Converting Iraqi Muslims to Christianity

If you remember Iraq never had Sharia law enforced, Sadam Hussian like Asad of Syria was from Baath party so Shria cannot be the reason for their conversion.i don't speak german or arabic to watch the video that confused brought up. has anyone asked these iraqi muslims why the conversion to christianity?
sharia laws need not be enforced as a reason for conversion or turning people away/off. personally, i know people who were born and raised as muslims who left the religion because of the beliefs and practices of mainstream islam which is based on such hadiths. grateful to God, i didn't leave but came to learn the truth about Islam. just the same, i know non-muslims interested in learning about islam come to reject or be turned away/off. if i were a non-muslim, surely i would be too.

If Iraqi or others Muslims who left Islam were really interested in finding out the truth like you did they would have found it. Was it perhaps more convinient for them to convert and conform to the occupying forces in their country, similar to what happened with non Muslims during the Islamic empire.

Allah know best.as human beings we all need to feel connected. we are social beings. sense of belonging is comforting as well as acceptance. why are you here? why am i here on this forum? generally speaking, people tend to conform and follow. also we are raised that way. to follow and not question. feeling like you don't fit in is a lonely feeling. it is a negative feeling. now, if you question established practices, rules, ways of life...well you stand the chance of being ostracized, ridiculed, shot down, disowned. this has been my experience and i am sure others can relate. when you don't run with the herd and leave then you will find that you are alone, not having the perks/benefits/protection of the crowd/community. this may not be acceptable to many.
you and i may have issues with certain beliefs, ways of life, rules or laws whereas most may not. when you are content, why would you need to find or look for anything else? if you are not content and someone else comings along and presents something that is more appealing, likely you will go with that. for some finding and upholding the truth simply doesn't matter. let's not forget, satan is in play whose goal is to lead people astray.

You have summed up what is described in the Quran regarding every prophet, who refused to be part of the herd and their strong faith in God made them reject perks/benefits/protection of the crowd/community. Those stories related to us were not for narrations only, but the standard for us to follow. Of course Satan is at play whose goal is to instill fear of rejection poverty, loss and death and Allah reassures us that those who have faith have nothing to fear.

What they most feared of is actually the rise and growth of Shiaism which is evident as we speak now in Iraq. (Majority of Iraqis are Shiites) and not Xtianity.. 65% of population are shiites yet for many decades they have been oppressed and suppressed by the Sunnis minority... orchestrated by Saddam Hussein and also Hashemite kingdom in the past.. Shiites 'holy cities' of Nejaf and Karbala are situated in Iraq... which is the 'place' for them to commemorate the 'treacherousness' of the sunnis..
Third, the clueless Kentucky, Lousiana, Texas rednecks most definitely will try to do 'missionary' works in Iraq. But I don't believe they will go very far.... they will face strong resistance NOT from the sunnis or shiites but mostly from the Orthodox and Catholics natives in Iraq.

Agreed. the war in Iraq was aimed at establishing a relatively pro-Israel democracy in the middle east. Too bad most of the intelligence officials who came up with this idea didn't even know the difference between a sunni and a shi'a. Democracy is going to backfire on the neo-cons once it spreads. If Egypt ever gets truly democratic elections, that will be obvious.

Do the Iraqis a favour and don't convert them to either one. The Western version of Christianity is just as bad. Just read European history or the old testament for evidence. I really hope that these Iraqis become atheists or that they at least apply critical thinking. The fact that there are Western missionaries converting others to their barbaric religion is indeed a Western attack on Iraq. As long as nobody bothers using critical thinking these Western barbarians will easily convert others to their primitive religion. I pity those that leave Islam for Christianity. If they become atheists that's understable but Christians? That's like going from square one to square one lol. Good job nobody is impressed. It's honestly very common among South-Asians to do that. The Iraqis shouldn't do the same mistake. And those who expect the Iraqis to remain Muslims, pls stfu. They can leave Islam anytime they want to. Iraq has a civilization that is much older than any religion.
Western Christians have realized that their religion is not taken seriously anymore in the West so they try to modernise it by acting as if there prophets or God is all-forgiving and has modern ethics and morals in order to gain more converts in the West. Sure Christianity could get many converts but it is not in the West, ever wondered why? Wherever education prevails, religion dies. Christianity is a disease for sure.
