Why do you beleive the Quran to be the Word of GOD?
-
it is BS
If you are talking about the Quran, then THIS IS DEFINTELY NOT THE RIGHT FORUM FOR YOU.
Read a bit about the Quran and it's miracles.I'll give you an intro
The word "day" is mentioned 365 times
The words "days" is mentiond 30 times
The word "month" is mentioned 12 timesThe word "land" is mentioned 15 times
The word "sea" is mentioned 32 times
Let's do some math
32+15 = 45
32/45 = 71.111...
15/45 = 28.888.. (28.89 when rounded)THAT'S THE EXACT RATIO OF LAND TO SEA OF THE EARTH - IN THE QURAN!

Don't sweat it, only people who fear God believe in the Quran.

Peace,
Respectfully.Because God has answered my prayers in a very short period of time.
Because it proves to be right when i look at the world around me.
Because i'm constantly getting info and knowledge from it.Glory be to our God.
Peace.I know some guy who converted to Islam only because it forbids usury. We return to our Creator for lots of reasons which proves He is the Creator.

if it wasn't the word of ALLAH why is there a great "religious" following? people are dedicating their lives to islam living and dying as only followers.....seriously?
do you really have to ask this question?
i understand if you didn't picture the whole
may ALLAH guide the believers. -
Shalom Aleikhem,
if it wasn't the word of ALLAH why is there a great "religious" following? people are dedicating their lives to islam living and dying as only followers.....seriously?
do you really have to ask this question?
i understand if you didn't picture the whole
may ALLAH guide the believers.Logical fallacy in your reasoning Argumentum ad populum.
From wiki "In argumentation theory, an argumentum ad populum (Latin for "appeal to the people" is a fallacious argument that concludes a proposition to be true because many or most people believe it. In other words, the basic idea of the argument is "If many believe so, it is so.""
As Bill Maher would put it This is the logical equivalent of saying "Eat shit!! 20 trillion flies can not be wrong""
And about people being dedicated and even dying Isn't that the same for virtually all religions? Forget religion, let me give you one example for now. Do you know about heaven's gate cult? These people believed in aliens and actually carried out a mass suicide for that. There are many such cults. So what? Now their beliefs are true as well?

Peace,
It contains virtually no nonsense and after becoming more wise I have seen that I am more blessed. It is one of the most misinterpreted books in the world, but the more honest one is to the truth the more clear it becomes. It was written down by a human, but he was channeling inspiration from God and one can sense that while reading it.
God bless you

Mad props on the Bill Maher quote. Watch that show every week.

Allah has already presented His argument. It is now the time for a counterargument.
Therefore the question
IS NOT
Why do you believe the Quran to be the Word of GOD?
BUT
Why do you believe the Quran is NOT the Word of GOD?
Can people counter Allah's arguments?
This is the issue, and it is absurd for people to repeatedly ask for the main argument through blank denials; and without presenting any counterargument.
. . .
and . . . how to counter Allah's argument?
Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an,
they could not produce the like of it,
even if they were to each other assistants."
17.88Or do they say, "He invented it"?
Say, "Then bring ten surahs like it that have been invented
and call upon whomever you can besides Allah , if you should be truthful."
11.13Do they find any Book like the Quran ?
If there is none, or none has ever existed since the beginning of mankind . .
They have to obey Allah.
Conclusion
And
you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant
produce a surah the like thereof
and call upon your witnesses other than Allah ,
if you should be truthful. But if you do not
and you will never be able to
then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.2.23-24
Therefore. . .
Issue
Why do you believe the Quran is NOT the Word of GOD?
Counterargument (how to counter Allah's argument)
Produce one like the Quran, without any inconsistency and amendment
and corroborating with history, science, nature, universe, future etc. . .ELSE. . . obey Allah!

Really I do not know of anbody who has attempted to produce a book like the Qur'an. Those who dispise it would feel it was beneath their "dignity" to write such a thing. And those who say they have read many things better than the Qur'an really do not know the Qur'an, they are Qur'an blind becaused they have already boxed it in some slot marked "blabber". In order to read the Qur'an, the real, you have to leave outside all preconceived notions and be utterly honest. It is not for nothing that the Qur'an says that only the pure can touch it. Sice the Qur'an is in the memore, the touching is not of course of some paper but of its content.
And the ore we leave behind ruminated stuff when dealing with the Qur'an, the better for us. I am grateful to God that so many quandaries of principle I have met the Qur'an has answered clearly and purely. It is at the particular service of none and it is a light for each person who seeks honestly.
Alhamdulillah

The experience with the Quran the first time I read it, was very inspiring for me. I powered through it in a week and a half, and by the time I finished reading it I knew I was a Muslim. I had never, and still have never, read something that made me feel an intrinsic sense of guilt for my previous actions and ignorance. Since then, I have read the book front-back again, and continue to read it now. I constantly come out of my reading feeling as though I know and/or understand more about how God wants me to serve Him. And I always feel obligated to apply my new-found knowledge.
I've read a lot of books, many with great lessons. But none have affected me in the same way as the Quran.
