    Salaam Asana,

Let us go back to the verses quoted by mmkhan.

Your logic is that in these verses Allah is sending Salaam on prophets and we should not; that is what I understood from your posts. Correct me if I am wrong, because without knowing your exact position I am unable to comment. Read the following verse

They said "Dost thou wonder at Allah's decree? the grace of Allah and His blessings on you, o ye people of the house! for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory!"

Who are "they"? off course not Allah, Allah sends blessings and Salaam on prophets AND so do the Angels following Allah and so do we dear Asana. I can't just understand a bit of your logic for not allowing to say us Salaam to prophets.

    read this again

Peace upon Ilyaas We perpetuated his praise in the later generations, this is how we repay for the good deeds.from Surah 37

    Asana

And you didn?t answer to 1933?..I?m really interested to know how you understand this verse.

    read 1915

and then read Al-Muminoon 99-101, after that we may discuss are the prophets and martyrs alive or not? and is it us who cannot perceive or something else.

    Asana

Believing is in regard/related to the message of God that they were raised/chosen to deliver it not as a person?..Messengers of God without Message are an ordinary person?.the whole point of believing in them is for the messages that they carried/delivered to us??.They would testify that they only delivered what they were told by God not some thing like Hadith&sunna/man made laws etc.

You may scroll back a page to see my reply to this absurd claim. An ordinary person cannot deliver the message of Allah, he has to be extra ordinary.

    Raja on January 14, 2011

That is simply a misleading statement. How can a message earn a respect if it is to be delivered by a person who is drunk, steals, embezzles, lies, and lives a life for himself. The messenger is the most important part of the system that Allah has made to listen to his commands and implement it.

Quran decided that Muhammad peace is upon him is the greatest Monotheist.

Can you please remind me which verse of the Quran declares Muhammad as the greatest monotheist ?

in fact every verse of Quran indicates that Muhammad Peace is upon him is NO ordinary person.

Judge your own self on this one, the depth of this wrong statement is immeasurable !!

2165 Among the people are some who take other than God as equals to Him, they love them as they love God; but those who acknowledge love God more strongly.

Quran decided that Muhammad peace is upon him is the greatest Monotheist.
        Through Quran.
        Abraham gets 100%.
I never rated any one on any scale.
I never said only; Muhammad peace is upon him is one of the greatest.

Mohammed (AS) with "peace is upon him"

        Ibrahim (AS) ???

I make no difference in Prophets

              Yes! "but they won't believe"

"What thing is most weighty in evidence?" Say "Allah is witness between me and you; This Qur'an hath been revealed to me by inspiration, that I may warn you and all whom it reaches. Can ye possibly bear witness that besides Allah there is another Allah?" Say "Nay! I cannot bear witness!" Say "But in truth He is the one Allah, and I truly am innocent of joining others with Him."

Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, , "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first who submit and 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.' "

He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion, however much the idolaters may be averse.

It is not a difficult task to interlink these ayats.

Interlink what, Raajah? interlink these with elevating the prophet to some arbitrary rank that you decided for him? This message is a simple one and the same message of monotheism which all the prophets and messengers were asked to deliver. How does Muhammad become elevated among all the messengers for delivering this message? Instead of stressing on the message you find it important to praise the messenger, but is this going to benefit you? And why are you not that generous in praising other messengers?

                  Allah ho Akbar!

                  Raaajah may I add

                  O

Like that obliging beneficence that We have since sent/appointed-declared among you as the Messenger who was perpetually and persistently a believer-Muslim from amongst you. He keeps reciting, word by word/syllable by syllable for you people, Our Aa'ya'at/verbal statements conveying information, facts, and thus uplifts/sanctifies/elevates you and educates/instructs/teaches you people the Book and wisdom/the invisible information/data . And he tells you the knowledge/information/data which hitherto you did not have .

While reading Grand Qur'aan it must be kept in mind that it was gradually and intermittently revealed and communicated to people who were the contemporary of the period of its revelation. Therefore whatever is elided, while conveying a new Ayat-verbal presentation of information, was already in their knowledge and perception.
Arabs dislike using larger quantity of words and convey voluminous information by employing minimum words which also reflects that the Arabic language regards its listener and reader as a responsible, attentive and intelligent person who focuses his concentration of listening and perception faculties on that which is being stated.

The structuring of sentences of Grand Qur'aan is unique and unparallel. The beauty inherent in such structuring is that its meanings and perception remains the same from the perspective of its first listeners and those who read it in written text afterwards.

The elided adjective between -is the peculiar trait of the person appointed and declared as the Messenger, which was known and was an acknowledged/accepted fact for the people who listened this sentence at the time of its revelation.

Since the posterity, who understand the structuring of Arabic sentences, could presume any positive trait and attribute it to the Messenger as elided adjective, Allah has specifically made it clear, as to what that adjectival trait is, in the Ayat 3164

"Indeed Allah had conferred beneficence/ indebtedness upon the Believers when He appointed a Revivalist/ re-Awakener as Messenger from amongst them "

May Allah bless you further with understanding of Quran and love for Muhmmmad peace is upon him, I have learned a lot from you.

There are many who just see a word in a text and start perceiving things and feel satisfied that they have understood what is stated therein.

(Danishwers). If only they would have understood!
As I said before it only happens when a transition takes place, we start reading beneath the words.

You are just trying to make a storm in cup of tea! One who reads Quran is very well aware of the status of prophets.
Regarding ayats of Surah Nisaa read it from 50 on wards. It tells us to believe in all prophets not in some, as Jews and Christians do, but we should believe in all prophets.
The same message is in Surah baqra, read from 235...

                                      and 2285
The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction between one and another of His messengers." And they say "We hear, and we obey Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys.

Off course followers of Muhammad peace is upon him are different from Jews and Christians, one of them call Issa Peace is upon him son of a whore, and other call Muhammad peace is upon him a pedophile.
To us all the prophets/messengers are from Allah and Allah has raised status of some prophets over others as mentioned in Quran.

Not only that, all Messengers were under an obligation to have faith in ONE Messenger of the future and were bound as per their own committment to submit to him whose qualitative trait was mentioned as being the one who would authenticate all that which was given to all of them in time and space. He is the Great in rank. Till his arrival all the humanity was under an obligation-pledge to believe in him whenever he arrives. He was the Last so the humanity is no more under any obligation to have faith in any one except him and he asked to believe in all the Messengers of the past times and spaces. Peoples of the Book, both Jews and Christians were under a pledge to believe in him. No pledge is upon us to believe in anyone after having believed in him.

Say "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma`il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord; we make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah submit." 384

This messenger is adressed directly to confirme the quran SAY and speak on every one, no more after him, the covenant that confirm all covenants, he is the last messenger according to this verse, for he speaks on behalf of everybody, and he confirmes all messenger by names and prophets with no names.
when it says SAY the verse is adressed to mohamed directly, and because we follow mohamed , so we read it as adresing us.

There is anopther verse that speak to us in pluriel, we are all supposed to believe in the quran theefore, we are all confirmers of the covenant

Say ye ( pluriel) "We believe, in Allah and the revelation given to us and to Abraham Isma`il Isaac Jacob and the Tribes and that given to Moses and Jesus and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord we make no difference between one and another of them and we bow to Allah (in Islam)." 2136

the one last messenger is important because of the eternel message, the covenant, the quran, the last message. therefore , every sect or religion following any prophet now , has to believe in the quran. therefore, the last mesenger
                                          believing, is confirming
