710 And We have certainly established you upon the earth and made for you therein ways of livelihood. Little are you be thankful.
Note First thing, we should be profusely thankful to Allah for all that He had showered upon us from the heavens; and much more is what we are promised from the skies as the source of our sustenance on earth and of all that we are promised for our living. When we were made to descend from heavenly life to earth, Allah said to Adam and His generations that He would keep sending His guidance down upon them; and whoever follows it with full of thanks shall neither fear nor grieve. Allah further says He does not benefit a thing by punishing us if only we are believers in Him alone and be ever thankful to Him. This is the established way of Allah according to 710.
And upon the earth we turn to east or west, or whichever way we might turn to, there is the guidance of Allah for those who believe in Him alone and give-thanks. If only we follow the established way of Allah on this earth no evil shall befall us.
Coming to modern medicine, whichever direction you may think in term of diagnoses and treatment, there is agony and misery. Every medicine causes more troubles than the actual sufferings of a person. Herein are the ways of destruction, not the ways of livelihood. In the first place, how come there could ever have started diseases and affliction of grief and fear if we had been obedient to 710.

You have your own ways of livelihood and you should be accountable for your actions. So does the medical practitioners. They have their own ways of livelihood.
Second, your position is extremely unfavorable toward medical practitioners. You tend to over-rule their knowledge and leading a movement in demolishing the mere existence of medical practitioners, and professed a judgment, condemning them as evildoers.
Third, you have not defined modern medicine, and even if you think you have done it, you have not set the parameter in defining the discipline.
Fourth, in my view you have failed to acknowledge the discovery of phenomena in the human body and the self as a body of knowledge in the realm of human knowledge.
Fifth, you regard human knowledge as profane whereas your God given knowledge is sacred as if you have found the key to unlock the God?s knowledge, the sacred, through your prayers. Thereupon, you think whenever you say and cite ayats of the Quran, it is godly, meaning that this is what it is meant by the God.
Finally, I wish to remind you Dr that what comes out from you (your mind) is your interpretation of the phenomena, it is human knowledge. No matter how you feel the closeness of the God in your heart and mind, nobody can ascertain that the God has given you the true guidance in all matters including peace, healings and wellness. No matter how much faith and prayers you performed. From my experience, I have seen cases of illness and disease, undefined by medical scientists using empirical methods, be cured by faith healers, using the Quran and hadith, plain water, smoke and what else.
Can you ascertain? Can anyone else verify which powers are in play? Don?t underestimate the power of jinns and real evildoers.
Yes, we should all turn to our Creator all the time for guidance, help, cure, protection and whatever through our salat, dua, zikr and good deeds, a holistic approach to God consciousness.

The above is your definition of 'Livelihood'. And I am going to use your own translation for better understanding of the ayat.
Basic necessity means 'the barest-minimum' fundamental requirement to start life as a grazing creature. But to the contrary Allah says in the ayat, " It is We who have placed you with authority on earth, and provided you therein with means for fulfilment of your life." I hope you understand that our definition of livelihood is very downtrodden, while Allah has created us in the Best Fashion and Model and had given the Best of all provisions. And we are expected to rise and raise in degree and grade higher and higher from where we are positioned, towards fulfilment, by turning to Allah seeking His guidance all the time. This obeying Him and being thankful.
If this means of thanks giving is adapted as our basic necessity, where is the question of down grading our life to a level of suffering and affliction? And thereafter, groping about the land for more painful survival going after life-long medical procedures until we die?
When there is a medical community, it is clear indication we have lagged behind the ayat 710

Allah has not left us high and dry when he sent us all down from the heavenly life to start life on this earth. Air, water, food, fruits, rain, breeze, scenic beauty with rivers, fountains, mountains and falls everywhere beyond any conceivable measure by a human brain. It is absolutely impossible for you to count Allah's Bounties upon each of you. This is the basic living condition He has provided us when He made us descend to the earth i.e with the same state of life we were living in the paradise. And Allah said "Down with you all from this state," there shall, none the less, most certainly come unto you guidance from Me and those who follow My guidance need have no fear, and neither shall they grieve;
Note the last line no fear; nor grief for those who follow Allah's guidance. Paradise has always been eternal; but the earth is short sojourn which we were placed upon because of our thankless ness to God when we were residing there. Now Allah's word is whoever I find as thanks giving, I would admit them back to eternal life of paradise. The sign from Me of their good life on this earth is they shall have no fear, nor grief.
Here we are grief struck, and fear more losses. We have reduced ourselves to creatures and have started loving animals and serpents as our companions in this world while Allah has asked us to have companions from among the good doers, the thanks giving people and Malyika. We are definitely leading a life of hell as hell-bound. All foods have been turned out to be haram for us due to our sins of not giving thanks; and all poisonous drugs and medicines are allowed in their place. Thus the very existence of medical faculties and availability of facilities towards them all around is sure sign from Allah, this is a despised and disgraced populace.
A cursed one! They would give birth to humans no more with their own poisoning; hereditary diseases gloom everywhere as pandemic. Their females would carry the evil trait. Even the basic needs of living condition is changed towards hell, its poisonous gases invading the entire atmosphere embracing more and more evil. These are full of grief of the past; and worry and fear of the future. There is absolutely no Salam in their hearts that with which they greet each other. Mostly they are a people turned out, or would turn out to be hypocritical.

Philosophically speaking to conclude, well if you think/feel you are now in a high plane of knowledge and comforting livelihood with the God, what can I say? As for me, I am okay with riding on horses, growing crops which may be eaten by animals, and find meanings common to downtrodden folks in paving my way to Allah.
