So didn't you ask the guy what he was saying? If it was me, I'd have grabbed him by the collar and demanded he tell all! If you know him, I suggest you ask him but by this time it's probably too late.
Yea you're right i should've, but I was just too spooked I sort of just sat there frozen lol while everyone else was like 'huh? anyway'. I didn't really know him, i could tell he was a janitor because he was walking with the rest of them with cleaning supplies out of the college. It would've been interesting to see what he told me or if he even realized what he was doing - which to me i felt like he didn't even realize it because they all looked so tired and were looking down on the ground as they were walking. He was too and then all of a sudden he turned around looked straight at me and i felt like there was all this hostility in his face. Then he turned around and kept walking with his head down looking tired again. So to me the whole bit of him telling me something seemed out of place with his general attitude at the time.
Yea I guess that'll forever be a mystery though, since i left the college and egypt altogether a long time ago...As for my story, well...I'll PM the details.
Please do if you don't mind!
Peace Amanda,
I think it's comforting to be able to fit everything in a neat little box. It gives a sense of comfort to us when we can rationalize through something. When things are foreign and uncomprehensible it creates a sense of fear. Unfortunately, we as humans are limited in our capacity to understand everything around us. So by rationalizing things that may be beyond our comprehension only creates a sense of false security and a false sense of power over one's environment. There are some things our senses or our minds can't explain away. It's humbling in a way to realize our limitations in this world.Peace all

nothing fits neatly in a box when it comes to jinns
i am now only coming to a understanding and my perception is based on what GOD has taught me of the scripture and quran and what ive seen felt experienced
in no way can one explain it so easily im trying to make it make sense that GODS WORDS ARE TRUE
when he says they devils jinns etc have no power nfluence over you if you are beeliuvers
i guess im just saying this is true they are created as a seprate race in my research and they did have influence over me before coming to GO alone but not anymore my story A TESTAMENT a proclamation to prove that GODS WORDS ARE TRUE ABOUT THIS MATTER
amanda

Peace Amanda
oh no i was agreeing with you that you can't explain it away thru science. that some things just don't fit into that box
Peace ) -
salam alykum
EXACTLY...
i have come to this understanding
the DEVIL and jinns whisper bad thoughts the devil choose to not SERVE us
the ANGELS are supposed to SERVE us
perhps the devils jinns inspiore bad negative thoughts
while the angels inspire positive thoughts etc
the nafs is uspposed to choose
between the two good and evil
the unbeleivers like i was listen and follow the jinns and devils
and the true beleivers recognize it is the devil jinns whispering these things
and thus inshallah try to follow the good positive thoughtsthus when one seeks help from jinns devils etc
they give you adversity
also if angels can take n the form of a human
and the devil was once an angel right
perhaps he is able to do this also allahu ellembut all those poeple saying they are trying to find a jinn are seeking help form them subconsciously and hence are afflicted more with the negative or alternate thoughts and hence all these theories that conflict with GODS WORDS

Thank you for sharing your story s2s, this was clearly a jinn encounter, and it seems they were muslim jinns too... I also believe the Indonesian guy helped you well to defend you from further encounters. My mother and uncle had experiences with jinns too. Of course some scientists will dismiss these stories as hallucinations or group hallucinations... There is an ayat in Quran that apparently ward off touching by jinns, and I hardwired it into my consciousness. I usually have certain kinds of nightmares about a dark being that surrounds me and terrorises me, I then automatically start reading the ayat in my dream and it dissolves him.

Yes this is exactly what the Indonesian guru said as well! He said they were warning me of doing that again because they were Muslim and didn't approve of what happened. He actually said they didn't even approve of me living with a Christian who would have different values than I.
I also believe the Indonesian guy helped you well to defend you from further encounters.
I think he did. Unless there was some kind of slip of the hand going on when he was trying to prove it to me by trying to hit me with a belt and using a knife on my hand... but it seemed legit to me. It didn't look like he was trying to play tricks on me. So that must mean that whatever he did worked. I have so many question marks in my head about everything he did honestly. But he didn't come across as a fake at all. In fact he seemed to be extremely spiritual, one of the most spiritual I've ever met.

I find it really interesting that you recite quran in your dream! that is amazing Masha-Allah
I have no doubt that there are invisible beings out there that we will never be able to fully explain with our 5 senses. I guess it's easier and comforting for some to find a way to rationally explain the unknown. Thanks for being understanding

You are welcome Sis.
I never had a direct encounter with Jinns like you did, and in fact I would prefer not to, apart from maybe in dreams as I narrated.
I believe all humans are protected by the Almighty against Jinns manifestations, as they would really destroy us if this were not so... I also believe they can be invoked through rituals and incantations, and those reckless enough to do so can incur grievous harm. Apart from those who do it via the Quran and Allah's consciousness with the purpose of doing good, like the Indonesian brother.
Take care

Peace Soul2Squeeze,
I hopped over here from the other jinn thread thinking...well, I don't know what I was thinking but I definitely wasn't expecting what you expressed. Thanks for sharing your story with everyone. I'm not out to disprove what you've experienced, simply because I wasn't there and you've come off as quite sincere. That's something I don't write off as simply anectdotal. Anyway, I've also had some freaky occurrences take place in my life, but nothing of this magnitude. For me, I could always explain it to myself in the context of flashes of attunement with higher perception.
Despite my recent ramblings and my current fascination with logic, I do still and probably always will believe/know that there is much more to life than meets the eye. I've found the Holographic Paradigm to do very well in expressing these things that we can't quite translate.
Just a thought that may or may not aid you in coming to an understanding. Perhaps what you experienced was not something that was happening then and there, but something that happened a long time ago. Hear me out for just a sec...Many cases of paranormal activity revolve around some extreme emotion. I think of your description of the children laughing, and then screaming. Perhaps something terrible happened to these children a long time ago, and the energy they put out was imprinted on "the field". And what you experienced was not something taking place live, but you actually tapped into the field and witnessed it for the first time, even though it happened long ago - the same way psychics can see people that have been murdered and such.
Technically, all thought is a form of energy. And energy doesn't just vanish. It moves along it's course. The stronger the thought, the more vibrant the radiation, and the more likely it will be noticed. Like, if you drop a pebble into the ocean, the ripples exist and can be subtly noticed. But if the face of a 300 foot glacier breaks off, the ripples will be immense, and can be easily noticed by all who are paying attention to the ocean.
Anyway, just some food for thought. Thanks again for sharing.
Peace,

That's so interesting that you specifically mention this
I think of your description of the children laughing, and then screaming. Perhaps something terrible happened to these children a long time ago, and the energy they put out was imprinted on "the field". And what you experienced was not something taking place live, but you actually tapped into the field and witnessed it for the first time, even though it happened long ago - the same way psychics can see people that have been murdered and such.
This is the exact feeling i had when i heard the screams. i mean they were horrifying, blood-curdling screams but at the same time, i felt my heart ache. i felt like i somehow wanted to help, knowing i can't. It really sounded like something horrible was happening to those kids. That was actually the worst of all the experiences i had in that apartment... hearing those children laugh and then scream. Perhaps it was the polarity of the two that made me feel so shocked. The laughter was so innocent. it was like children playing and giggling! then they turned into the screaming... My roommate also got goose-bumps from that
Very perceptive of you that you picked up on that specific experience ...
I don't rule out any explanation of what happened there, simply because it's all beyond my understanding.. perhaps i'll never know exactly what was happening, but i know it all definitely happened.Your notion of vibrations of energy, I think, might explain the whole idea of jinn. I only believe jinn to mean invisible beings. So whether that be invisible vibrational energy, or something else along those lines would work for me. Scientifically that could probably be the closest explanation of what the nature of a jinn is!
I appreciate your sincerity as well

Neither explanation invalidates the other, you could have it both ways.
The theory of remnant radiation has been put forward in the study of the paranormal as much as the memory of water was put forward by those who advocate Homeopathy scientifically (Dr Benveniste et al.).
I am a scientist, not a brilliant one, but scientists are well known to try and reduce things to logic and models based on building blocks they can already measure.
They will most probably never measure the presence of Allah, or of Angels or other unseen spiritual beings, as they could not measure or account for thoughts or emotions or levels of happiness or fear, only with very crude indirect manipulation of the chemistry and tissues of the brain.
I am open to most things, but in the case of the Quran, I have chosen to become a submitter, and part of this means that I believe what is narrated to me, especially that a lot of the narrative confirms many factual findings in Science which were impossible to have been made by one individual living over 1400 years ago. Science will catch up with what is not yet explained if Allah so wills.
Mine is a leap of faith, it might seem odd for a scientist, but there it is.

I'm just a bit surprised that a Jewish Rabbi wasn't also called in to perhaps smear some blood over the doors or something. Maybe a local witch doctor even, who knows it may have worked.
Quite clearly the Christian holy water was a sham. I wasn't aware that people drank it though - I would have thought it quite degrading to the blessed water molecules to end up in soul2squeeze's bladder, only to be excreted into a toilet unceremoniously.

Perhaps you misunderstood.
I'll copy my note on your thread here so that you and others would take heed.Just a note to all I'm not in the mood to defend myself on something that actually happened in my past and something traumatic enough to take me a long time to get over. So please don't think this is a free invitation to put me on trial. Honest questions, respectful reactions, and possible explanations are all welcome. Insults and cross-questioning are really not welcome at all. Thanks in advance
you may find it all "quite surprising" and humorous and whatever else, but it's not really welcomed so you -and anyone else who has the inclination- can keep your facetious comments to yourselves.

They had a good go at me too in other threads...

Hi S2S,
I'm only making levity of the antics of the men of organised religion having their various concoctions/water. I neither questioned nor criticised your experience of it which does sound traumatic, so please don't take my comments the wrong way.
Many people here don't understand satire, and that in itself is amusing also.
Regards.
PS Perhaps I shouldn't have brought your bladder into it, but the subject really was the little christianized H2O molecules vibrating with mystical Coptic chants and not your bladder per se.

Peace soul2squeeze,
Wow, very amazing/scary experience. There are a lot of things we can not possibly understand, and will never understand until the next life (if God reveals such things to us).
Unfortunately, we as humans are limited in our capacity to understand everything around us. So by rationalizing things that may be beyond our comprehension only creates a sense of false security and a false sense of power over one's environment. There are some things our senses or our minds can't explain away. It's humbling in a way to realize our limitations in this world.
Well said. It does create a false sense of security, though with all things that are false, they are weak and crumble easily. To be humble and submit/surrender to God and to realize our limitations is to be truly free and peaceful.

No worries dear brother. No harm done
I too was perplexed by all the rituals that went on in this matter

You're absolutely right. You said
To be humble and submit/surrender to God and to realize our limitations is to be truly free and peaceful.
I couldn't have said it better !
Thank you both for your input

Peace S2S,
Could you elaborate a bit on these experiences (details/timing/place etc), I would really like to know more about them. You have asked S2S to elaborate, and so she did, candidly bravo
Then you wrote this
I have had some strange occurences of my own
Making me curious, and I went on reading through the thread thinking that I will soon reach your story about the strange occurences only to see your reply
Peace S2S,
As for my story, well...I'll PM the details.???

Hehe, well once I posted some of the incidents and got flamed for it so once burnt twice shy or something like that! Would you settle for a PM? D
