      SaLaM Taj

do you think that we should completely reject the teachings in the Bible and Torah?

No. Those are the books of God. They have been changed or altered just like the Quran has been changed or altered. God asks us to follow the truth where ever we find it. This includes Injeel and Torah.

        Peace be with you all,
I hope this will help you in arriving to some conclusion wink .

        5 Al-maidah-
44-Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance and a light, by which the Prophets who surrendered (unto Allah) judged the Jews, and the rabbis and the priests (judged) by such of Allah's Scripture as they were bidden to observe, and thereunto were they witnesses. So fear not mankind, but fear Me. And barter not My revelations for a little gain. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed such are disbelievers.

46-And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary confirming the law that had come before him We sent him the Gospel therein was guidance and light and confirmation of the law that had come before him a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.

47-Let the people of the Gospel Judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) those who rebel.

48-To thee We sent the Scripture in truth confirming the scripture that came before it and guarding it in safety; so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed and follow not their vain desires diverging from the truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have We prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed He would have made you a single people but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute.

        take care.

What are you guys talking about???

If you reject the hadith, to follow the Quran ALONE, then reject everything else. Even the Quran FORBIDS any other source of Islamic knowledge. It is just as idiotic to follow the torah, or injeel, or bible, as it is to follow the hadith blindly. And it'll land you a free pass to hell, as the Quran says.

And the Quran hasnt been changed. Allah has protected the Quran from that. It does have minor (very) changes like a few letters. But the message has remained the Same. The other books have been altered by the people. Those books arent to be trusted. That was the whole purpose of the Quran in the first place.

              Peace be upon you all,

As with any book, we must verify what we read. Take your focus out of books ad place it on Al Kitab (Divine law), the only important book.

Your name reminds me of a friend i had. Very intelligent. Had big things planned for her life. An awesome person

Ok, to your question. When i read the Torah, i try to verify what i read. The truth is repeated in all the scriptures of God. The more you do this, the better and easy it becomes for you to spot the BS from the guidence.

Even though the truth is repeated, how can we know that these words are really the words of God? The earlier sciptures has been corrupted so even the words which match with the meaning of quran can have been changed alittle maybe..? I cant see any meaning to seek guidance from any other scriptures than quran.

                  Salaam

                          Peace be upon you Jaxal,

That would be THE Kitaab, whose signs are from the horizons to within our minds/spirits(nafs).

We cannot go wrong when we deal with objective verificaton.

Forgive me brother, for the answer still eludes my grasp. I know you are not talking about the Quran, Torah or Gospel. So what is the name of this book? Surely its not called "Al-Kitab".

                              Peace be upon you,

It is a book that is above names. Names are only needed to seperate on thing from the other, but this book "leaves nothing out" and is "fully detailed". It has no name, just like the God, who only has attributes.

Thats true, there are different mushafs (scriptures, books) but the quran can never be changed. So which mushaf do u believe in, how can u know which mushaf is the right one?

No no. Im not talking about different mushafs. I mean, that alone should be an indication of how Quran has been altered. Do you think that is how the Quran was written? in different mushafs? I dont think so. It was written in one dialect. But even leaving that aside, words have been aded to the Quran. There is a topic here called "How authentic is the Quran". Have a read through it. It also provides evidence for you to see yourself.

No i dont think so. I think people have changed the real one into different mushafs. But there is one real, and Gods words can never change. I will read it, in sha Allah. Barak Allahu fik.
