I have been trying to find a jinn. I thought that if i find / see a jinn with my own eyes, it proves that jinns exist and so islam must be true. If only it was so simple.

I've been reading up on a lot of theories and have come to a conclusion. This theory was actually but forward by someone else but i cant find the link. The crux of it is basically that

'Jinns', considered as supernatural shapeshifting beings, do not exist. 'Jinn' means 'unseen', and so when the quran was talking about jinns , it mean 'the unseen'. This included anything living that was unseen at the time, i.e. bacteria, viruses, tribes who hid in the mountains / forests (therefore being the 'unseen' people), small bugs and parasites.

Now look back at the texts talking about jinns, it seems to make more sense. Hangs around toilets and dirty places, clean youself or the jinn will come? viruses obviously. Stays on snakes and dogs? smalls bugs and parasites. Flies through the air? diseases, virsues. And for the texts about when people met jinns / were kidnapped by jinns, 'jinns' refered to the unseen tribes who hid around the place / tribes of criminals who remained out of sight of society. NOWHERE in the quran does it say that jinns can possess people.

All videos of people being possessed are false. People cannot get posseseed by these jinns as they do not exist like that. All of these 'possesions' can be explained by science and psychology, if you put your mystical stuff to one side. These are conditions that can be treated and ARE treated, not by imams but by doctors. People seeing jinns in the middle of the night? look up 'paralysis attacks' on the internet! please! so many people come to me and say they have seen a jinn and describe the symptons of paralysis attack its unbelieable.

Summoning a jinn? these kind of seances and summonings are false and have been proven false by western scientitst for years.

Has anyone here actually seen one of these mystical jinns with their own eyes? No! taken a photo of one? of course not. The only evidence people show me is 'possessed' people (really mentally ill people whose condition has not been diagnosed due to the poor country not having a psychology department) and stupid videos on the internet.

I'd love to hear your views on this / hear from someone who really honestly thinks THEY (not their family) have SEEN a jinns face not just "i felt there was something in the room".

      Jin Hunter

I lived in alone in a very big house which really was very scary experience. I don't know whether they were jinns or something else but sure there was something. There was one more incident which I really don't have any logical explnation.

Besides these two experiences I really did not feel any fear or seen anything else. If you catch any jin during your hunting share with us.

        Peace,

KGB, in big houses, and also old houses, because of the build of materials and the always slight vibration of the earth, this together creates a slight electro-magnetic field, which can causes slight differences in your senses and memory. Because of this, people can feel, hear or see things which are not there. Certain building materials were always the common thing which a lot of 'haunted'houses had.

        Peace

or it could just be a mental illness, or even better, a conspiracy. I'll let Magi take over from here. )

              peace all,

if jinn is "the unseen" then how come allah did not use the word "jinn" in this verse (arabic)Those who believe in the
              unseen
, and uphold the contact-method, and from Our provisions to them they spend(23).

              do you not think ?

              peace, rifat

God uses different words that mean the same everywhere throughout the Quran, also the jinn refer to the things not seen that are connected with us, that are made by us. I have written an article about it, i will send it to you personaly, because it is not ready yet to post on the forum. But jinn can refer to legnds, desires, fantasies, people from foreign regions, nomads, hermits, munks, travellers and so on. So the unseen refers to in that verse, is a different unseen, then with the term jinn. As this is directly connected with the humans.

I don't know what you could call this... but back when I was in college my roommate and I would hear children's laughter that turned into really horrible screams as if something tragic was happening to them. Then a door would slam shut or a light switch would shut off and back on again. There were countless other scary instances we both experienced in that apartment. While I don't know if they were jinn or something else, there definitely was something doing that. We both couldn't have been temporarily insane at the same time ;D

                    Peace,

People underestimate the influence we have on matter. A lot of times when things moved it had to do with a person in the group that was extra sensitive and could connect to influence matter.

It will be a waste of time discussing jinn issue because most of you will deny the clear verses of Qur'an with your own understanding of getting the meaning what you wanted by searching and picking up the defination which is more suited to your minds.

1527 And the jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind.

1850 Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam" They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!

Qur'an when all become allegory with the use of classic arabic meanings which makes the message illogical can't be correct. There are few people who will keep disorting the message of Qur'an to suit their mind.

There are plenty of verses in Qur'an which seperates jins from humans. They don't believe it because their whole mission is to modernized Islam.

Salam to you KGB, Salam to all

If we could only understand that real Islam is the most modernized without having to improve on it. When will God's Word ever be enough for mankind?

267 Moses said to his people, "GOD commands you to sacrifice a heifer." They said, "Are you mocking us?" He said, "GOD forbid, that I should behave like the ignorant ones."
268 They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us which one." He said, "He says that she is a heifer that is neither too old, nor too young; of an intermediate age. Now, carry out what you are commanded to do."
269 They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us her color." He said, "He says that she is a yellow heifer, bright colored, pleases the beholders."
270 They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us which one. The heifers look alike to us and, GOD willing, we will be guided."
271 He said, "He says that she is a heifer that was never humiliated in plowing the land or watering the crops; free from any blemish." They said, "Now you have brought the truth." They finally sacrificed her, after this lengthy reluctance.
275 Do you expect them to believe as you do, when some of them used to hear the word of GOD, then distort it, with full understanding thereof, and deliberately?

Let us not be of those who challenge God's Word to the point of distortion.
                                Peace

Allegorical? No kgb, jinn is not metaphoric, it is clear. Djinn means things/beings not seen. It is the same as saying walking beings, a lot of beings fall under that group. This is the same with jinn. It doesn't refer to one thing or being. It only gives one charachter, it is not seen directly or not seen at all.
This has nothing to do with allegory's.

Also soul2aqueze. This verse implies to several things, but if you look closely, the mentioning of jinn being made out of fire ALWAYS is together with the man made out of clay. So this refers not that ALL jinn are made out of fire. You have to translate the word jinn and see the context of how the word is used together with humans everytime.

I can not explain with one post. If you want i'll send you my article, then you can judge.

That is your understanding and jin shaitan are seperate entities than humans is mine. Live with your own understanding and let me live with the understanding which I have. This translation of jin translated as the unseen tribles was introduced by Alama Ghulam Pervaz and I don't agree with them. Message lost its consistancy and become illogical with this translation.
