i agree bro ,,,, that what i believe,,,may Allah guide us to the right path

    @imrankhawaja handshake

Peace Wakas, Your explanation of duluk makes sense, what I am unclear
about is which salat does the rubbing of the sun denote?

I understand your position. But I find it to be the weaker interpretation.

    Salaam.

Your position is understandable as well.

    peace

      Peace hawk,
I dont see how it can refer to any other than salat al 3sha. Its a perfect fit.

If however someone believes in 5 salat daily for example then it is inevitable they will struggle making the verses fit - that is a problem for them to resolve.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

          Caught any fish yet?

Thanks for the 'fish catching' tip/trick, brother Wakas. I've used it to open another pages, including a page of submission.org (which is blocked in my country), and it worked.

My personal belief is that one can pray how they like as long as it's not forbidden by Quran and they aim for at least two/three times a day.

I personally aim for three times a day. I came to Quranism through Rashad Khalifa, and while his prayer mode is a modified Sunni one I consider it acceptable by my understanding of Quran and use it as guidance (I consider one rakah to be one "prostration" and not the full cycle BTW). However, I find it very hard to do the traditional prostration in my current living situation so I compromise and I believe that God understands. Finally, I say "The Lord is God, the Lord is one" instead of Khalifa's version of the shahada as I believe they're the exact same ).

                Peace,

i certainly struggled for a long time to make 5 fit in. Thank our Lord, he allowed me to accept the Quran.

Is reference to what is salat?

                Connection. its simple

                aqemu as-sallat = establish/make firm the connection.

this is my understanding. it goes beyond just a specified time during the day,

salat is something we should strive for always, but we are to (re)establish/make firm it regularly every day, as instructed in the quran.

Trust strongly in God, make firm/(re)establish the connection and contribute to purification, this is the essense of the Bond..

                Peace

                Peace.
