-->Twin suicide bombings killed 59 in in Afghanistan as the specter of sectarian violence now looms over Afghanistan.
http//www.freep.com/article/20111206/NEWS07/112060389/Iraqi-militants-bomb-Shi-ite-pilgrims-killing-21-wounding-100-->Five bomb attacks struck Shi'ite pilgrims Monday during an important religious ritual for the Muslim sect, killing 21 people and wounding nearly 100 others.
http//rt.com/news/afghanistan-suicide-bombing-sectarian-165/A chilling joke was the below news
-->Pakistan's interior minister has " thanked the Taliban" for not staging attacks during this year's Shiite religious ritual of Ashoura. Sunni extremists like the Taliban have often killed Shiites they regard as infidels over the Ashoura period, which ends Tuesday and passed peacefully in Pakistan.

What is so great about posting what is widely coverd in the mass media already, instead it would be better for you to ponder upon why and since when these suicide bombing started and who is actully bhind them.

Peace Edip,
An interesting proposition. I was wondering if you tested whether or not this holds true consistently as a meaning pattern with other words in Quran.

No I just dont really care about Muhammad because I never met or knew that man. The only thing i Know about him is that he was just another good muslim like thousands of other good muslims. I follow quran just as he did, hence me and him are both on the same positions or levels.

The people of the past, the people of Mecca living at the time of revelation of Qur'aan also upheld the Qur'aan and orally and publicly confessed "We have heard it and have willingly and affectionately accepted it". Amongst them are people who are and will by the end time considered as greater in ranks than all other beings taking birth and living in time and space.
Yet they were advised and warned

lest your deeds become worthlessBelief in Allah, the Exalted and all good deeds could go into dustbin as worthless merely for reason of raising voice and being loud in mouth about and for him.
What would happen to very loud mouths on this forum might not be an hidden secret. However still they have time to repent and amend thinking and habits before it is too late. Alternatively, for good and in sympathy, I can suggest that they need not proclaim as believers while retaining such mouth, which could help them to "enjoy" a somewhat better class in Hell-Prison and have company of Iblees. Proclamation of belief with loud mouth against the Messenger of Allah, the Exalted will yield the worst place, worst than the class of Iblees in Hell-Prison.
Who will go to Paradise? The Muttaqeen. And what is the litmus test to find who is Muttaqe? The Litmus test of identification is defined and prescribed by Allah, the Exalted.

492 O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the prophet, nor shall you speak loudly at him as you would speak loudly to each other, lest your works become nullified while you do not perceive.
493 Surely, those who lower their voices with the messenger of God, they are the ones whose hearts have been tested by God for righteousness. They have deserved forgiveness and a great recompense. -

That's your problem if you do not care about our prophet. There are many like you, on this website, doing their damndest to undermine the Prophet Muhammad for one reason or another, but those who read the Qur'an properly do get to know Muhammad. And no; he was no just another muslim like you nope Can you ever reach the same level or position as the one God granted to Prophet Muhammad? No you're insignificant just as I am, so much so that it makes no difference what you or I think!

Mazhar,
You are qouting verses about respecting prophet Muhammed, but if you are following hadith books, you are among the most disrespectful people towards the prophet Muhammed, since they contain numerous insults and lies against him. Ironically, with this mindset of following religious fabrications, superstitions and sectarian dogmas, if you were alive when Muhammed was delivering the message of MONOTHEISM, reason, freedom, you would be among those who accused him of heresy!
Moreover, those who follow the fabricated hadith books and sectarian dogmas will be rejected by the very prophet they expect intercession 2530.

Edip,
Have you ever noticed in my posts a reference and reliance placed on a single one of what is called hadith?
You have accepted that I am quoting only from Qur'aan. And I believe and accept all, not partially, what is stated in the Qur'aan, including respecting and honouring whomever it orders to afford respect, dignity and salutations.

Allah can exalt us.. we are his ultimate creation.. thats why he demanded the Shaytan to submit to us... WE are supposed to be greater than the sin, the fitna.. that Shaytan represents.. Allah can exalt the prophets of islam if he wills.. he exalted Nuh, Ibrahim , Musa , Isa and Muhammed..
It is a BIG difference when WE exalt other people !!! We have no such authority to do that..
Allah sub7an wa ta3la and Muhamed salawatul wa salem WA TA3LA ???? Exalted ??? Excuse me ? Only Allah is exalted !!!
Imagine that ! how Muslims freak out when the Christians say Jesus should be Exalted... some say like God others say like a partner with God.. but when muslims are criticized for doing the same with Muhammed, they cry out Kafir ! from the top of their lungs.. no, they dont like to hear the truth do they ????
Its like, these people seriosuly do not what idol worship is.. We are not saying that you all ( traditional muslims) worship Muhammad like God or like a son of God ( astaghfirulah) We are simply saying that you have digressed into a more sophisticated form of idol worship one that is so cunning it is not obvious at first. But inshallah with time, you all will realize how wrong and "bid'a" it is to give preference to Muhammed and Hadith only.. praising him with words like " May he be exalted" "May he be praised"
We are not supposed to idolize a man... no matter how great of a character that one man may have, all praise, all glory should be to God alone...Peace / Salaam / Paz !

Where do read in the Quran telling you to SAY or WRITE "Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam" after Muhammed's name?

EdipPeace,
I may tell you another point, that I do not write or add anything in the parenthesis which is not mentioned in the Qur'aan.
I know that you do understand the menings of individual words in Arabic sentences of Qur'aan.
The Last three words are the predicate of Verb Like Particle Inna. You perhaps know that Inna is for emphasising the authenticity and certainity of the predicate. One of the Subject of the verb is Allah, the Exalted.
is definite, referring and identifying whom? Muhammad, with whom I have written in the parenthesis "Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'"- Have I lied or actually accepted and highlighted a truth mentioned about him in the Qur'aan?
Should you not accept me the most truthful? Reason!! The verb in above informative statement of Qur'aan is imperfect plural with indicative mood. I have written the same verb as singular Perfect, past tense where the subject is Allah, the Exalted. Muhammad "Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'" is not corporeally with me, for this reason the verb used is perfect. -

Muhammad "Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'" is not corporeally with me, for this reason the verb used is perfect. You are just parrotign one of the many Sunni distortions. Here are my counter arguments in three notes at the Quran a Reformist Translation.
2136 Say, "We acknowledge God and what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Patri-archs, what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make a distinction between any of them and to Him we peacefully surrender."*
002136 See 2285. The verse is a refuta-tion of the innovation of adding words of praise after Muhammed's name. The verse tells us to mention the names of prophets without praising them. Those who worship Muhammed might seek an excuse in the fact that Muhammed's name is not mentioned here. However, the verse preemptively refutes such an argument by instructing us not to discriminate among God's prophets. Those who praise Mu-hammed's name with fabricated lengthy phrases are not followers of Muhammed, since Muhammed was a monotheist who invited people to praise God and submit to God alone, not himself. See 248; 3356.
3356 God and His controllers support the prophet. O you who acknowledge, you shall support him, and yield completely.*
033056 This verse is one of the most distorted and abused verses. We translated the word salli ala as "support/encourage." The same word occurs at 3343 and 999,103. When these verses are studied comparatively, the traditional abuse and distortion becomes evident. Through this distortion, Muslim masses are led to commemorate and praise Muhammed's name day and night, rather than his Lord's and Master's name (3341-42). Also, see 2157.
3343 He is the One who supports you, along with His controllers, to lead you out of darkness into the light. He is ever Compassionate towards those who acknowledge.
999 From the Arabs there is he who acknowledges God and the Last day, and considers his spending as a means towards God, and the support of the messenger. It indeed makes them closer. God will admit them in His mercy; God is Forgiving, Compassionate.*
9100 The pioneers of the emigrants and the supporters, and those who fol-lowed them in kindness; God has accepted them, and they have ac-cepted Him; and He prepared for them gardens with rivers flowing beneath in which they will abide eternally. Such is the great success.
9101 Among the Arabs around you are hypocrites, as well as from the city people; they are audacious in hypocrisy. You do not know them, but We know them. We will punish them twice, then they will be returned to a great punishment.
9102 Others who have acknowledged their sins, they have mixed good work with bad. Perhaps God will pardon them. God is Forgiving, Compassionate.
9103 Take from their money a charity to purify them and improve them with it, and support them. Your support is tranquility for them; and God is Hearer, Knowledgeable.009099-103 This verse exposes one of the most popular distortions made in the meaning of salla ala (to support, encour-age), which has been transformed into glorifying Muhammed's name day and night. See 3343,56 and 2136.

Peace peace
One Fact is that in ALL of the times that the word "Nabi" is mentioned, it was during when he was still ALIVE. (e.g. Don't Raise your voices above the Prophet)
Thus it can be concluded that one cannot "Saly" on the Nabi right now since he is Dead.
God Has Forgiven him as per 482 and this might mean that The Prophet Muhammed is going to heaven.***IN ANY MEANS People are NOT helping the Prophet by stating "Sala allahu 3alayhi wasalam" (God HAS "sali" on him, and bestowed peace upon).
***Otherwise, tell me, how is saying that each time you hear the Prophet's name help him in any way?
-
Who is the Lexiographer who said that this verb means support
Do you really need this Mazhar? You have a God-given brain. Here is a suggestion
Instead of "support" try using the letter X for the unknown. Then, read all the three verses and see which meaning fits all easily? Then, pay attention in all three verses where SALLI ALA is mentioned. SEE that NONE use the instruction SAY! Then, read verse 2136 and note that it starts with the instruction SAY (Qul)!
Unfortunately
-
You ignore the other two verses where Muhammed was instructed to Salli Ala his friends. Where God and His angels Salli Ala us, that is you and me!
-
You ADD a fabricated instruction, SAY, in the beginning of one of the verses.
-
You IGNORE the instruction SAY in the beginning of 2136 where we are instructed to call prophets by their names, wihtout adding fabricated words of praise.
So, my dear friend
You have problem with the Quran and your reasoning faculty. Your problem cannot be cured by this or that dictionary. I hope you take heed from the verses of the Quran.
PS The comment made by youssef4342 is excellent and his question is instructive.

The Text comprises of words which are knit together. It is not hit and trial exercise. Words have predetermined meanings and perception. It is not game of placing X for the unknown. These are gimmicks when people are confronted with specific realities.
The question was from which lexicon did you take the meaning "Support" for your translation?

MazharLet?s assume that God is sending blessing on Prophet 3356...Let?s say God is saying ?bless on you oh prophet? although this is a slogan and God is above that. To Him is ?Be and it is '.........Okay ,now how you Mazhar obey God by sending blessing on/to prophet?! Oh yes you say ?Our Lord send your blessing upon him/prophet?!...Helloooooo God is asking you do it not that asking Him in doing it for you!!!?Do you see how it?s absurd in asking God in doing it for you since He's asking you doing it, instead you yourself sending blessing from your own power which you don?t have any you ask God in doing so!!!
This is like the case in verse 523-24
Two men who were reverent and blessed by GOD said, "Just enter the gate. If you just enter it, you will surely prevail. You must trust in GOD, if you are believers."
They said, "O Moses, we will never enter it, so long as they are in it. Therefore, go - you and your Lord - and fight. We are sitting right here."
