    I recommend reading points 3, 12, 13 here
    http//mypercept.co.uk/articles/problems-5-salat-Quran.html

Thank you @ Wakas, but somehow I have difficulty to open it (problem loading page).

I've ever visited that site, but I don't know how to enter it now.

Strange, worked for me just now. If you have trouble opening any site you can cut and paste the link into

www.google.com (or whatever your local google is)
then you will see a small dropdown arrow next to the link, click on that, then click on "cached". It then loads the site from their server.

      or

      www.startpage.com
then click on "proxy" or "highlight". It then loads the page from their server.

      or with any proxy site.

If you still have issues let me know and I will cut & paste here for you.

What's that you say? Why not just cut & paste it here now? I like the wisdom "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." ;D

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

        Peace Hiroshi,

I think that you are on the right track.

        I hope so. Thank you.

It seems that if we admit that we don't know the right/correct meaning of a quranic term/concept, then we will be able to get the right/correct meaning of that quranic term/concept.

Insha'Allah. If we don't know about something, then I think we should be honest about it (admit that we don't know). It is safer, in my opinion.

From my experience, if we deny the fact that we don't know something, then we will not be able to incorporate new knowledge into our minds.

I think you're probably right about it. I tend to agree.

There is a quote by Bruce Lee which goes like this

"Those who are unaware they are walking in darkness will never seek the light."

It seems you like his quotes a lot! D

I mostly agree with your views regarding Salat.

Glad to know it, Hiroshi. Praise be to God.

        Salaam.

              Peace Hawk.

              This is my personal view.
GOD made the day and night for us to sleep and work and connect with him.
              736
The meditation at night is more effective, and more righteous.

              737
You have a lot of time during the day for other matters.

              738
You shall commemorate the name of your Lord, to come ever closer and closer to Him.

So the Morning part is left deliberately to concentrate on other matters of this life?

Only my personal opinion so far. I will look into this further and get back to you.
              GOD bless you.
              Peace.

                Peace hawk.

I am afraid I do not find any instruction in Qoran for a morning prayer, between fajr and dhuhr.

So i would say there is no such a thing instructed.
Why is there no instruction to pray? Is this what you want answering?
                GOD bless you.
                Peace.

Yes, that is my question. We are to pray at specific times, the
"fivers" say from noon til fajr, the "three-ers" say after the sun begins to
decline, The "two-ers" say Fajr and isha" I know "fivers", three-ers and two-ers are not really words
but as for the time between fajr and noon no one seems to have a answer
                  or explanation from Quran!

                  peace

                    Peace everyone,

I'd like to share some posts about Salat (from a quranic perspective) in this thread.

Does the notion of 5 daily Salat have any basis in the Quran?

                    http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9598576.msg376640#msg376640

Is Salat only obligatory for the mumins (believers/convinced)?

                    http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9598576.msg376779#msg376779

Does prayer mean Salat or Dua?

                    http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9607864.msg377151#msg377151

Is there any irrefutable and undeniable Quranic evidence for the notion of 2 daily Salat?

                      Taro,

                      039009
?Is the one who is obedient, who night prostrates himself and stands at night, who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition?

                      025064
?Those who prostrate and stand before their Lord at night.?

                      Al-Insaan 7625-26

"And mention the name of your lord in the early mornings and the evenings, during the night. Prostrate to him/before him and glorify him at length, when it is night."

These are the verses to me that clearly state what we are to do in those parts of the night that correspond to the two ends of the day, i.e. the early morning before and at sunrise, and the early evening around and after sunset.

                      Salaam,
                      Anwar

                              Imrankhawajah

                              Read this article

                              http//quransmessage.com/articles/did%20solomon%20really%20slaughter%20his%20horses%20FM3.htm

The most important part that I have taken from this article is the following

                              "
                              FINAL THOUGHTS

? Is it at all possible that to emphasize the importance of prayer, a particular tradition of slaughter has developed to accommodate this somewhat extreme rendering?

? Also it is useful to note that there is no mention in the text of Prophet Solomon (pbuh) missing a prayer, or as commonly believed the Asr prayer.

                              038032
"And he said Indeed I preferred (Arabic ahbabtu) the love (Arabic hubba) of the good things (Arabic Khayr) to the remembrance of my Lord (Arabic Dhikri Rabi)- until they were out of sight / they were hidden / veiled (Arabic bil-hijabi)"

                              038.033
"Return them to me." Then he began (to) pass (his hand) over their legs and their necks"

From a Quranic perspective, prayer is a form of Dhikr (remembrance), but remembrance is not restricted to prayer but can take many forms. It appears from the Quranic text, that Prophet Solomon (pbuh) forgot to remember (and possibly thank His Lord) for his beautiful gifts of horses in preoccupation until they were out of sight. As soon as he realised, he summoned them back and lovingly stroked them. His affections no doubt would have embodied the thankfulness to His Lord who had bestowed him with such beautiful gifts."

describe may not be a matter of convenience. Fajr and Isha I would say are convenient
the middle prayer not so since people generally work or are busy with other endeavors
during that time of day. Do you have anything from Quran to support your view?

His affections no doubt would have embodied the thankfulness to His Lord who had bestowed him with such beautiful gifts."

peace brother,,its nothing to do with slaughtering the horses ,, did you see my wording i said,, somewhere i study in quran,,, he missed his prayer(remembrance, zikar, thankfulness) and most of the scholors translate it that he missed the asar prayer,,,

now come and analyse byurself,,, and i anaysle it already,,,

it was the time in which we can easily see some darkness factor,,, it was salat or prayer or remeberance or zikar its not a matter,,, darkness was the matter,,, so at that time possibly this verse is indicating salat al night
or starting of start al night,,, so definately it was not missed,, another factor of darkness shows that the due time before night prayer is middle prayer so he possible look in to the horses and as we know the race of horse is very popular even today may be he was looking them running suddenly he realise the darkness (veil/covering) and he remember ,,, that he forget some prayer in the love of race or whatever they was getting entertain,,, so more possibly middle prayer,,

now see the traditional translation of some popular scholars ,,, how they assume darkkness,,, i m agree with you on the literal translation,,, but making oourself understand sometimes we have to break urselves for getting into depth...

                                    DR. GHALI
Then he said, "Surely I have loved the love of (earthly) charitable (things) better than the Remembrance of my Lord, " until (the sun) disappeared behind the curtain (Literally made herself disappear with the curtain).

                                    MUHSIN KHAN
And he said "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night).

                                    PICKTHALL
And he said Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain.

                                    SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain ."

                                    SHAKIR
Then he said Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said)

                                    YUSUF ALI
And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night)

, so in your opinion it's a matter of
                                      convenience.
Do you have anything from Quran to support your view?

                                      peace

no my brother its not the matter of convenience,,, its the matter of authority,,, same like if u ask from God ,,, y two eyes,,, y two ears,,, y day and night,,, y two hands,,, we cant becuase we are not authorised to ask these matter and laws which are already appointed by Allah ,,, and he know what is best for us,,, and what times are best and convienient... and all three times in everybodys life are very easy to catch a salat... isnt it...

I need another job I can understand you coming to a personal conclusion
that the mid prayer in convenient, but for many this is not the case.
Also, there are many who would have no problem praying in the morning.

and from the support of quran,,, when i type next post to my brother who just send me the article you can find references there,,,

                                        Thank you for you consideration.

                                        peace

no my brother ,,, its not personal at all,,, because as per my knowledge its a law that lunch break should be taken by all employee in all comapines of world... even in schools where we study... colleges.. everywhere.. if the timing is between 9 to 5 ,,, rest of the evenning and night shifts job... its depend on the time zone,,, forexample here in uk in winter u can perform ur night pprayer at 4 o clock PM it depends but mmost of the time,, the prayer timmes not effect you somehow,, u can easily manage
