Please don't give me your etymology/mythology claptrap, Jinns are perfectly defined in Quran.

Now with your friends unbelievers of the unseen creations of Allah, when someone disagrees with you, you call him sectarian and Mohamedan, well you are hypnotised by Satan who convinced you he didn't exist, while giving you cavity searches, and turning you against understanding the Quran properly.

I tend to agree with brother Nabster about jinns.

For me, it doesn't seem to fit with the Qur'an if I perceive jinn as human.

Based on reading various things and also my "encounter" (though I never saw jinns myself - I prefer not - not in this life), I inclined to the opinion that jinns are other creatures different from humans, and not all humans have the ability to see them.

Day before yesterday I take a shot of moon, here it is.
I am really wondering why and how I don't see the other half of the moon?

Nice photos, brother Khan. Thank you for sharing.

Would you kindly check this out Sun, Moon, Stars, and Planets

Perhaps you could find something useful for your understanding.

      Salaam.

You're just parroting what the sectarian mohammedans taught you, not G-D.

The Gin who listened to the Quran were a furtive group of people, not "genies" (in bottles)!

Try reading the Quran for a change!

        Please be patient, my brother.

Perhaps it rather hard to believe that jinns are entities, but perhaps someday you could have different opinion if Allah showed you something about them (to know them more).

        . . . not "genies" (in bottles)!

I don't think they're jinns in bottles. This is not like that, I think.

In my opinion, it seems they're just like us, I mean they go through life (they could have family and descendants), and also tested by Allah, there are good jinns and there are bad jinns.

        Peace.

          Dear Nabster,

Please don't give me your etymology/mythology claptrap, Jinns are perfectly defined in Quran.

Now with your friends unbelievers of the unseen creations of Allah, when someone disagrees with you, you call him sectarian and Mohamedan, well you are hypnotised by Satan who convinced you he didn't exist, while giving you cavity searches, and turning you against understanding the Quran properly.

What should I tell them? Does deluded (kafar) sound better?

Satan is a fictional character invented by those I call sectarian. Shaytaan is singular of something that could be instinct while shaytiin is instincts as the common plural. When you answer the bodily impulse of the body of yours then that is Shaytaan. I cannot be hypnotized by a person who does not exist, although I can potentially give in to the instincts of mine, but then you have to define exactly what kind of part of the animal me that I give in to.

As a matter of fact, I work on utilizing that spirit (nas) of mine by keeping my Asema open rather than being sheeple. You blame these people for believing that the Earth is flat to the extent of humiliation, but you believe in mythical characters such as Satan and supernatural jinn characters, so that you do follow a Sunni and sectarian interpretation of old. This is why I use the word sectarian.

Here is a dictionary definition for sectarian

          sectarian / sktrin / adjective

1 sectarian violence/conflict/fighting etc. violence, conflict etc. that is related to the strong feelings between people of different religious groups

2 supporting a particular religious group and its beliefs
          a sectarian school
          ? sectarianism noun

          Source Longman Advanced American Dictionary

The word sect is as this

          sect / skt / noun
a group of people with their own particular set of beliefs and practices, especially one that has separated from a larger religious group

Dictionaries are not perfect, but when I personally say sectarian I refer to people who believe not what the Rabb has proclaimed to be the deen but rather indulge in their own fantasies and fabricated delusion (kafar). Sectarian has a secondary meaning for me and that is when you are a Pagan and favor something fleshly because in truth on Rabb level you have only two choices, The Rabb or the World. But by fabricating a Pagan style religion then you have broken that and become a sect since you WORSHIP AN IMAGE OF SOMETHING OF EITHER HEAVEN OR EARTH and YOU ARE NOT IN UNITY WITH YOUR RABB. It is the Homo Sapiens brain that needs a mental image of something and that is an instinct (Shaytaan).

Who do I not believe to exist? Allah or Shaytaan? None of them exist by traditional word definition. The Rabb is my Rabb and your Rabb. Nothing will change that.

But if you want to live with your sectarian interpretation of Quran you are free to continue to do so and I will not prevent you and I am not your enemy despite that you may hold such feelings for me right now. I only seek to help those people around me who wander in their delusion. If I were you, I would relearn what I have learned and really take a second look at Quran and sit down and decipher all passages since you said yourself that you are Arab by blood. Your deviated Arabic will have you to fall towards interpretation acrobatics because your Arabic simply sounds silly if attempting to make an honest rendition.

          Be well

            This ain't about "patience" @Java!

            It's Truth vs. lie (again).

I don't think they're jinns in bottles. This is not like that, I think.

            You're missing the point!
            Genies are fictional characters.

In the Quran, (&#1722 and (&#1587 are epithets.

The Gin who listened to the Quran were a furtive group of people, not "genies" (in bottles)!

                Peace brother,

Ah OK! I thought being an ex-scientist you might have witnessed it.

When you look up in the sky, does the moon seem very big to you? Why do you think it is far away and big if you do? What if it is just as tiny as it looks or only slightly larger? What if the moon is actually just in your mind, so that to get to the moon you have to actually get behind your eyes or something.

                  Peace brother,

I didn't say moon looks very big to me, I can swear!
Yes it could be a little larger that what I see from my naked eye.
Ahh I got it. You got confused with the image of moon I posted. That was a zoomed image taken with telephoto zoom lens.

Are you sure that a "telephoto lens" isn't actually taking a picture of some little speck on the lens or something? Are you sure in the development of such technologies they aren't some great deception being put up?

                              Peace @FS, @JL, all

the ad hominem get commensurate to the disagreements in forums from troll like entities, lol! and I have to confess, I sometimes indulge too

Not accepting Jinns as how they are, as described by Quran - which for me is more than belief, but a book of facts where the Creator lets us into some insights and realisations about the unseen we cannot measure or observe for ourselves due to our limitations - puts us in a much vulnerable state as regards to Satan and demons.

The power they have is that they can see us and interact with us from whence we cannot see or perceive them, unless Allah wishes otherwise, as He did for Solomon, and some Prophets/Messengers.

Now the issue of Angels should be settled, as it clearly states it as an article of Faith to believe and accept they exist. (even then there are some here who use some semantic and linguistic contortions to deny their existence!)

For Jinns there are just descriptions, and warnings against the devils amongst them.

I will not repeat again the arguments to prove that, there is no point as there is a dogmatism within those who wish to believe it their way along a narrative they settled in that it is too hard to shake, and to be honest, I don't care.
I had discussions with Ayman who believe in his fantasy theory with not much success, nor useful to me in gains.

This is similar to other subjects such as code 19.

If you have an enemy you cannot see, that has more capabilities from you from a position where he is invisible to you, can navigate at much higher speeds and through more mediums than you can, then you are already at a clear disadvantage, now if you add that you decide it doesn't also exist, you are asking to be manipulated without even you perceiving it, a very dangerous position to be in.

Now Allah says Angels through His Grace and Him Himself do protect against all evils, inclusive of the evils of the unseen, and that not putting oneself in this protection, through submission and allegiance to Allah makes one vulnerable, and this is what is happening in the world before us.

No matter what I write, if you are hypnotised into a narrative, you will only lash out if challenged, with your own set of misconceptions, as Allah says, these are just labels you have named for yourselves, trying to convince others is just assuaging your own prejudice and projecting it onto others.

It symbolises well the way we move through Life. rotfl

                                          This ain't about "patience" @Java!

                                          It's Truth vs. lie (again).

I'm not sure if those people in the video are honest. I think among many stories/news about jinns, there could be fake stories, and there could be real stories.

It's not youtube video which made me likely to believe that jinns are creatures.

And also, I think it's not that easy to 'catch' the jinns. I think people who think that they can control/overpower (or take the advantage of) the jinn/s are actually being fooled by the jinn/s, except the righteous people who by Allah's permission can interact (or even team up) with them, like prophet Sulaiman.

I peacefully leave the choice on you, whether you regard jinn as creature or not.

                                          Peace.
