pill isn't murder.
There's lots of talk about embryos not being persons, but who gets to decide who a person is and who isn't? Does the absence of consciousness make a human a non-person? What exactly is consciousness? It's a fact that humans aren't the only conscious animals; many animals exhibit signs of consciousness. I think the main thing that distinguishes humans from other organisms is inspiration (ruh) and not consciousness. Embryos certainly possess inspiration if part of inspiration is morality because morality is coded in our genes.

I guess 6151 applies in the scenario you posed. Killing an unborn human to save the life of the woman they depend on seems just to me.
I am asking you because you are wmpted that abortion at any stage is murder. I want to point out if you believe abortion can be justified in absolute cases, murder of an innocent person is not. Maybe this will make us think of a zygot as not a person.

What about fetuses? A pregnant woman's life can become endangered if she's 5, 6 or 7 months pregnant. Would it be okay for her to have an abortion then?

Hmmm you're right. It speaks of the physical creation of the human body but not the soul.
Anyone know anything about when the body is given a soul?
