i dont understand how this thread about people wronging Islam has turned in to muslims arguing and fighting with each other. words like extremist are thrown in to our everyday lives to give muslims a bad name we really should refrain from using it so loosely and its none of our place to say whos muslim or not. If someone calls them self one only God can be the judge of that.

Humilities bad nature of dividing is creeping in to our 'non sectarian' way of life....How ironic.

You're absolutely Right. I aplogise if I offended anyone and let's stay with the topic.

You are right, GOD will judge who is or is not a muslim and according to HIS WORD (the Quran)and NOT my word anyone who divides themselves into sects or follows any source of guidence alongside the Quran is NOT completley submitting there will to GOD, as in

muslim = someone who peacefully and completey submits their will to almighty GOD

Remember this is according to GOD'S WORD and NOT mine.

As for going off topic, you have Rajaah to thank for that becuase until he started falsely accusing Alen of using the word "kuffir" to describe Sunni's and Shia's, we were sticking to the subject.

You said that we should refrain from using words like "extremist" loosley, well thats only applies if peoples views are not extremist and if anyone whether so-called muslim or non-muslim has extremist views why should we refrain from saying so???

Burning of the Quran and smearing it with feces did occur but thank God the news didn't spread. It happened at the mosque that I used to go to many years ago. Something positive did come out as it did unify people from across the board to stand up and say, hey this is beyond wrong.

          @umzy01

Now if the people who did what was highlighted in bold are'nt extremists then what should we call them then ???

It had to go on and it went on, actually exposing the extremists on both sides.

Going through this thread and "reply 55" I think the issue can be identified. Let's examine a post from someone

May be Munafiq is a harsh word, but Mazhar is correct in pointing out, that those who feel discomfort with Muhammad Peace be upon's name are not true believers.

Give the example to follow above we can say perhaps Maybe stupid is a harsh word but they aren't intelligent at all.
Mayhap this Maybe Kafir is a harsh word but those who feel discomfort with the quran are not true believers.

Think it, imply it and insidiously salt and pepper it around our posts but don't say it. In which case, "reply 55" shouldn't be an issue since no one said "kafir" and it aligns with what someone preaches/believes in as pointed out. If someone contests it still, it's just hypocrisy or in other words, not practising what they preach. Maybe it's just to argue, who knows.

Did you just call me stupid?
No, I just said you aren't intelligent.

                      Did he called Sunni's Kaffir?
No, he just said they were followers of "SATAN"
No, he just said they were "NON MUSLIMS"
No, he just said that "MUSHRIKS" were better then Sunnis.

                      Did he called them Kaffirs?
                      No!

                          Peace all,

While Obama and Robert Gates stopped Rev. Terry Jones from burning the Book of Truth, little was seen by the world that it actually happened in Tennessee.

                          http//www.tennessean.com/article/20100912/NEWS01/9120333/2-ministers-burn-Quran-in-Tennessee-backyard

When I read the news and decided to post it here, I feel sad not because of the burning. When I read the news, I asked myself, "If a president could stop the much coverage attentions of Rev. Terry Jones, why would God let the two reverends to carry out this act?"

This is what Rev. Old said when he burns the Book of Truth,

"This is a book of hate, not a book of love," Old said, holding the Quran, before setting it afire. "It's a false book, it's a false prophet (Muhammad) and it's false Scripture."

This only shows to me of what had been portrayed to the world by those who claimed they are the keepers of the Book of Truth. Is this a sign from God of things to come? Each person will have their own views with this but all I can say is don't ever stop studying and learning the Truth from God alone. Only God through the Book of Truth can show and prove to each of us the Truth and nothing but the Truth. pr

                          Peace.

Just read reply # 55, I just don't want to repeat it again and

I have, now maybe you should re-read it.

Therefore it is very clear when you call Sunnis Non Muslims you are not referring to them as Ahle-Kitab, you are referring to them as Kaffirs. When you refer to Ahle-Kitab you refer to them as "Brothers" and when you refer to Sunni's you refer to them as "followers of Satan" as quoted above.

From the above quote it is you and not Alen who has used that word.

                              Respect.

I'd say that the man stopped with the stunt because he gave it some heavy thought and relised that if ghe goes on with his stunt, God forbid, then certain people will go on with their own stunts and we know how that will be. No one wants that, honestly.

I'm grateful to God that he came to his senses and I was also wondering why now at the 9th anniversary of the attacks, why not 1st, 5th or tenth, why now? But never mind, it doesn't matter anymore, the important thing is that this thing takes a fast train to past.

                              God bless you.

                              Peace.

Burning of the Quran also happened in Michigan. This sort of a thing has been going on for sometime well before 911. If Rev Jones just burned the quran, would it have gotten world wide attention? Doubt that as what happened in Michigan and other such occurrences in other states obviously didn't make it to the world news. It was the threat, the words, the media coverage...that gave Rev Jones his 15 minutes of fame.

No, it is not God who let these things happen. God gave us the free will, the senses, and the Truth.

                                    This won't change anything.
In fact, it might - God knows best - increase the number of thsoe people who will be interested in reading The Qur'an but not because someone wanted to burn it, because the curiosity has enver been so big as it is these days.

When ever I mention that hijab is not Islamic let alone compulsory and similar examples and then I say that I got proof from The Qur'an, I get the attention from bunch of people. Imagine if I dedicated more enegry and will to this.

The burning of Quran must happen on 9/11 by the Christians, so the veil shall be removed, the wolf shall come out of the lambs cloths. The World shall know that not only Muslims are fanatics and Extremists.

Rajaah.. the world already knew that.. nearly most of sectarian folks (Sunnis, SHiites, Catholics, JW, whatever) are indeed lunatics, stupid, fanatics and extremists. But the good thing is that those sectarian lunatics had a tendency to kill each other! Which is good!
A self-elimination! The world will definitely be a better world without their presences

though it is Man made? Can Muslims burn Bible in their countries?

Yes of course why not?? Muslims can burn any book they wanted (Quran, Bible, Torah, Newsweek, Time Magazine) in the good ol' USA! As long as they own the book that is! and not somebody else's book.

Whatever the case, I think we shall support the burning of Quranic copies, so the truth may prevail.

I neither support or against it.. I just think that it is a stupid thing to do...

What made TJ stop burning the Quran after all that stunt?
Yes it is stupid thing, but in this way many ignorant Europeans who only think that there are fanatics in Muslims can see the other side of coin, any way it went on if not through Terry Jones, through another fanatic.
I just want the real side of these Christians come out, they are hiding under the umbrella of civilized society but in their minds Many Many out there are as fanatics as may be Some Muslims.

Remember George Bush Junior calling the war on Iraq and Iran as Crusades, and Majority of the Good OL American society supporting him.

Rajaah.. the world already knew that.. nearly most of sectarian folks (Sunnis, SHiites, Catholics, JW, whatever) are indeed lunatics, stupid, fanatics and extremists. But the good thing is that those sectarian lunatics had a tendency to kill each other! Which is good!
A self-elimination! The world will definitely be a better world without their presences
Yes of course why not?? Muslims can burn any book they wanted (Quran, Bible, Torah, Newsweek, Time Magazine) in the good ol' USA! As long as they own the book that is! and not somebody else's book.

I neither support or against it.. I just think that it is a stupid thing to do...

                                          Peace,
                                          Respect.

                                          I disagree.
I think they shouldn't kill themselves out, self-elimination would be wrong, why not set an example, a good exmaple, so that they can see what they can be and maybe they will join us in goodness, God willing, you never know. God knows best.

                                          Let's not call names, bro.
                                          Qur'an 4911.

                                          Peace. handshake
