Salaam Sunnah-zero and welcome back to the forum handshake,
I am very happy to read you have found AlSiraat AlMustaqeem, inshaAllah you will walk on it till your last breath pr
Don't be ashamed of your old post, no mumin will ever use it against you inshaAllah. We are not Firaun.
Most of us all began the same as you, we also preached sunnism (or any other religion) with full conviction to others.
And I am almost sure next year you will also not agree with most of your posts of today. We are all learning and changing (=growing) our views, sometimes small changes sometimes "revolutionary" ideas.Salaam,
BenderYou are right. Inte maghreby ?

Yes hihi I ment student of Allah . He explained to me that ulama aren't "experts" as they read the same Quran as us and therefore what they say are nothing more then pure opinions and that they aren't scientific as well since there is no science over "science of Hadith".
Yesss UK is Mecca of sunnism as you call it , when I made dawa UK was my favorite place. In Spain most marroccans aren't religious at all, in fact they don't care about sharia neither do they care about ulama. They are mostly just Muslims by culture and Islam is for them is mostly just celebrating eid. Most of the marroccans I know I Spain litterly just laughed at me and asked me to "get a life" when I was doing dawa. So I visited holland where my mothers brother live and there is many marroccans in holland but 90% of all I met were not religious either, in fact one marroccan guy even told me that "I wasn't welcome" in holland! So I litterly fled to UK just to give my dawa a last chance and I was so so surprised that UK is just the opposite of Spain and holland.. I saw many Muslim women wearing hijab and niqaab in UK and many men having beard.. Not only that, many Pakistanis and Indians also came to listen to me and they were all so extreme Sunnis like myself. I used to sit with them and backbite the European society .. How the European women looked like whores and how they would all go to hell .. And how they are in war against Islam.. Many of the Muslims in UK who I spoke to openly supported sharia and they would tell me that sharia is actually being implemented in UK by sharia courts and soon inshallah UK would become a sharia state. We also tried to call kafir murdads to dawa but when we preached dawa to them we would always be careful about not mentioning anything offending to them.. WE Wont reveal our deep detest for them neither would we reveal any negativity about Islam to them.. The trick is to use straw man fallacy and talk with them about matters which most human beings would agree to and to emphasize and exaggerate the problems in the west. For instance we would exaggerate the rape statistics in UK and then provide hijab as a solution.. But in the same time be careful not to mention the rape statistics in Saudi Arabia (which is much higher) or reveal to them that you need 4 witnesses to prove a rape ... Or to mention that rape is allowed during war time through slavery.. And we would preach that Islam didn't have priesthood as they have in Christianity and carefully avoid to mention the role of our ULAMA.. It was from the goat looking guy with the funny English accent called Zakir naik which we got all these ideas from .. I don't know if you know him . . I was in Manchester, York, Birmingham, Nottingham and just briefly in London . Everyone I met in UK would say "subhanallah subhanallah " everytime I said anything and they would proudly remind each other that I was only 14 years old but "subhanallah" had so much knowledge of Quran and sunnah. As an Arab I am fluent in Arabic so the Pakistanis and Indians had deep respect for me and come to me with questions about Islam . I really didn't wanted to return from UK, so when I returned to Spain I told my mother that I wanted to move to UK as I found "true" Muslims there. I was fed up by the marroccan murdads in Spain and holland who insulted me or laughed at me instead of supporting my dawa.
But when I spoke to student of Allah I became uncertain about my faith for the first Time and took a break from free minds in order to study the issue for mer which ultimately made me leave sunnism. Today I can see that the marroccans in Spain and holland was right while the Muslims in UK were a bunch of ignorant ungrateful haters as I was myself. I would just have hoped that the marroccans who I knew I Spain would have tried to help me out of sunnism instead of laughing at me, then I would perhaps have had left sunnism long ago.
I think it's only god who can help UK from the Sunni hell which exists there. One thing I never understood is why is the Muslims in UK so extreme in their religion compared to Muslims in other countries ?

Shalom Aleikhem Sunnah-Hero,
I am glad that you took the time to verify and study the topic yourself and come to your conclusion. I am happy that you did not take my word for it. I admire and envy your boldness and honesty about your past, what they brainwashed you into doing, dawah tactics ,etc.
I used to be a huge fan of Deedat and Naik. I still am, and I need not agree with all of their views for that. I would advice you not to use derogatory things to address them. That sounds like an Adhominem Attack. He could look like a decaying dead animal and still be more right than you, in other words, his arguments rise/fall on their own merits and independent of his looks. ) Here is a video of him explaining who to follow , shia or sunnis (Click). And here is my observation on that
Salam,
Its sad how in the video you can watch live injection of falsehood into Allah's mouth ( metaphorical mouth that is!! ).
"Hold to the rope of Allah strongly and be not divided"
Explanaton via injection of falsehood
"Hold to the rope of Allah >Dand Bukhari/Muslim/etc >D and be not divided"
I am sick and tired of explaining to his followers that when Qur'an agrees with me and disagrees with him, they are supposed to reject him and vote for the verse in the Qur'an. Really, is it so hard to understand ?
He got away with it !!! The guy that gives you 100s of references just to talk about water cycle in the Qur'an, this same guy did not bother to give you any reference or explanation as to why and how from "rope of Allah" we change it to "rope of Allah + the ropes offered by random Persian dudes".
I know this will be offtopic
Recently, I had a heated exchange with a sunni friend. I wasn't the hot one, it was the friend that could not control his anger. We discussed similar things that I discussed with you (Sunnah-Hero), you know, the science of hadith, obey the messenger, etc etc. He refused to answer or explain and simply ended the discussion saying something like "Well, I think its better that we stop the discussion here because I am losing my temper. If it was up to me and I had the power, I would make sure that people who shares your views be stopped by the state by force. You see, hmm.. I think, given enough time, we should be able to tell which one of us is on the right path. We will be able to see that in future (in our lifetime)"
I was shocked by this super kind, compassionate and nice friend's words. Those hate mongers managed to turn him into one of them. I asked if he would give me a reason why he would use state power to stop me, he refused to answer. (He knows that to answer that he has to refute the points I made about "science" of hadith, etc) I also asked him how in the world would he be able to judge between us in future ? I asked him about his criteria for judgement. He refused to answer, but I forced him to. Finally he said "Well, I think it shows". To which ofcourse I replied "What shows ?". His silence bares witness that he understood that he was using his subjective feelings to judge between right and wrong, not a clear criteria set by God.
There are many sunnis today, some of them knowingly and others ignorantly, promoting the introduction of SHARIAH in the western civilization. Thats something I stand against firmly for I am not willing to go back to the caves. It took a lot of hard work and thousands of years for us to achieve this height of civilization, I can not afford to trade this achievement for living like "ignorant and barbaric dessert Arabs".
May peace be with you

I am not fan of Zakir, he lied and deceived me as well as thousand of others like me so why shall I be a fan of him or even respect him?
Are you a male or female?
I was like your friend or maybe worse. See, he could logically realize that you was right but due to his emotional attachment to sunnism he felt offended by you and would wish that he could keep you silent by power so that he wont be confronted with the fallacies of sunnism again. Most sunnis are sunnis do to feelings, not logic.

I must thank you for helping me out of sunnism. You are someone I wont forget.

whateverI don't know how to begin.
My name is Wael. My mother is from marrocco and my father is Lebanese. Although my father is a Shia, my mom raised me to become a Sunni as herself. She even sent me to marrocco, in her native town called TIZNIT, for a year when i was 12 and it was there I became very religious. My aunt is a SHARIFA as we call it in Morrocco, it's a person who is allegedly from the prophet Muhammad's family, so some of my family members was very religious Sunnis. As I am born and raised up in Spain (that's the reason for why my English is so bad. So excuse my English) I always needed a place to belong to. In Spain I felt myself marroccan, and in vacations in Lebanon I felt myself marroccan but when I was in marrocco I didn't really felt myself home either. So I was searching for an identity. When i expressed my frustration to My mother who is a religious Sunnia, she would tell me that there is nothing called Spanish, marroccan or Lebanese but only something called Muslim and non Muslim . That made me comfortable. I was a Muslim and that became my identity. When I was sent to marrocco by my mother as a 13 years old, my family would increase my faith in sunnism and when I came back I began to wear jellaba(I don't know what it's called in English?) and the Islamic cap and I would follow all the rules in my religion. My mother was very happy for me but my father being a Shia was very dissatisfied with me following My mothers religion (sunnism) . He used to say "In our Arab tradition the son follow the father so you have to be Shia like me, not Sunni like your mother" . But I didn't cared about what my father said, as i was raised by my maternal family to become a Sunni and I was convinced that sunnism was the truth. Moreover my aunt was a SHARIFA which for me proved that I was on the right track. When I was 14 years old I begin doing DAWA(I don't know what it's called in English?) but most marroccans here in Spain aren't religious I began to travel abroad in order to give dawa with some of my friends, I was in holland, in Denmark , in Germany and UK where many Sunnis praised me for having so deep knowledge of sunnah and fosha compared to my age. In UK I found many religious Sunnis who praise me to the skies and for me UK Was my favorite place in Europe as it had sharia courts and as I saw many religious Muslims there. However my biggest idol was a goat looking man called zakir naik. I was a very close minded teenage, and also a sexist women hater. Women were nothing more then a sexual object created to lead us to do zina. So I felt it was best women were kept in their homes and if they went out they should be completely covered. I also felt disgust by non Muslims, they would go to hell, and by Muslims I regarded murdads quranist, Shia, alawi and so on. But deep inside myself I felt like I was missing something.... Watching my Spanish class mates do simple activities like listening to music made me feel sick to my stomach.. I remember some marroccan songs I loved to hear in my childhood but would deny myself to hear now since It was haram. But I made my heart hard as a stone I found comfort when my sheikh praised me for being strong enough to say no to music.
My cousine from Morrocco visited me in Spain and told me that he had became a quranist. I demanded to know who made him kafir ? He mentioned free minds, said that he followed free minds but didn't really participate in the discussions but he had followed free minds and was convinced that Hadith were a fabrication. I then joined free minds, thinking that I could convert each and every murdad on that page back to Islam and sunnah but I felt in talk with someone named soldier of Allah. He litterly shattered my belief. First he made me realize that the ulama who I used to believe and follow blindly were not experts as I thought. He was a very though Provocing guy who made me realize that there is nothing scientific over science of Hadith.
I then took a break and studied everything on my own, and everything soldier of Allah said just made more and more sense. As a last resort, I tried to read the Quran without having any Hadith or sunnah in mind in order to see whether Quran can be understood without Hadith and sunnah and surprisingly I was actually able to read the whole Quran and understand it without sunnah and Hadith! The "problem" is just that my understanding of Quran was VERY DIFFERENT without sunnah than the understanding I had with sunnah in my mind. And going back to free minds and reading all my privious post was just so embarrassing, I sounded like a stupid fundamentalist.I am still searching. Bislama.
Praise be to God Lord of Universe.

A simple question; does it matter and how would you your opinion about student of Allah change if you knew his/her sexual identity?Like I always thought huruf to be a man but just yesterday got the shocking news that huruf is a lady.
Why were you shocked? I would appreciate a reflective reply to these questions as these are not feminist arguments but simply questions about forum members who you do not meet in person and whose opinions are free from preconceived notions.
Thanks in advance -
Shalom Aleikhem,
Thank you for your kinds words. I didnt mentioned Deedat so why do you say 'them'?
Well, you can forget about that. I only mentioned Deedat because I wanted to and Zakir's works are largely based on Deedat's. Not original.
I am not fan of Zakir, he lied and deceived me as well as thousand of others like me so why shall I be a fan of him or even respect him?
You don't have to be his fan or respect him for what he does. But name calling is not justified. Name calling is juvenile. And on itself, its not an argument or a refutation against the person, but slander.

Praise due to Lord, the cherisher and sustainer of the universe. The way I see it, my words had their effect because you actually bothered to read them and try to tackle it intellectually. I feel lucky because all I had to do is present you ayaats from the Qur'an and reason wisely. Thats it. The rest was entirely up to you and God.
I hope you don't stop and you question everything and everyone and walk the path of the righteous.
