    Peace.

    Actually there is a difference.
Qoran is straightforward. There is only one truth.

One can go around and assign all sorts of meanings to GOD s words ,but "believing" is a serious matter, which includes taking HIS words seriously and reverencing HIM ( Being careful not to compromise the truth and choosing the wrong meanings without checking properly!).

O you who believe, reverence God and utter only the correct utterances.
He will then fix your works, and forgive your sins. Those who obey God and His messenger have triumphed a great triumph.

God augments the guidance of those who choose to be guided. For the good deeds are eternally rewarded by your Lord, and bring far better returns.

One can go around saying all sorts about GOD s words, but if they do not fit in with all the context of Qoran and "contradict" it ,then they are falsehood, not the truth!!!

The selective obedience of God to compromise and please our ego and others besides Him is lying and it leads to nothing but a hypocritical path.
The Day will come when God resurrects them all. They will swear to Him then, just as they swear to you now, thinking that they really are right! Indeed, they are the real liars.

Bottom lines GOD s words are a serious matter.
If we needed amusement, we could have initiated it without any of this, if that is what we wanted to do.
Instead, it is our plan to support the truth against falsehood, in order to defeat it. Woe to you for the utterances you utter.

If you pick and choose ,here and there, and ignore other verses.we are kidding ourselves and misleading people
Say, "O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion beyond the truth, and do not follow the opinions of people who have gone astray, and have misled multitudes of people; they are far astray from the right path."

Let us value GOD as He should be valued. Value HIS words every singe one of them in all Qoran.

This is not mix and match. This is not finding what you desire. This is not any book, any meaning any which way you like.

This is GOD s instruction, guidance, deen, way of life, all of it ,every single verse, every single word, every single letter.

Do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor shall you conceal the truth, knowingly.

    Finally
"Our Lord, let not our hearts waver, now that You have guided us. Shower us with Your mercy; You are the Grantor.

... "Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make mistakes. Our Lord, and protect us from blaspheming against You, like those before us have done. Our Lord, protect us from sinning until it becomes too late for us to repent. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master. Grant us victory over the disbelieving people."

    GOD bless.
    Peace.

Good points! I was just trying to remind people that, even if they are going to take different meanings, it is true that even who gets defeated or wins in a conflict on any level is decided by God, but also of course, when and where and how a person lives and dies! Every moment!

I know I have repeated it tons of times, but Quran is straightforward if one can interpret it properly, like any text.

The invention of meanings etc that the ancient clerics stood for sufficiently so it is not possible to anything other than finding the right one.

          How to Salat?
Just do salat the normal way, i mean if it is for God alone then it doesnt matter how many times you bow or prostrate but i think the more you do it the better?

            Peace mmkhan.

"Quital" and "Qatal" are two different words with different meanings.

            In 3325, "Quital" means fighting.

Here look ,the verse is saying( your red bit) GOD ...(.God spared the believers any fighting)....

            GOD bless you.
            Peace.

              Peace brother,

Yes I agree that Qitaal is different that Qatala but they both derived from the same root. So, base meaning will not change in them.

You translated "kafaa" as "spared"? hmm
Sorry to say but I cannot agree with this bro. How will you translate "kafaa" in 1343.

                Peace Brother.

Again I have to disappoint you. The context of "Kafa" in the two verses is different

In 1343 it means "suffice" "enough for me"... i.e GOD suffices ...

In 3325 it means "spared "..."no more"...enough for now... i.e GOD saved the believers from Quital...

                That is my understanding .
                GOD bless you.
                Peace.

To me one Arabic word from alQuraan/alKitaab gives a single meaning always and does not give multiple meanings in any condition. And I will also disappoint you by disagreeing with your understanding Anyway that is not a problem though.

What is your view on this matter and these words? Were you of the school that thought Musa did not kill a man as is traditionally believed? I'd like to know your views!

                        mmkhan,

You have taken a good stance concerning the nature of the Arabic words.

He seemed to hold similar beliefs as mmkhan. Everything he believed had to strictly be found in Quran and he seemed open to that the interpretation of Quran was not always right.

Not sure about specifics. He may have changed what he thinks now.

You seem to accept the mainstream Islam despite that you probably even yourself know it is wrong somehow for the sake of unity.

Good answers! I do reject the Hadith though, particularly where it appears to blasphemy by claiming "Allah said" or whatever and its not in the Qur'an, and I wholly don't believe in it pretty much, which sets me apart at least from the real hardcore Hadith loving type of Muslims, but I believe that those practices which may be found in the Hadith which are being performed today, some of them are fine to retain for the sake of unity like you said, and the mainstream versions of the Qur'an seem to also approve of pagan rituals and practices knowingly and says they are ok, it seems mainly against philosophical issues and beliefs more than the practices of going around in the pilgrimage or whatever else. It looks like there may have been a practice of "garlands" but the Muslims seemed to have stopped that.
