Hawk99, I wish I knew your name and I thank you for reminding such a wonderful verse from Quran. Yes you are right , it is simple enough for some one
to follow Allah's religion and not get involved in complexities
I am trying to do that same.

Would you be kind enough to please point me to the following references or links. I know there are so many threads on here but am expecting you
to simplify the contact prayer .

    1. How many times do we pray (2 or 3) and in each prayer, what is the grace period like from and to..
    2. The three elements of prayer (standing, ruku and sojod) is mentioned all over quran for muslims and for people before.
It is also mentioned to prophet to pray extra as Qayam lail.

730 In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.
731 O you who are covered with your garments.
732 Stand the night except for a little.
733 Half of it, or a little less than that.
734 Or a little more, and arrange the Qur?an in its arrangement.

Same time it is also mentioned
918 Rather, the temples of God are maintained by he who believes in God and the Last Day, and he upholds the contact prayer, and he contributes towards purification, and is only concerned by God. It is these that will be of the guided ones.

In my view it is best to pray the contact prayer at the mosque because in quran it is mentioned many times to perform prayer with those who do ruku and also
during the time of war, the concept of praying as a group is enforced, all of this makes me think that Islam wants people to socialize as oppose to keeping oneself in the corner. What is more important is to serve the people in acts of kindness.

Keeping above into context, if one attends todays mosques three times and he performs all the 3 basic acts (position) of pray, would you think that is a good deed?
keeping the fact that the intention of the person is not to shirk but utter only words from quran during pray.

    Cheers

    2177
It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in
Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out
of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the
ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have
made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic.
Such are the people of truth, the Allah-fearing.

      Folks,
Its really difficult to understand the Quran if the actual meaning of the verses always hide something else and the literal meaning is a metaphor.
      ...
11119 Except whom your Lord has mercy upon; and for that He has created them. And the word of your Lord came true ?I will fill Hell with the Jinn and the people together!?

1527 And the Jinn, We created him before that from the fire of the fierce hot winds
1788 Say ?If all mankind and the Jinn were to gather to bring a Qur?an like this, they could not come with its like, even if they were helping one another.?

2717 And the soldiers of Solomon were gathered, comprising of mankind and Jinn and birds, for they were to be spread out.
      ...

      Cheers

This for me and together where Allah says he created Man from clay, clearly show that Jinns and Men are different entities. Again quoting Quran, they see us from whence we see them not.

        Peace Fusion,

Thank you for your kind words, We Muslim folk disagree on the number of contact prayers, are there two,
three or five. When viewed as opportunities to glorify and remember our lord, five chances are better than
two or three. Therefore I subscribe to the five chances to contact our lord. These five opportunities should
be done according to your convenience or with little effort or difficulty. If you are able to make only one sincere
salat a day that one is better than five to be seen. Reflecting on Allah, his creation, his wisdom and what he
is teaching us when we have quiet time be it day or night is beneficial to our spiritual growth.

Here is a link of a prayer schedule http//www.islamicfinder.org/

Praying at the mosque with other Muslims I find exhilarating and enjoyable even though I have
moved on from Sunni Islam and the words of my Salat are different from the Sunni's. We have normal
discussions and many are on the path to non-sectarian Islam praise God.

I view Salat as a good deed to one's own soul which in turn should create the impulse to do good deeds.

        God bless you

        peace

Ok thanks for the clarification hawk99. You have basically understood what a Jinn is. Congratulations. It is also similar to the 'Gentiles' word Jews use from Latin 'Gens' which is likely further from semitic languages Jinn.

I would say a Jinn is a faithless person, one without a spiritual link to the Creator.

          Be faithful to the Rabb

In Sura Jinn, it is evident form many verses there are muslim jinns and kafir jinns, as we see in the mankind. Allah's promise is that He would make hell the abode for the disbelievers among the Jinns and the Mankind.

            Salam

              Peace drfazl, brother.

The reason is because many so-called "Muslims" are hypocrites, so they are Jinns too. That is a faithless person, i.e. lives in the flesh and has not found the spirit. A kafar is a person who is having perverted ways and is likely to conjecture. Allah dislikes both.

One is not safe from Hell just because they say they have faith but one has to delete their own identity and live in Allah or they simply cannot pass through the narrow gate of Allah's realm. One must be so humble before Allah and also act humbly across the lands.

Be LIKE Allah in spirit and you may be assimilated enough to slip through the gate.

              Be safe

Well. Indeed one can call being a Jinn is having a virus which continues to contaminate the soul. The only cure is to get a dose of spirituality and to use reasoning.

                    Brother, Man of Faith

A hypocrite is one who is full of lies, or an opportunistic liar whom Allah condemns to hell; a 'kafir' is a hypocrite, related from a different angle i.e., one who rejects the truth, and opts for conjectures to gain worldly pleasures and he is bound to be doomed too. Both these categories are one of the other and one leading to the other in a vicious cycle; both these are human characteristics. Allah dislikes both for they are one and the same in the end.

Allah says the two creations mann and jinn created from two different sources.

                    Now who is Jinn?

                    salam.

                      Peace Farabi,

I accept your point of view on the subject, mine is not the only explanation, but let me ask you,

                      1. Are the jinn Invisible?

                      God bless you

                      peace

Yeah, he is invisible. Im still confusing about my experience. I think I was once communicate with them, but maybe just my halusination.

                        Peace drfazl,

We have to stop thinking fleshly. Allah speaks of spiritual affinity and not of flesh or concretely. The Jinn spirit indulge in the flesh and you would say that the doctors you propagate against in your thread about "MM" are Jinns. They find that this delusion can avail them when the Rabb controls all energy which is disguised as flesh. Just like the Jinn in the narration about Solomon they can only think as far as their eyes wander, if you understand me?

I know you think very little fleshly and so more than me on that matter and it is good. You may be a real nafs and naas.

If we die and are assimilated in Allah while departing, then it is a blessing. Every assimilated person looks forward to the day they die, so better live spiritually and let ourselves die if we contract a disease if this is the Rabb's will than pervert ourselves in the flesh.

Have you not heard of latest news reports of people who wake up in the grave or when they have declared someone as clinically dead in hospitals and they wake up after their heart has been silent for a long time. These are clear signs from Allah, but people still doubt about Allah, why?

                        Have faith

                          Yeah, he is invisible.

                          Agreed

Now If you do not mind I will ask you a second question.

                          The Jinn can be believers

`Some of us are righteous, and some are less than righteous; we follow various paths.

`When we heard the guidance, we believed therein. Anyone who believes in his Lord will
never fear any injustice, nor any affliction.

`Among us are the submitters, and among us are the compromisers.' " As for those who
submitted, they are on the right path.

We have to stop thinking fleshly. Allah speaks of spiritual affinity and not of flesh or concretely.

The whole universe is Allah's design in flesh and it will all be over in a flash; and about the flesh - these creations are there as visible to or invisible to man's naked knowledge; mann is placed as the highest manifestations of such creations in flesh, with a fixed life term in the fleshy universal habitat. The philosophies, concepts, ideas, theses and facts and figures are born out of this fleshy brainstorming think-tanks. You are right, we should stop this fleshy thinking. I fully endorse it.

The mann, the mind of man must cleave asunder the universal atmosphere and shall enter the space, from where the entire universe is created, to explore the creative powers where only Allah is our Guide, Enricher, Provider. Though the mann is living within this fleshy universe on the earth below the seven firmaments, he is bound to gain his liveliness from the spaciousness of God endowed Creative Powers of the Space, beyond universes. And the other fleshy creation on par with the men is that who is invisible to man's sight, the creation of Jinn. And they too have the brute fleshy powers like the brain of men. Of the two, man has more subtle, yet most powerfully enlivening mind created by God to have their say over the universal nature, if only the mann uses the God given wisdom, his mind, to gain superiority over the brainstorm. Our whole life shall involve in disgracing the fleshy knowledge of the brain, and in enriching the mind to cross the seven heavens to enter the spacious life in space. Our fleshy body shall remain in the world while our minds individually explore the heavens for the splendorous life of its flesh on the earth as a Sign unto the mankind. In this way we shall lead a life of honour and dignity in this world and in the world next with flesh and mind together with mind ever gaining mastery, by the leave of Allah.

Hospitals are ghost infested grave yard structures. People and patients dread to go there and they are dead alive in it. The ebola scare they spread with such orchestration around the world is dead and gone with the wind already; this is God's grace that the spread of another ghost disease is decimated.

                              salam
