The quraan states that the jews & christians have rejected the sanctity of Kaaba
-
The quraan depicts, very clearly, the people of the book as rejecting the kaaba.
But, first, let us go back to the time when abraham & ishmael were raising the foundation of the Kaaba
2127 And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer)"Our Lord! Accept (this service) from usFor Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing.
2128 "Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
2129 "Our Lord! send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify themFor Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
Abraham & ishmael pray to God to raise from their progeny a community who will submit unto God. What the jews & the christians think about ishmael is well-known; they would have nothing to do with this honored prophet of God -- just give them the idea that they are from the progeny of ishmael.
The two prophets, who raised the foundation of the House, invoke their Lord, and pray that He send to their progeny a messenger who shall rehearse to them His signs.
Thousands of years later muhammad appears on the scene, & rehearses unto them the signs of God. And the jews & christians seek to falsify him.
396 The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at BakkaFull of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings
397 In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.
398 Say"O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do?"
Indeed, the Kaaba at mecca has been rejected by the jews & christians, who have invented fictitious holy sites to lead people astray.
Observe how the christians & the jews throng to jerusalem, in perfect conformity with 398. The "foundation stone" in jerusalem is the seat of holiness for jews. How the haters of ishmael have turned away from the House & His signs.
399 Say"O ye People of the Book! Why obstruct ye those who believe, from the path of Allah, Seeking to make it crooked, while ye were yourselves witnesses (to Allah's Covenant)? but Allah is not unmindful of all that ye do."
836 The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (man) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcomeand the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell;-
The non-muslims have rejected the Kaaba, & have ever invented holiness for other places. Records tell us how umar & kaab made a dumping rock "holy," & of abdul malik 's attempt to divert hajj from mecca to jerusalem. Even today the jews & christians try to divert people to jerusalem.
3100 O ye who believe! If ye listen to a faction among the People of the Book, they would (indeed) render you apostates after ye have believed!
Indeed, the jews & christians have made a mockery of hajj. A christian website claims that the quraanic "hajj" is equivalent to the biblical "hag," often taken as "festival". Observe how they have reduced the hajj to eating & merry-making. But one who studies the testaments will know this is far from the truth.
3101 And how would ye deny Faith while unto you are rehearsed the Signs of Allah, and among you Lives the Messenger? Whoever holds firmly to Allah will be shown a way that is straight.
Which place do the muslims revere but the jews & christians loathe? And they have taken a dumping rock in its stead.
The non-muslims make fun of the Signs of God & the hajj, and seek to lead men away from the way of God. But what awaits those who die rejecting His signs?

Salaams thegod,
here is some info- might give that thought one day to lead you out of stones and them things.
THE PLACE OF TEARS
The actual meaning of the word ?Baca? is ?weeping? or ?tears.? It speaks to the fact that in the life of every person there are one or more ?valleys of Baca,? a time of great heartache and weeping. Bitter tears of sorrow over circumstances, whether brought on by our own failures or events that take place that we have no control over. No matter the reason, we find ourselves in the midst of the Valley of Baca.
Every time I read this Verse, I am always reminded of David and the many periods of his life, the ups, the downs, the exaltations, and the humiliations. The man after God?s own heart, and the one to whom Nathan would say, ?you are the man.?
There is an old saying by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow ?Into each life some rain must fall? and no matter the reason that has brought each of us to our own season of ?weeping and tears,? we must understand that each of us is going to find ourselves in ?the place of tears.?As a Believer, we must understand that nothing can happen to us the Lord doesn?t cause or allow. No, the Lord doesn?t cause us to sin, but He does allow it, and if that?s true, and it is, why does He cause us to pass through this ?place of tears?? Everything the Lord does is for our good, to teach us trust and dependence upon Him, to bring us to the place that we are not depending upon self, or someone else to see us through, but the Lord and the Lord only.
A TEMPORARY SITUATION
No matter what you are going through, you must never forget that it?s only temporary. How do I know? I know because the Text says, ?who passing through. . ? We are not going to stay in this valley, we are only passing through. Now there are some people who may decide they are going to stay in the valley as they begin to feel sorry for themselves, but that is their own choice, not the Lord?s.
WHAT TO DO IN THE VALLEY
It is the intention of the Lord that while we are passing through the Valley of Tears that we turn the hardship into a ?well? meaning we turn this valley into a place of praise and worship. That we offer up the ?sacrifice of praise.? A well speaks of water. Water speaks of life. In the midst of your tears and weeping, turn it around and get the focus off of you and your problem and focus upon the Lord, Who is our help in times of trouble. When you do that, ?the rain also fills the pools.? In the midst of your trial the Lord will provide comfort and life. The Lord, speaking through the Prophet Isaiah, said in Isaiah 443 ?For I will pour water upon him who is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground.?
There is a little chorus that says
?Spring up a well within my soul,
?Spring up a well and make me whole,
?Spring up a well and give to me,
?Life abundantly.?And He will, even in the midst of ?The Valley of Tears.?

I am not sure how you make the leap from Bakka to Mecca. I have a hard time believing that the kaaba that currently stands in Mecca has anything to do with Islam. The similarities of the rituals that 'Muslims' are doing with what the Hindus do are very striking. For instance, the circambulating around this Kaaba, presence of a Zam Zam and revering the black stone. To me these things border on paganism. Why would God want us to venerate a cuboid structure and prostrate in front of it? I remember when I went to the Umrah when I was a kid and venerated this Kaaba. In my juvenile mind I was thinking that somehow by touching this building and kissing it I was getting nearer to God. I have repented from those actions and will not do anything until I know full well what the reasons are behind it.
God Bless,

The similarities between some of the beliefs of jews/"hindus" & muslims are more striking.
Are u going to abandon the quraan whenever u come across a "similarity"?

Where did I talk about zam zam & a black stone, & where do I say to "prostrate in front of" a cuboid structure? A sacred stone is very much a jewish concept. And a sacred dumping stone can be found at jerusalem.

the prior/former system was set up for people/mankind by the one with reprehension/reproach (xxi 64) full of blessing and a guidance for the worlds.397
Therein signs/proofs manifest about the standing of Abraham and whoever enters or takes up (his) standing becomes secure Allah has (a right) on the people to desire The system who is able to it a way and who denies then verily Allah stands not in need of the worlds. What was the system which Abraham set up for men?
Actions based on the attributes of God, or actions other then shirk.
Any country based wherein the system is based on the attributes of God will be most secure and people will want to flock to it.

I believe I misunderstood your point then. To me it seemed as if you were saying that Jews & Christians had abandoned the Kaaba. Which implies that you believe that the Kaaba is something holy/special/venerated. I will abandon all ideas that do not come from the Quran alone. Revering Kaaba in my opinion is one of them since the Quran does not talk about a Kaaba. Don't you find it strange that the Quran consistently points out that materials (idols, wealth) can avail us nothing on J-Day and that they should not be worshipped/venerated/sought; then would command us to venerate a stone cube/site?
"What is ur idea about hajj & becca?" I am still in the early stages of research on this matter and have not come to a conclusion as of yet.

- If that is what it seemed to u, u understood it perfectly.
What else do u understand by the following verses
3101 And how would ye deny Faith while unto you are rehearsed the Signs of Allah, and among you Lives the Messenger? Whoever holds firmly to Allah will be shown a way that is straight.
They also rejected ishmael; rejecting is their way.
-Which implies that you believe that the Kaaba is something holy/special/venerated.
- The kaaba is special/blessed as per the quraan (396)
Do u have an alternate translation?
-I will abandon all ideas that do not come from the Quran alone.
Very good.
-Revering Kaaba in my opinion is one of them since the Quran does not talk about a Kaaba.
- The quraan does not talk about a kaaba, it does talk about the kaaba.
-Don't you find it strange that the Quran consistently points out that materials (idols, wealth) can avail us nothing on J-Day and that they should not be worshipped/venerated/sought; then would command us to venerate a stone cube/site?
What I do find strange is people turning away from what God tells them; but it happens in all ages -- turning away from His signs (397). But it's all in there (3712). Our response is given in 2268.
What u seem to have misunderstood is the bit about zam zam & some rock not found in the quraan. It is unfortunate that u revered a stone, which is also a jewish idea.
-"What is ur idea about hajj & becca?" I am still in the early stages of research on this matter and have not come to a conclusion as of yet.
Evidently, the jews & christians have little clue about abraham; I wish u better luck in ur research.

Peace,
These verses say that many Jews and Nazarenes have rejected the "bayt" that was solidified by Abraham. However, the Qur'aan implies that this "bayt" (often translated as "house" is not a specific place, but rather, it's an idea or belief system, specifically "submission" (or monotheism). There is no evidence that Abraham or Ishmail ever went to Makka, and the Qur'aan only describes this place as a land of idolators who were rejecting Muhammad and his followers; the people of Makka were trying to keep the early submitters from reaching "almasjid alharaam". The Qur'aan clearly says that Muhammad and his followers defeated the people of this land, and they entered "almasjid alharaam", which implies that this "masjid" was not in Makka; rather, it was PAST (beyond) Makka. And this is the only reference to Makka in the Qur'aan (4824). Nowhere in any of the scriptures is this place made out to be the first (original) house of worship established by Abraham and Ishmail...
Peace,
Ahmad
