Arrangement of the Quran

Peace be upon you!
I would like to pose this question to the Quranists in this forum, why wasnt the Mushaf compiled in chronological order? Does the current arrangement promotes better understanding?

Yes, the chronological order of the revelation is very crucial to our understanding of the Quran.
. . .
Therefore, I would like to ask the same thing . . . why?
and why the free-mind translation is following the man-made order of the Quran ?
Salaam,
The Quran is not a biography of someone or a description of some event.
Salaam,

The arrangement is clearly man-made and Free Mind is following it freely.
Name me one book which isnt arranged chronologically and yet it is crystal clear in its meaning and context?

The Quran is not a biography of someone or a description of some event.
I think it is, the Quran shows us how a man is guided by God to be on the straight path,
and so that he know the priority (the awwaliyah) of the commands
so he that know how to balance (hikmah) the commands of Allah in different kinds of situation
and he is not the first because before him there are Jesus and Moses, and other messengers of Allah, it is all an event. .
-
Peace,
Can anyone here prove what kind of order the chapters were supposed to be in?
Despite that it does not really matter in what order they are. It does not change anything.
God bless you

People could start to compare the chronological order of the verses and the chronological facts from the Quran
http//wikiislam.net/wiki/Chronological_Order_of_the_Qur'an
However, that is not the real issue. . .
The real issue is why following the man made order of the verses when God sent the revelations chronologically ?
This order is crucial to the understanding of the Quran, it is much equal to the syllabus for the whole programme . . . .
The programme to be on the "straight path". . . and it is part of the understanding of "al-hikmah"

Salaam,
Then it would not be hard for you to show me clear evidence for this claim, thank you!!!

not sure what you mean, but any mathbook for example is not in a chronological order and yet they are very clear in their meaning and context.

a man? who?

a man? who?
Is this how you prove your contention? ie. by diverting from the real issue and using the fallacy of irrelevant conclusion, the ignoratio elenchi.
If we want to decide or discuss who is that man, then start a new thread with a title "Who is the last Prophet"? . . . .
. . .
What is obvious here is that the chapters in the Quran is not in its original order. . . this is the issue of this thread.
and it is "not hard" for anyone to prove this claim!

Peace,
And should I base my faith on some order of revelation just randomly. I could do so as it does not change anything regardless.
Al-hikmah you get by melding with God and seek close proximity and guidance. And by following the decree which was commanded to be followed. The knowledge of to judge fairly and in accordance to the decree is your al-hikmah. It should be the basis of your behavior, your judgment.
God bless you

How could someone understand al-hikmah if the chapters is not in order ?
Could the last Prophet truly understand the true message of the Quran if God sent the chapters not in chronological order ?
. . .
and please don't divert this issue from "rational thinking" to "irrational thinking", such as God teaches us. . .
or such statement like "let God give light upon it for you through inspiration."
This statement is "bulls*it", since "no one knows" whether God guide us or lead us astray,
and thus. . . please discuss from the aspect of what a human being can understand.

Salaam,
Mr muslims, I do not have the energy/motivation/time to get involved in these kind of discussions, I have already experienced this with you and I did not like it and I learned from it.
This reply of you suggests that this discussion will go in the same way, so I pass.Salaam,

Peace,
Do you wish to call what is good for you by that name?
Sound judgment is a blessing from God from the good from you. And everything is from God, to God we will all return.
Chapters are often long enough to be coherent and contextual that it does not matter much for comprehension whether which order they are.
God bless you
-
So you say. And it is my final argument. No more to argue about.
-
So I say . . .
No change should there be in the creation of Allah
That is the correct Deen,
but most of the people do not know
30.30Creation + Deen = The Quran, and its chronological order of the Chapters.
Therefore, I believe you belong to that "most of the people do not know", since the majority believe the same with what you believe.

Salaam,
The order is how we have it.
Those who claim otherwise use Bukharie & Co as evidence.
I agree that the order of chapters does not really matter, that won't change anything.
But people even think that in a chapter there is a chronical order for the verses, these people clearly do not understand a thing about The Quran.
The most dumb people even think that within a verse there is a chronical order, like first part of the verse was revealed in Medina and second part in Mekka or viceversa brickwallSalaam,
