Can a Husband Drink His Wife's...
-
As-Salam Aaykum all,
My question is ....can you drink your wife's Breast Milk...and If you Do lets say drink it...What spiritual Consequences may happen?
What I mean by Spiritual Consequences...is that there are things That happen that our Eyes cannot see. For instance there is a negative Effect Spiritually that happens when you have sex with your wife on a menstrual period, or an Effect when eating Pork Meat, or Drinking Alcohol.
There is a Positive Effect though when consuming Organic and "Proper" things as well for your Soul. For instance, When a Child is Breast Fed, He Spiritually Grows a Bond Between him and the Mother.... That is why in Islam, women who adopt Children as asked to Breastfeed that Adopted child, thus creating a Spiritual Bond Between that Mother and Child.
Now the Question is...
- Is Breast Milk ONLY for a Child, and its actually just a really "Active" husband who wants to take it upon himself to have some too?
- Is it "Alright" for a Husband to drink his wife's milk....
- would there also be some sort of Spiritual effect on him?
Thank you all for your imput. D

Hahah No... why?
I know it sounds weird...all the whole "Spiritual mumbo jumbo" but seriously i think it could be true...
but thats irrelevant right now... All i want to know is...What do you guys think about a husband drinking his wife's breast-milk?
;D thanks

Why on earth somebody will drink his wife milk why he cannot buy or keep a cow for that purpose. ???
Any ways here is some interesting fatwa?s and hadiths for you.

Why on earth not, is it poisonous or something?
It would benefit all parties involved. Breasts get rather tense when they're 'full', and if the baby isn't born yet or is born but doesn't drink it enough, then there's little alternative for the mother than to go and squirt some out in the garden - which seems like a bit of a waste, when you think about it.

I personally do not think it is right.
1666 And for you there is a lesson in the livestock; We give you to
drink from what is in its belly between the digested food and the
blood, a pure milk which is relieving for the drinkers. As the ayat states the milk we are supposed to drink is from the livestock. Unless you feel your wife is part of the livestock that is another issue. The breast milk from a female human is for the baby only and not for the curious husband. If you have spare milk then offer some to maturnity units in hospitals, I am sure they may find a use for it. On a personal note I have two children thanks to Allah and I could not have imagined for one day to even taste my wifes breat milk, just not right unless you have a fetish I guess.

Let's not put words in the quran where there are none. The ayat doesn't state that the only milk we are supposed to drink is from the livestock.

Lets not try to make women's milk halal for adults to drink. thanks

Please provide evidence, that we are suppose to drink milk other than the livestock and that will help me understand 1666 better.

I never tried to "make halal" drinking wife's milk. This minor question is pretty much unimportant to me. What is important is not making something haram when there is no quranic evidence for the proclamation. As far as I can tell, the verse hope4 pointed to does not making drinking one's wife's milk haram. Do you disagree?

Selam CavemanDoctor
Yes I agree that it is not mentioned. However, the example given to us in the ayat is of milk produced by livestock e.g. animals and not humans. Also how this milk is 'relieving for the drinkers'. Now the drinkers here I am assuming and could not be sure must but must be mankind (humans). If the ayat talked about how milk in general was 'relieving for the drinkers' then I could possibly with great reluctance say that this may include milk produced by a human. Also, I did not use this verse to state that milk from a women is haram as you put it, but as the only evidence from Quran we have to go by of milk we drink is from the livestock. Also I did state that I did not feel it is right (my personal feelings). Now if someone chooses to drink their wifes milk then that is up to them, there is no issue of it being halal or haram as there is no direct command in the Quran to suggest this but the issue is more ethical. I would not personally go to work the next day and say 'mate you have to try your wifes milk on your weetabix tomorrow morning it was fantastic' ;D I would probably get weird looks. People can make up their own minds, a gift from Allah.

peace all,
If i were to listen and choose the best words here, it goes to...
The breast milk from a female human is for the baby only and not for the curious husband. If you have spare milk then offer some to maternity units in hospitals, I am sure they may find a use for it.
There are mothers/babies lacking "organic" and "proper" "female human" "breast milk". Yet there are "curious" "husbands" ... ? nope
@RA786, this is your first thread? way to go ... )

Thank you all for your Input...
I have made my own personal Decision...and Agree with Brother Hope4
I have Reflected on A couple of things that Made my Mind...
-
Breast Milk in the Quran is ONLY mentioned with a Human Baby immediately after its mentioned.
-
Milk that Humans "Drink"...Is Mentioned As being "Cattle's milk"...and the Context seem to Imply it was Adult Humans Since Baby Human's Drink Breast Milk up to about 2 years (as mentioned)
-
When Reflecting on Nature...NO WHERE Have I EVER seen animals in the Animal kingdom Drink Breast Milk that were Adults.... I have ONLY seen Baby Animals Drinking Their Mothers Milk.
4)If Breast-Milk was for me...Then A woman would Lactate and Produce Milk Constantly Everyday All-day... BUT since a Woman ONLY Lactates Milk When Pregnant...It becomes Apparent that Obviously and Logically....The Purpose of the Milk is for the Baby... ONLY.... Because I as an adult am Irrelevant for the consumption of this Milk. My Milk Needs are already explained in the Quran as being Filled by the Cattle. (that's their Purpose)
In conclusion, I have found that, As a Human being with Free-will...I sometimes make decisions based on my Selfish- Self-Indulgence and Rebellious views on What "I" "Can Do"....Not exactly what I "Should do". After Carefully Examining and analyzing it...It seems apparent to me that Allah's System is very plain and Easy to understand using Common Sense.
It is this type of view (I can do what ever I want), that can be used with anything....
You can Make ANYTHING seem appropriate whether it be Masturbating, Doing Drugs, Temporary Marriage (Nikka-Muttah) Prostitution, Drinking Breast milk or even Serving other masters besides Allah.
I think we should Defiantly Ponder on the Quran and Common Sense before deciding to do whatever action we want, because of our Lower Carnal Desires..
I will Not Drink Breast Milk bravo
I think this topic is Concluded. Thanks Everyone...

Thanks San, Well I hope to make a more in depth Thread about other Topic that are actually more Important.
This topic to me was more to not only ask what peoples Views are on a simple Question, But more important how they Answered it and how they Analyze it. I wanted to ask "Quran-Aloners" like myself and see where we stand and were we differ and why we have a different Ethic or Moral View on something.
Hopefully, Id like to use this in a new project I want to make.
Thanks Everyone ;D

You were on to something ,eh ;D
I am trying not to think that he is getting married soon
he might have a fetish
Oh whatever it was, it's safe to marry him now, girls!
-
No no... Im sorry, I am getting married inshallah very soon to my Wife...(the Quranic Way) ;D inshallah
This is a Curious Question I had, because...I cant remember what Breast Milk taste like and after watching a movie about a Weird Mom in England who Breastfeeds her 10 year old Daughtors...I was like eewww.. yuck..But then it got me thinking.... -\ ! hmm eat
So, It turns out there are many views on this simple subject in the Hadiths and in Society...
I wanted to hear what other Quran Aloners would say on their personal Ruling...and how they came up with that Answer. The Logical and Rational Path they chose.
I liked Hope4's Method of Critically thinking and Analyzing. I liked how he used those two Verses to show how Logically One Milk is for a Person of Older age, and the Other is for a baby of a Younger age...
Then I showed how I used my Logic in Deciding by Agreeing with Him, and also Looking at other types of Possible Reasons for my answer such as "Reflecting on Nature", and using Common Sense in a real life example....Such as...
If I give One Son a Piece of Chocolate and say..."John, This Chocolate is for you"
and then Give a different Type of Chocolate to my Other son and Specifically say "Lenon, This Chocolate is For you".
It would only be Logical that That is for a SPECIFIC REASON. and They should NOT TRADE or SHARE their Chocolates with each other because I have Specifically Set a Prescription for them in a certain ORDER.
Otherwise, I would have Just said "Here you TWO, TAKE THESE CHOCOLATES"....
I feel This is Similar to What Allah says and his Specific Prescriptions.
Some People May say ..."Oh, but wait, You didnt say we Couldn't Share or trade, and you didnt say it was Only for Him or Him,....But to me this Type of Logic is insufficient. Its Trying infer that just because the Author didnt Say the magical words "Only" or "Couldn't", that it is Okay.
Obviously, It should be a Given that One is for One wile the Other is for the Other. its only logical sense, and Thus doesnot need those words "ONLY" Or "Couldn't".
This to me is just One Example, or Thing I want to get into. Similar to the whole ruling on "Alcohol" and its permissiveness or its Forbidden ruling.
Do any of you agree? or Disagree? any thoughts? or See where I am going with this?
D thanks
-
Good question actually.
There is nothing in the Quran that rejects drinking women's milk even if your an adult. Unless you classify it as a transgression then there is nothing else in there to my knowledge to reject this.
SO if you wana see what it tastes like, and your wife is ok with it....then i don't see what's the problem.

This is an attitude that I very much disagree with in muslims, traditional or hadithistic muslims and as it shows also among quranists to quickly go to bad brass tacks and exact, but "is it forbidden or not". But the revelation start point is that we seek light and knowledge, not that we long to be treated all our life as minors and told unequivocally what to do without room for us to elaborate on anything. Legally, if we are not forbidden to do something theyn we are allwed, but that is the law, mostly human law. But we as we morally go through life are not clinging continually to what is allowed or not, but to what is right and what is not, and for that we have to THINK. So the Quran does not forbid or allow spirits, oh it does much better thanthat, it says, what alcohol does, it gives reasons, now ?where does the Quran say that we should dispise reason and reasoning and that we should decide of our conduct disregarding it?
Now this suckling one's wife, I find monstruous, although I think that since I find it so I would never be objective. But at the very least I think it is something of the intimacy of people. What has been done here to discuss it is very proper, and also proper that nobody has come out with a haram or halal. We should go beyond that childish attitude, although the subject being baby milk, there may be some "contamination".
