Ramadaan The Correct Tiime To Break Fast
-
Peace .
Qoran always has the strongest argument. GOD says
911
By the sun and its brightness.912
The moon that follows it.913
The day that reveals.914
The night that covers.Does this define the "daytime" and "night time"?
Qoran says daytime shows the sun and night time covers the sun. Sunrise to sunset is the daytime. Sunset to sunrise is the night time.
Day time has different periods like morning, noon and afternoon. Night time has different periods like maghrib, night and dawn. Or am I missing something here?
GOD bless .
Peace.Salaam good logic
Lets try to make things simple. We have a lot of Muslims particularly the Sunni sect that breaks fast at maghrib (sunset) and we all know what period of time during the day or evening that is. We all know what the period of Maghrib (Sunset) looks like. There is a big distinction between the period of maghrib and the period of al layl It does not take a rocket scientist to know what is maghrib (sunset). There are some Muslims who claims to follow Qur'aan alone that are actually following the Sunni sect and breaking their fast at maghrib (sunset). I got some people in this post who are tap dancing, shufflen around the subject and not proving anything in the Qur'aan such as their belief of breaking fast during the period of maghrib (sunset). When we read Qur'aan 2187 Allah tells us to break our fast during Al Layl (The Night) which again is a very distinct period from Maghrib (Sunset)
http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/ThumaaAtimmuuSiyaamaIlaAlLayli.jpg
The vast majority of Muslimis that follow Qur'aan ALONE (WAHDAU) and also Shia Muslims all break their fast during the period of Al Layl (The Night) and not during Maghrib (Sunset). Note for those Muslims in here who claim to follow Qur'aan alone and break their fast during Maghrib (Sunset) has not produce not one single verse in the Qur'aan to prove this. These Muslims do good when they debate a Sunni Muslim but when one of their own (who follows Qur'aan alone such as my self) call them to task, they tap dance and shuffle their way out of it and respond like typical people do who are just wrapped up in belief but no facts or evidence to support their belief.

Peace Al Khidr19.
For me it is simple. Does" nightime" mean sunset to sunrise?
Your understanding could also be faulty. Qoran does not specify a period at night when to break fast, so it is at the beginning of night However Qoran specifies a period when to start the fast.
If you go by Qoran, then it defines the day and night for you clearly.
GOD bless you.

Peace.You have said this
"Qoran does not specify a period at night when to break fast, so it is at the beginning of night However Qoran specifies a period when to start the fast"
The Qur'aan is very very very specific when it tells us to break our fast during the month of Ramadaan in Qur'aan 2187

http//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/Quraan%202%20verse%20187%20NEW%20Arabic%20text.jpg
Again the Qur'aan is very very very specific when we break our fast which is during the period of Al Layl (The Night) which comes after the period of Maghrib (Sunset).
Note that you will not find no other period such as fajr, asr, zuhr, maghrib in this verse where Allah tells you to break your fast, you only see AL LAYL (THE NIGHT).
Do you break your fast at Maghrib (Sunset) which is the typical time Sunni Muslims break their fast?
-
Let me remind you that Al Layl does not mean sunset. I CHALLENGE you to prove in the Qur'aan where Allah tells us to break our fast during the period of Maghrib (Sunset) and if you can that will end the debate but we all know you are just blowing smoke and following Sunni innovations!!!!

Peace, it?s clearly defined in Qur?an the daytime and the night as goodlogic posted.
911 and/by the sun and/by morning rise its (i.e. the sun)
912 and/by the moon when follows it (i.e. the sun)
913 and/by the daytime when displays it (i.e. the sun)
914 and/by the night when covers it (i.e. the sun)Hence we know it is daytime (start fast) when we see the sun (at dawn).
Likewise we know it is night (stop fast) when we cannot see it (at sunset).2187 ? and eat ye of and drink ye of until is shown for you the thread the white from the thread the black from the dawn furthermore complete ye of the fast to the night... (night begins exactly at sunset -- cannot see the sun!)
Otherwise cannot tell when to stop 10 min, 30 min, 1 hour, etc., after sunset nor tell when it?s dark enough which varies by time and location.
-
Peace Al Khidr19 .
You have missed my point. Qoran defines "Al layl"-Sunset to Sunrise- . Do you agree?
Therefore if "Al-Layl" start at sunset, I do not see what you are getting at.
I repeat if "Al-layl" is night time ,then it includes Maghrib, after Maghrib (When it is total darkness )and Fajr. You are assuming "Al-Layl" is just total darkness? It is like saying "Al-Nahar" ( Day) is only the afternoon!!!.GOD bless you.

"Twilight is the time of day between daylight and darkness. Astronomers recognize three kinds of twilight
Civil twilight. It starts as soon as the sun dips below the western horizon. There?s enough light to see, but people turn on their lights to drive a car, and the streetlights are starting to come on. Civil twilight officially ends when the sun is 6 degrees below the horizon.
Nautical twilight. It begins when it?s fairly dark outside. By definition, nautical twilight ends when a distant line of a sea horizon stops being visible against the background of the sky ? about when the sun is 12 degrees below the horizon. And even then some people still call it twilight.
Astronomical twilight. It ends when all traces of sky glow are gone. By definition, astronomical twilight ends when the sun is 18 degrees below the horizon. Then astronomers can begin to observe the stars, assuming no clouds are in the way!"

Peace, It does appear that good logic is correct and that there is a blending or
mixing of night and day as per 39/5, 36/37, 22/61.police
Salaam Hawk99
Shukran for presenting that point and I've been waiting for some one to use that argument. I would like to bring some clarity to that point about how the Day and Night merge into each other such as in the verse below
Qur'aan 2261
It is a fact that Allah merges the night into the day, and merges the day into the night, Allah is indeed All-Hearing, All-Seeing.There is a conjunction or period of time when Day and Night merge into each other and that is correct.
QUESTION
When Allah tells us that Day and Night merge into each other, did Allah give us a COMMAND at the time to break fast for Ramadaan?ANSWER
When you read the verses from the Qur'aan where Allah says the Day and Night merge into each other, notice that Allah has never given us the COMMAND, the LAW to break fast during this conjunction or period of time. Why? Because its more difficult to calculate the precise time during this conjunction where Day and Night merge into each other. Allah Ta'ala has given us THE COMMAND, THE LAW to break fast only in one verse which is Qur'aan 2187 and notice that it does not tell us to break fast when the Day and Night merge into each other, it tells us to break fast when AL LAYL (THE NIGHT) appears and this is why in this verse Allah uses the Arabic word ILA (UNTIL). As you can see Allah makes this easy for us. It is only man's innovations which are making things, including our understanding difficulthttp//i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z354/zyvn55/ThumaaAtimmuuSiyaamaIlaAlLayli.jpg

If this is wakas argument, my document that you can download clearly rebuttals that distorted interpretation. In my document I have clearly proven through tons of examples that during the period of al Layl there is no light outside or in the horizon. Now pay close attention to the verse that you highlighted which proves that there is no light during the period of Al Layl

my advise you are driving so fast , be careful the chances of accidents are lot more what you are expecting,
by the what do you understand about two ends of day when night and morning contact prayers due,
or you also have another interpretation for this .

Peace Al Khidr19, great points, my understanding of what you are saying is this
There is a blending or mixing of day and night, however the command is not
to break the fast during this mixed period but to break the fast when it is dark outside? Now I move to Al Shams if you don't mind. & give your understanding
and the day when it reveals or displays it (the sun)
does this mean when the sun is on display it is day?and the night when it covers/conceals it.
does this mean that when the sun is no longer visible it is night?
It does not seem as though 2/187 is the only relevant ayat, about the fast please explain.http//images.clipartof.com/small/1047320-Royalty-Free-RF-Clip-Art-Illustration-Of-A-Businessman-Checking-His-Watch-1.jpg

Peace,
Thank you for reply bro.
But I was seeking a simple two or more words translation of ghasaq alLayl.Your reply was confusing it says 3 salaat and 5 salaat and trying to prove it.
And it says Ghasaq means sunset how will you relate alLayl with it.And in your reply it says Arabic word ila means "as it moves towards" why this cannot be applied to 2187 which says ila alLayl.?
Please explain in normal text instead. Thanks. -

If you just wanted an isolated translation for "ghasaqi" then I have provided that in my explanation and I have highlighted it in brown. Now about "Ila" you over looked that I said it literally means "UNTIL" and I have also presented this in the Arabic break down. You can use "UNTIL" as the translation if that is more easier for you to comprehend because the context or interpretation will still remain the same.

"There is a blending or mixing of day and night, however the command is not

I am not in a rush.
Thanks for the links inshaAllah I check that out. -
Peace.
The question is what is "Al-Layl". If Qoran says "Al-Layl" covers the sun, then it starts when the sun goes behind the horizon!
Hence "Al-Layl" is sunset to sunrise. So, until "Al-Layl" means until "the sun sets".
So often, we say we follow Qoran, yet we go on complicating issues . If "Al-Layl" starts at sunset, when does "darkness" set in? Don t you think this will also become an issue?Do we all agree on a certain time after sunset to break the fast? Will we be making a calculated or improvised guess? However the start of "Al-Layl " is clear to everyone around the world when their sun sets".
There is no argument or issue about the "Al-Layl" as far as Qoran goes.
As far as rites are concerned there is no ambiguity about the message from GOD. Messengers are sent to clarify for us our rites clear and simple. Whatever you understand from Qoran go with it, do not follow others without "Bayyinah" from your Lord saying you should follow them. Each will only be responsible for themselves.
GOD bless.
Peace.
