The "free will" concern is a Western concern mainly it seems and their terminology. No one has power to do anything save as Allah wills them to or creates them to.

God decides what will happen yes, but it is a dynamic platform and it is running independently and what we do is from ourselves. God can intervene, but does often not do so because of the purpose of this "simulation". If God wills something nothing can prevent it, but also if God simple lets the platform run independently then it will occur as according to the actions of the users, i.e. the humans.

If things do happen only if God wills then God is very wicked since then God would make the bad happen. But God is completely innocent of what people do and it is a respite given for some time.

Free will exists, unless God decides otherwise. And people who are strongly assimilated with the foundation can also affect it in their own strengthened ways through their good faith. Their faith saves them.

It is of course a complicated mechanism to put oneself into.

Faruk do you know about quantum physics? They have some sayings going that the very sub-atomic particles of an atom is actually energy and vibration. Have to re-confirm though. So if that's true, then the universe is basically energy and vibration, and in that sense what we see is an "illusion".

Well said Samira. I believe in divine justice which points towards freedom of choice and then accountability.

No I have no problem with accepting that Allah has the ultimate power and control. I also believe that everything is created by his command but then He has also given us the ability to choose and be responsible for that. As per 763

We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

If we don't have free will and act as puppets then why it has to be proved on judgement day. You can only judge someone if one is free to act. How can you punish someone who has to act as per your command? Is it justice?

Allah has made rules for his creation. He has given us option to choose from different paths. Whatever path we choose its results are pre-decided as per His laws. He created fire but its our choice to use it for our benefit like cooking or heating or we can use it to destroy things by burning.

Its not a matter of correcting you but to learn correct concepts from Quran by mutual discussion. Everyone is responsible for his/her understanding. Whatever we come across we have to use our God given faculties to evaluate it as we will be asked about it as per 1736

Do not reach conclusions about that of which you have no knowledge. (Using your
senses and intellect, you must verify it for yourself.) Surely, the hearing, the

Allah guides him who wants to be guided. So again choice is ours. If we ask for guidance and choose the right path then Allah guides us to the right path.

I think most of the quotes say that Allah wills it, not that a persons will commands what Allah does. It seems to be a small form of shirk to say that Allah has partners in power, people who decide things, and Allah who is like a servant to them, then does things based on their will. It says

Mankind were one community, and Allah sent (unto them) prophets as bearers of good tidings and as warners, and revealed therewith the Scripture with the truth that it might judge between mankind concerning that wherein they differed. I am not saying that Allah is unjust, I am saying that Allah is not bound to anything, Allah's power and will is not fettered, his "hand is not chained" to justice or anything. Allah invents what is justice, not you, and Allah can change what is justice too, Justice is not over Allah, it is just a creation of Allah, a creation which Allah can destroy or change just as easily as it was created by Allah's will.

I am saying ALLAH CAN. Are you both saying Allah can not? That Allah is bound to his own creation? That Allah has justice over him and must obey justice, his own creation?

Indeed, The Truth/Reality they deny they who say, "Behold, God is the Christ, son of Mary." Say "And who could have prevailed with God in any way had it been His will to destroy the Christ, son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone who is on earth-all of them? Allah created them for the hell fire, Allah creates whatever Allah wants to create, just like Allah has made the fish and has put them in the sea as their habitation, and what crime have the fish committed that they struggle in the sea or are harassed by the sharks, save as Allah wills. Who upholds the birds? The air? It is Allah who upholds their very life and doings.

It isn't a matter of justice. Iblis may have thought it unjust or unreasonable that the creature made of mud is chosen over his race, and was turned to error by Allah, the whole incident was by Allah, who had created Satan and then "proved" or "made manifest" what he had created Satan to be.

People take the Qur'an over God, Justice over God, and many other things. If the Qur'an spoke a lie about Allah, then the lie should not be believed, and the lie would be anything that says the Ultimate is less than Ultimate, that the Ultimate does not accomplish everything, that the Ultimate does not have authority or dominion over everything, that what Allah wills does not happen, but instead what we will happens, and we are they who control Allah, and can will ourselves to do things and then get results, this is all shirk, which the kaffirs love to do.

Are there things in the world that Allah does not want, but "can not" do anything about? So Allah suffers because Allah is so helpless as to not be able to accomplish whatever he wills?

For the concept of free will and "justice" you will forsake the truth from and about Allah?

Allah is the "free will", what you deem to be your will, is the will of Allah actually, if you do bad or harm to yourself or others, if you are led aright in righteousness or not, all is the doing of Allah, who creates some for destruction, and others Allah showers with blessings.

Allah does not make a mistake, Allah creates exactly what Allah wants, and nothing happens that Allah does not power and will, or do you claim that something has by-passed Allah or slipped from the "grasp" of Allah? That Allah has been confounded and overcome by some words of his own devising and so is now fettered and unable to do anything for being so afraid of violating some authority greater than Allah? There is no such thing, there is only Allah who is not made of information, and what Allah creates which is information, all that exists, which includes laws, systems, physics, experiences, kaffirs, believers, muslims, whatever else down to their thoughts and circumstances, their place of death also is specific

Again, He caused to descend safety for you after lament. Sleepiness overcomes a section of you while a section caused themselves grief thinking of God without right, a thought out of the Age of Ignorance. They say Have we any part in the command? So it doesn't matter about justice or what you deem justice to be, just that Allah has all the power, that if Allah creates a being that will suffer and be sent to suffering, Allah has all power to do so.

Leave Me (to deal) with those who give the lie to this pronouncement. We shall lead them on by steps from whence they know not.

So Allah created the worms, and the flies, and whatever else, and Allah created this idea and thing called "kaffir" and then "makes manifest" or "proves" them as being what they are by making them exist, and then has decreed that the kaffirs go to Hell, a habitation made for them, just like the fish deal with the sea as their habitation.

So I am not saying Allah is unjust, just saying that Allah is bound by nothing, is not fettered, there is no authority over the Ultimate, nothing that Allah is bound entirely by and can not easily counteract or transform, if Allah does anything or if anything happens it is by the will of Allah is like nothing and not made of any information but simply manifests all information and can change it entirely freely, and wants things exactly as they "are" "any moment" and transforms them freely.

You are "accountable for what you do" such is the creation of Allah, information that Allah has created, the events that will be experienced are powered and sustained by and animated by Allah, and Allah has made up this information too, you can call "being held accountable, judgment trial, hell and whatever else".

The free will of Allah, who alone is free, unbounded, and wills whatever Allah wants to will, and creates whatever Allah wants to create, is what acts through everything.

"Why then are some punished?" Don't even take "reasons" above Allah's supreme and ultimate power, like needing justifications, Allah can do whatever without justifications.

Do they seek, perchance, a faith other than in God, although it is unto Him that whatever is in the heavens and on earth surrenders itself, willingly or unwillingly, since unto Him all must return?

So leave anyone who denies this discourse to Me! We will lead them, step by step, into destruction from where they do not know.
for, behold, though I may give them rein for a while, My subtle scheme is exceedingly firm!

It is not for thee to make people follow the right path, since it is God who guides whom He wills. And whatever good you may spend on others is for your own good, provided that you spend only out of a longing for God's countenance for, whatever good you may spend will be repaid unto you in full, and you shall not be wronged.

What Allah has created, Allah knows, and Allah makes no mistake, Allah has created some specifically to do certain things and then exist in hell, Allah selects our livelihood, our thoughts, our reaction to the thoughts. That doesn't mean you are any different than you are now, you are imagining something silly, what you know now as your own will, know that it is Allah who wills that you will whatever you will, and Allah has power over every aspect of everything, and Allah is the controller of all information.

Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture nor the idolaters love that there should be sent down unto you any good thing from your Lord. But Allah chooseth for His mercy whom He will, and Allah is of Infinite Bounty.

BEHOLD, from on high have We bestowed upon thee this divine writ, setting forth the truth for mankind. And whoever chooses to be guided , does so for his own good, and whoever chooses to go astray, goes but astray to his own hurt; and thou hast not the power to determine their fate.
It is God who causes all human beings to die at the time of their death, and , during their sleep, those that have not yet died thus, He withholds those upon whom He has decreed death, and lets the others go free for a term set . In this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think!
And yet, they choose , side by side with God, intercessors! (Justice)? Say ?Why - even though they have no power over anything, and no understanding??
Say Allah's is the intercession altogether; His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you shall be brought back.
And yet, whenever God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who will not believe in the life to come contract with bitter aversion - whereas, when those are mentioned side by side with Him, lo, they rejoice! (Free Will, Justice)
Say O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! Thou wilt judge between Thy slaves concerning that wherein they used to differ.

NOW when affliction befalls man, he cries out unto Us for help; but when We bestow upon him a boon by Our grace, he says , ?I have been given this by virtue of wisdom!? Nay, this is a trial but most of them understand it not!

(You can not do anything that God does not will you to do, you can not by your own virtue gain good or bad, you have no virtue save what Allah gives you, you are nothing but information created by Allah and manipulated by Allah, what you know, what you think, what you do, what you see, is all from Allah, and Allah can make you a creature of suffering and punishment, or a creature of joy and paradise, and all this is the decision of Allah, you can not do anything of your own power or will, only as Allah wills, will it be so, that you appear to choose to do good, that is the will of Allah, that you follow the Qur'an, that is the will of Allah, that you go astray if you do, that is the will of Allah)

No just estimate have they made of God, such as is due to Him. But on the Day of Resurrection, the whole earth will lie within His grasp, while heaven will be folded up in His right handGlory be to Him! Exalted is He above all that they associate with Him
And the trumpet is blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth swoon away, save him whom Allah willeth. Then it is blown a second time, and behold them standing waiting!

And those who disbelieve are driven unto hell in troops till, when they reach it and the gates thereof are opened, and the warders thereof say unto them Came there not unto you messengers of your own, reciting unto you the revelations of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this your Day? they say Yea, verily. Salam. Yes I have some knowledge of quantum physics. Any way I was talking about illusion of human freewill. Its an illusion. Acording to latest research (don't ask me reference or where I read it) Freewill is conditioned. In a given situation the choice or freewill can be predicted or will be same for a specific person. It depends on that person's upbringing , overall education , knowledge , inteaction with others etc.

Should free will be taken literally? IMHO the answer is yes with caveat. children have free will within
restrictions set by parents, employees have free will within parameters set by the employers. My
understanding is that free will is layered, both real and an illusion. I agree with quantum mechanics
in this regard.
