Brother mmkhan I agree completely with you. Everything is from Allah but what we consider bad is because of ourselves. If we fail an exam we can consider it bad, get angry with the teacher or leave the school. WE will wrong ourselves.
But if we think the teacher did as he had to do, we can accept that, study harder and try to pass next time. We will consider this situation a good one and this will be closer to God.

Because it depends on which eyes will u use to see. You will understand that everything has a positive angle that Allah has given you from His Mercy. So everything comes from Allah, what you consider good is from Him and what you consider bad is because you think it is.

That's my understanding of these verses.

I think you missed the point of my post. My intention was not to give evidences of what I was saying. Riz wanted another plausible explanation about what could happened then, back on the time of the Prophet. I gave him a logic story (conjectures as I remarked) and as you I want somebody to prove if this could have happened in reality.

About the northern and southern dialects, in islamic awareness there are some manuscripts from the Pre-Islamic era. You will see that all the classical arabic manuscripts have been found in the north of saudi arabia with greek or syriac or nabatean. The script from the south is different. And these remains have been found as far as Madain Saleh (before the Prophet) and Medina (during the Prophet's time). 50 years later appears an inscription of Muawiya in Taif. It's quite suspicious that no arabic inscriptions from Yahiliya have been found there.

Anyway...I have no time now to do research and try to find evidences to all this. I will try later. Keep looking 4 the truth my brother )

As Qur'an says, Muhammad was not the father of any men so he hadn't any son ( or as traditionally it's believed, all of them died). I think the answers of the main problem could be solved if we turn back to the "Fitna". It was just a question of succesion?? Or it was Only Qur'an against Qur'an & Sunna??

When Muhammad arrived to Mecca he destroyed all the idols but left the sanctuary on. He just converted it into a masjid (a place to pray, to reflect about God, to be with other brothers&sisters and debate etc). He then died. The people of the center of Arabia could not read the real Qur'an reveled in the north so that's why they had to put the dots and vowels to read and understand. Obviously, that's why Muhammad could not been an inhabitant of Mecca because their language and his was not exactly the same. The arabic from Meca developed from the southern one, not from the northern.

I don't think Muhammad was a conqueror. I think he fight only those people who wanted him or the believers dead. Probably the next khalifas expanded the empire. Omar above all.

Well...this is just a beginning...only conjecture because now it's not supported by anything...but I think is a plausible explanation.

I think Riz that he was sent to the people who rejected Moses before him. It's just a different generation,but probably the same place. And this place should be

• near Mount Sin were Musa got the Torah
• near the cities of Lut
• near the cities of the people of Nuh, Ad and Zamud
• near (or in) an important road (the Silk Route)

I remind you that Arabic came from the Nabatean language, beside Petra is Jebel Harun as well as Wadi Musa. And it was the main capital of Arabia Petrae (so still is Arabia). The second capital was Madain Saleh, that's why it makes sense the ayat which tells about the "2 important cities".
And when Allah talks about the "umm al-qura" It should be a real amazing city, a capital, a metropolis from an area more os less organized, an state. There should be jews, christians and idolaters. Monks as well, so there should be a Church. There was a Church in Petra, was there in Mecca?? I have no idea.

I'm not saying that prophet Muhammad (sas) was from Petra but probably he was preaching there. Musa was born in Egypt, it doesn't matter. But he was preaching in and outside Egypt.

Just keep looking for the truth but don't accept something just because is a Lie so well built, but still is a lie and it cannot last forever.

May Allah guide us to the good path and follow not the liers,

I think the Quraish who we are told in Qur'an belonged to Petra or Madain Saleh or one of those important centres of the Caravan Route. Actually, Mecca was not one of them. Taif was, but less important. It must be one of the north.

Because Riz, the Bible says that the new prophet would come from the tribes of Kedar, and these tribes settled on what we call now Jordan. Anybody knows something about Qurayza??? Have they anything to do with Quraish?

Anyway, we dont have much info from Saudi Arabia because of obvious reasons (they have so much to hide) and we know just from written words (that they wrote) that Kaaba was a temple dedicated to Allat, al Uzza and Manat. What happens if it's not like that? Petra and MAdain Saleh are clearly signs that they hosted shrines to these goddesses but I beliebe the Kaaba in Mecca is an hindu temple and Shiva the main god. God and not goddesses...

I don't have any doubt about Muhammad having migrated to Medina but I still doubt that he iniciated all the conquests of Arabia. A prophet is not a conqueror. He was not a king neither as Daud and Sulaiman were.

Anyway, we could spend all life discussing this. If it was important, Allah would have tell us. Probably we'll now what is wrong in the Sunni way but it will be difficult to know the truth about the beginning of Islam.

Hello to everyone. I really appreciate all your efforts and research. It helps me so much and I prefer seeing bros and sis talking and sharing better than fighting.

I think that always has been a place. Everything happens in a place and there must be one place where Ibrahim first built an altar for God. Ignore this is quite naive as ignoring that there is a mountain on this earth where Moses received the Torah. It's not a tale, that mountain exists even if we don't know where it is.

So we must discover where is maqam Ibrahim. Personally, I think it is on Mount Gerizim. If you open your Bible, you will see that the first place where Abraham built an altar was there,in Shechem, and after him, his sons and grandson Jacob went there to pray.
The Samaritan Torah says that this is the only one place to sacrifice and do the pilgrimages quoted in Qur'an.

Anyway, all rituals have a meaning because people feels connected with each other. But that's not the essential. The main point is believe in God and be good. If you have the chance to go on pilgrimage it will be a great experience.

I would like to know your reasons why to refuse Mount Gerizim as the House and Masjid al Haram.

My reasons to defend MG are that

1- Shechem first appears in the Tanakh in Genesis 126-8, which records how Abraham reached the "great tree of Moreh" at Shechem and offered sacrifice nearby. Later Joseph's bones were brought out of Egypt and reburied at Shechem.

2- We next see Shechem during the time of Abraham?s grandson, Jacob (Gen. 34). ?erected an altar there and called it El Elohe Israel? (Gen. 3320).

3- Shechem was appointed as a city of refuge after the Conquest of Canaan by the Israelites (Josh. 207). It was also the place where Joshua renewed the covenant with the tribes of Israel, and where they pledged to ?serve the LORD? (Josh. 2421). We are told that Joshua set up a large stone (what archaeologists call a masseba) and,

?set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of the LORD? (Josh. 2426).

Have you considered that Bacca and Baytullah is the same place as Samaritans call Beth El? Most of them lived in the valley of Shechem between Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal.

Their belief is that Abraham built in Shechem the very first altar for the one God and archeological excavations at the Mount Gerizim supports this affirmation.

I would like to know if somewhere in the Torah or New Testament we can read the word "system" or "process".

I don't think so. These are technical words probably coined not before XVI century.

Hajj is pilgrimage or festivals. By the way, the Hebrew word "Hag" means festival. And it's similar Hajj & Hag like Salam & Shalom.

Brother hafeez kazi thanks for your explanation, I've been reflecting about the same question quite months ago.

I'm confident when I think that Prophet Muhammad was from somewhere north of Arabia, I would say the land of Ezion-geber in the Gulf of Aqaba. That was one station of the major highway going north to Syria and it travels across the land of Edom, Petra as well, continue at south and east of the Dead Sea (where Sodom and Gomorra are supposed to be) etc. But it could be anywhere around there.

EDIT I used to deffend Jerusalem as the City of Peace and the House but now I think I was wrong. I deffend that is Shechem and not Jerusalem the place to gather. Jerusalem was not an important city until the jews came back from Babilonia. There are no arqueological evidences that once there was an ancient Temple for God there before their exile. So i've changed my mind.

Actually is quite interesting that Gerizim is called by the arab-speakers who dwell there "Jebel At-tur".

If i'm not mistaken, Jebel and Tur means the same thing. Mount or Mountain. It seams to me that they're emphasizing this Mountain with this name. What do u think???

Thank u for your reply. I had already that info, Bukhary 97/24, 10/129 and I suppose the first number is the Volume and the other the number of Hadith??

I download Sahih Bujari and Muslim quite a months ago and there is not volume number 97 because there're only 93 and when I look for 10/129 I read another hadith.

Probably you know a webpage where I can read this Hadith from there, the chain of narrators and if it is sahih, daif, etc.
