Gay Marriage Has Been Legalized in France

Ok.........I will try to re-phrase my question.
What is the interpretation of homosexuality in the dictionary?
Where in the Quran can we find the same or similar description?
You openly reject Quran which says many times that homosexuality is forbidden. I'm really insulted as a muslim everytime when someone says that homosexuality isn't forbidden in islam despite verses in Quran which clearly talks against homosexuality as a one of the biggest sins.
I will copy few verses one more time maybe you will understand, one day.
Qur'an 26165
"What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, and leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are forward folk."Qur'an 781
"Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people."Qur'an 2755
"Will you indeed approach males in lust excluding women?"Qur'an 2929
"Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah , if you should be of the truthful." -
I think there is no reason not to think that the old woman who is alluded to in 37.135 is the same woman that the messengers, when addressing Lut himself call his wife. The context is different. in the caso of the messengers addressing Lut, they are telling him about somebody who he knows well is close to him. Whereas en 37.135 we are being tol of a whole lot of prophets and their experiences and we are told thaxt all the adherents of Lut left with him except an old woman who was of those who stayed behind.
Then how abot 783
"We saved him and his family, except for his ; she was of those who were destroyed."I think each verses in the Quran correlated each other, and I think too if the old woman is Luth's wife.
Conclusion
Qur'an 26165
"What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, and leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are forward folk."
Qur'an 781
"Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people."Peace Sonny.
You're dead in the term of straight point in this debate. The funny things about you is you repeatedly posted the verses about Luth in many pages without care about another reply.
So that's why bro Emil also repeatedly posted about don't take the verse literally , but it seems you ignored his advice. That's why this discussion never go to the straight point.Myself is not a pro-gay activist nor ever befriend with them, but I sympatize with them after reading some articles from scientist or psycollogyst, that born gay is exist. Not all gay to be categorized as adultery except Sodom's case.
I already told you, that faahisya in 780 is homosexuality, because homosexs already happened before Luth's era, but it seems you ignore it.You ignore and avoid the posts that actually tackle your argument but replying or quote the post which you considered as "weak".

I understand you feel strongly about this topic, but others might too. Based on their interpretation, the Quran does not condemn homosexuality - women approaching women are not included which can be significant - and they do not want to say something about the Quran that might not be true. They are simply using some caution.
Out of interest, according to the views of 'traditional' Muslims, do you think its acceptable for them to call us disbelievers for following the Quran only?

Is it because you will be caught in a trap? You say that homosexuality is forbidden according to the Quran. I ask you what homosexuality means. Anyone capable of opening a dictionary can answer that so what I am asking of you is not a tall order.
If you want to forbid homosexuality by a literal interpretation of the Quran, then the Quran must encompass the meaning of homosexuality......Which it doesnt so I can only take your refusal as a sign that you have realized this, therefore instead of admitting to your misunderstanding you keep posting the same verses over and over again.

Peace Reee,
Sorry that you were offended, the meaning I wanted to get forth is that females are often more open to this kind of relationship, ie lesbian contact, and that even if they are not truly born homosexual but rather vain desire. This is from my observation and it might be that females are more open about their activities and in truth the likelihood is the same between the sexes. It is particularly popular to be so-called bisexual and that seems to be more prominent in females, however I might be wrong due to the varying openness about the behavior.
Secondly, if you read that it would be more vain in females I must have formulated myself poorly. It is the same level of vainness in both males and females, and I do not know how you came to this conclusion from my text.
Finally, in the beginning of my post I was addressing those who engage in homosexual activity without being born homosexual and not those who are born that way. That is why I call it vain desire.
There are two types of people, some born that way and some who get lured into this activity. It seems like many people can innately be attracted by the same sex, so it can be a sinful behavior too.
Hope this clarification plus my original post sorts things out.
God bless you
Salam Man of Faith
It seems you didn't get my point. If you just look at the media, it may seem that lust, vain desire (get as much as you can from whoever it is) is the main thing in homosexual acts, but if you know people personnally, you see they (at least the ones I know) just want to have a partner who understands them instead of suppressing them. i can live wihtout "it" as long as I don't find a man who accepts and respects me as equal, but I understand many can't or don't want, and then a loving partner of the same sex might be better that an unhealthy, destroying partnership with the opposite sex. That's why I don't care so much about this "born or not born" argument. -
I was born muslim and I'm muslims my entire life and now some western people who are not muslims at all and have no idea what islam is teaching me about my faith, about islam. Please , GTFO
Your avatar is full of rage and you are full of rage. What is that to do with islam?
No matter how enraged you get, you are not going to be God nor people are going to be impressed with your bad manners and lack of adab. Some might even think that you are a closet gay. But, I do not know, you might even take that as a compliment. Raging people are very hard to guess.

I have nothing about people who follow Quran only, the problem is that people are trying to say that homosexuality is allowed despite clear verses in Quran which says that is not and there was not homosexuality recorded before sodom and gomorrah.
They use "weapons" like "born gay" to apologize their gay sisters and friends but it won't work.
If there are "born gay" people than why there is no gay people in my family, never was and never will be - because we are real muslims, gay people are only in families that lost connection with God.So if "born gay" is true, why there is no gays in my family or my friends families, why only in western cultures?
-
Peace Reee,
Well, my writing covers both questions. If it is voluntary then it is sinful, just to cover up for bad experiences with the opposite sex. You rather need therapy and try to find the better partner.
Born gay is also possible and that is a bit more tricky.
God bless you

So if "born gay" is true, why there is no gays in my family or my friends families, why only in western cultures?
Maybe because they are afraid to tell you. With your dogmatic approach can't say I blame them.
Still not answering questions, brother? Sorry that I keep asking you (it is starting to become ridicilous, I know). Like a captain at the helm you refuse to abandon your sinking ship, I respect that.

As Quran says Allah gave us stories of prophets who lived before us to be lesson for us and coming generations. I have showed you story of prophet Lut(pbuh) and 4 verses of Quran which openly reject homosexuality but you denied it. So if I show you 100. of other proofs u will try to find excuse to apologize other people.
Your sister is lesbian and you should love her but it does not mean she is right.

Thanks for sharing your story. Unfortunately, your story is not an isolated case. I know of similar stories.
It is not homosexuality per se that destroyed your family. What destroyed the family are the actions of people. The action of family members beating the gay out of your father who felt pressured to lie to himself and others. Did your mom know that your dad was gay before she married him? If she knew and yet married him then that is a mistake she made that resulted in pain. If she didn't
know, then she was lied to by your father and his family who knowingly allowed the marriage to your mother take place. The marriage was not based on honesty from the start. Your father's infidelity caused pain. If your father did not act on his homosexuality or at least had an open talk with your mom divorcing her first, would it have resulted in as much pain? also, the man he was having an affair with was acting on his selfish desires not thinking about how his actions could cause pain to your mom, to you and others. The lies and deceit caused pain - not the homosexuality. It is not fair to exclusively blame your dad and his sexuality. Those who tried to beat the gay out of him and pressuring him to conform also need to take responsibility and accountability of the consequences of their actions that lead to so much pain to so many people. If your father's sexuality was accepted or he was not pressured to conform, would it have resulted in what it did?
Didn't your mom have a clue? Did she not find something was amiss? Usually there are warning signs or a sense that something is not right or doesn't feel right. Often women tend to ignore these feelings, voices, etc not acting on them. Did your mom confront her feelings if she did have them? I know couples who felt totally blindsided by infidelity but the red flags were there and usually denial or refusal to see are strong defense mechanisms.
Blaming others are also strong defense mechanisms. In cases of homosexuality, we need to stop this blame game and confront the real problem at hand. It is problem of nonacceptance for whatever the reasons - may it be religious or otherwise. The problem of intolerance often all done in the name of God.
it is one's own prejudices, selfishness, ego, arrogance and ignorance that result in pain.
You are right. It was his actions. My mom did not know before hand. She told me she saw some signs near the end, but though perhaps it was an affair with another women, when she confronted him and them found solid proof she divorced him immediately. Had my mom known or my dad not pressured who knows if my sister and I would have been born. I accept gays, I have gay friends, but they will have to answer for their lifestyle, not me, but I will have to answer for my behavior. I also do believe that some are born this way, there is too much evidence for me to ignore. How can you change who you are attracted to??
Anyway Allah knows better than me.

Peace Family,
Once we get past the bias and prejudices, we can discuss our position concerning
laws concerning homosexuals, since that group is real and not allegorical
and they live among us. Since we are religious folk, we have the benefit of both secular
as well as religious laws to comtemplate. I have found no laws regarding regarding
homosexuals in the Quran. If anyone can make an unemotional contribution regarding
how gays should be treated I would like for you to share your opinion with the rest of us.peace

and there was not homosexuality recorded before sodom and gomorrah.
Yes looks like you must study more about homosexuality.
Yes according Emil says, you must learn first about what the real definition of "homosexualty" before judging it's fully haram. So if "born gay" is true, why there is no gays in my family or my friends families, why only in western cultures?
You're totally wrong, even my country is Muslim majority, the gay community existed in here and they often attending International gay conference , and ever became host of it.
Not only my country, another asian county has gay communities too.peace

"What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, and leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are forward folk."
This verse clearly indicates that they were married men, and thus heterosexual. Only heterosexual married men would leave their wives for another; a homosexual man would have no wife to leave!!
"Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah , if you should be of the truthful."
This verse clearly indicates RAPE. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah APPROACHED the male travelers and OBSTRUCTED their path and COMMITTED EVIL.
NOTE That the actions of only one party has been condemned - Those of the men of the city. The male travelers HAVE NOT been condemned - meaning that they committed NO wrong doing!! IF their actions were condemned along with the actions of the men of Sodom and Gomorrah, then this would clearly indicate that the sexual nature of the incidences which took place were mutual in nature. BUT this is not the case - only the actions of the men of the city are condemned as evil and hence THEIR defiant stand against the prophet and almighty god!
The women of Sodom and Gomorrah did nothing to stop the actions of the men. Instead showing solidarity with them in their defiance against the prophet and god; therefore COMPLICIT in the evil and thus destroyed along with their menfolk!
This is why the situation at Sodom and Gomorrah is described by almighty god as one which has never been committed before by any other society - the rape of men by other men- the scale of the evils being committed was just so great!!
Peace
Azhar.

I concur to what you said, the Sodomites and Gomoorahnese performed robbery and anal penetrating gang rapes.
But I have doubt whether it's actually "the vilest act which never been committed before by any other society".Because just 'across the door', their neighbor, the babylonian perform "Impalement",
Few centuries later, the Islamic caliphates of Ottoman re-introduce the more brutal act into their society. This time around it's vertical impalement, where the stake was inserted into the victim's ass. The method guarantees slow and painful death (approx 3-4 days of agony before death)
http//upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7c/Empalement.jpg/220px-Empalement.jpg
If the Sodomites and Gomorahnese is generally condemned for their vile act and brutality..
Then what about Islamic caliphates of Ottoman? And in the past, "Islamic Caliphates" performed the same brutal and anal-penetrating punishment (impalement) towards 'gays'.
So who committed evil here? The gays? (for penetrating their partner's arse with tiny and soft stake) or the straight impaling the gays?Salam / Peace

@Jafar
It was in reference to the following verse "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?"I used the word evil, as that was the word used in the verse that i had posted. In hindsight i should have just posted the above verse....would have made more sense.
It is very easy to be in the majority and condemn a minority. The actions of the societies of which you talk about are in clear violation of what God almighty has decreed in his book. God tells us repeatedly to not transgress the limits and to act in a just and righteous manner. We are never told to impale anyone. So why did they do it??? Well you would have to start with their understanding of Al-Quran - What exactly are they following?? Of course we know where it all comes from.

Peace

Yes it is about rape/adultery/fahisyaa and has nothing to do with homosexuality.
Few centuries later, the Islamic caliphates of Ottoman re-introduce the more brutal act into their society. This time around it's vertical impalement, where the stake was inserted into the victim's ass. The method guarantees slow and painful death (approx 3-4 days of agony before death)
